Yucabeth Ajwang’ Kwanga

It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mama Yucabeth Ajwang’ Kwanga, which occurred on the 20th February 2018 at Kenyatta National Hospital.

Wife of the late Ismael Kwanga Kireu. Daughter of the late Mzee Nang’ Omwenyo and the late Mama Teresa Ochanda Nang’ (Nyogut), Sister of the late Rosa Onyango Ayot and the late Roselida Ondigo. Co-wife of Beatrice Kwanga, Percilla and Jane. Mother of Fred Kwanga (USA), Grace Onditi, Ebel Kwanga, Tom Kwanga (Advocate) Josphine Ondoro and Phares Kwanga, the late Beatrice Ondenge, the late Gordon Kwanga, the late Janet Ochieng and the late Marren Kwanga. Mother-in-law of the late Agnes Otieno, Esther Otieno, Susan Okumu, (USA), Millicent Okumu (South Africa), Linnet Opiyo, Nancy Mboya, Caroline Phares. Step-mother of Calvince, Frank, Felix, Emilly, Irene, Shemilla., George. Benard, Jack, Kepher and Odede.

Sister of Henry Ochieng Nang’, Javan Onyango Nang’, Arkipo Omollo Nang’, Joshua Olieng’, the late Joseph Oyier, the late Hezekia Rangili, the late Johnson Odundo, the late Ombok and the late Odiwa. Sister-in- law of the late Silas Omullo Kireu and late George Owuor Kireu. Grandma of Oliver, Venny, Tonney, Hannish, Peter, Janet, Sophy, Vallery, Brian, Chris, Mitchel, Nichole, Maliah Phill, Sandra, Bill, Adriel, Sally, Stephen, Augenia Cammilus, Vollan, Richard, Lue, Lucas, George among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Railways Club, Nairobi, and in her rural home in Chamgwadu village for funeral arrangements.

The main harambee will be held on Tuesday 6th March 2018 at Railways Club from 4.30 pm. Burial will be on Friday 9th March 2018 at her Chamgwadu home in Rongo Sub-County, Migori County.
