It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the calling to glory of Wycliffe Atswenje Oponyo on the morning of Monday 25″ August 2025 while undergoing treatment at jaramogi Oginga Odinga Hospital, Kisumu.

Son of the late Shem Chibole Oponyo and the late Paulina Chibole Oponyo.

Husband of Loise Oponyo. Father of Ann Oponyo, the late Patrick Oponyo, Pauline Oponyo and the late Beatrice Oponyo.

Brother of the late Winston Owaka, the late Dinah Musisi, the late Hudson Malenya, the late Zephania Opati Chibole, the late Salome Wanakacha, Mary Mutsoli, Pritt Chibole and Rumanus Ombona. Uncle and grandfather to many.

The burial will be held on Saturday 30th August 2025 at Ingotse Market, Navakholo Constituency, Kakamega County.
