It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Yunes Obonyo Abere on 6th August 2018 at Kaplong Mission Hosipital.

Daughter of the late Nyagwencha and Kerubo. Beloved wife of the late Senior Chief Benjamin Abere and Co-wife of Alice Nyakerario and Yusabia Nyaboke. Mother of the late Hellen, Shem, the late Kenanda, Sarah, Alice, Kennedy, Mary, Enock, Moses, Haron, Masengo, Joyce, Phiraze, Silas and others. Sister of Kwenge, Tabitha, the late Osiri, the late Kerubo, Mokoro, Segera, Orucho and others. Mother-in-law of Elizabeth, Rael, Lilian, Everline, Nyamusi, Nolyne, Caro and others.

Sister-in-law of the late Ocharo, the late Nyakang’o, the late Gesora, the late Barake, Ornayio, Andrew, Director Kireki (Chairman Kebirigo Tea Factory), Omwoyo, Ontong’ino, Mwango, Yunuke, the late Moraa, Teresia Ogeto, Magoma, the late Getembe, Bochaeri and others. Korera of the late Nyang’au, the late Oeta, the late Machani, Mosoti, Onyancha, Joel Kilel, the late Arika, Nyabari, Tuti and others. Aunt of William, Richard Bugei, Kennedy Ogeto (Solicitor General), Richard Ondari, Charles Okong’o, Chief Raini, Lazaro, Onyancha, Rebecca, Kesia, Zablon, Samson, Daniel (Director Sang’anyi Tea Factory) and others. She leaves behind 38 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Family and friends are converging at Professional Centre tomorrow (14.08.2018) from 5pm and at her home on Wednesday 15/08/2018 for a fundraiser towards her medical bills and funeral expenses.

The cortege leaves Nyamira Nursing Home Mortuary on Thursday 16th August 2018 for burial at her home in Nyamwetureko village on 17th August 2018.
