It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Major George Benson
Kabue Magondu, pilot of the ill-fated KDF helicopter which crashed on 18th April 2024.

He was son of Mr. Charles Magondu Wachira (Kahawa Garrison School) and Mrs. Mary Wambui of Kieni Constituency, Nyeri County.

Husband of Captain Brenda Atieno Okello (KDF) and father of Liam Wallace Magondu Kabue (6yrs), Ryan Walter Kabue (4yrs) and Neil William Kabue (4yrs).

He was brother of Judy Nyokabi Magondu (American Embassy) and Samuel Wachira Magondu.

He was son-in-law of the late Walter Okello Ndege, Morine Okello and Margaret Okello of Ugunja Constituency, Siaya County. Brother-in-law of Fred Okello (Kenya Police), Erick Okello (Kenya Police), Gordon Okello (KQ), Ronny Okello, Sharon Okello (KDF), Purity Okello, Yvonne Okello (KDF), Beatrice Okello and Faith Okello.

Funeral arrangements are on-going at the parents’ home in Kimbo, Matangi Rd, Ruiru and family home in Kahawa
Garrison officers’ quarters.

The requiem mass will be held on Wednesday 24th April 2024 at Moi Air Base Nairobi.

The funeral will take place on Saturday 27th April 2024 at their Karemeno home in Kieni Constituency, Nyeri County.
