Ogeto Gecheo

1996 – 2016

Ogeto suffered spinal injury during a rugby match on December 3, 2016 and was hospitalised for treatment.
What looked like a promising surgical procedure turned sour when he developed breathing difficulty and
was promounced dead in the early hours of December 6, 2016.
He will be laid to rest on December 12 in Njoro, Nakuru County.

Mother of Agatha Obare, Joseph, Donald Mahaga (Africa Oil), Wilbroda, Petronilla, Mary, Gentrix, Cammy, Late Dr. Mbaga Mahaga, Patrick, Were, Bomba Mahaga (KPLC), Major Mahaga, Magana, William, Rosemary Obonyo, Roselyn Olung’ati and Joachim.
Grandmother of Tony, Oscar, Godfrey, Edwin, Frankline, Mahaga-Masheti, Veronica, Nuru, Mercy and Cyprian amongst many others.
Auntie of Cammy Otiato, Connie Ong’ong’a, Donald Wasike, Angeline Wasike, Fr. Oscar Wasike and Patrick Sarry.
Mother In-law of John Obare, Cletus Wanzala, the late Lucas Bwire and the late Elphas Nyasiri.
A requiem mass will be held on 13/12/16 at Consolata Shrine at 2pm. Family and friends will meet at All Saints Cathedral on 13/12/16 from 5.30pm for funeral arrangements.

Daughter of the late Nzioka Kika and Nzoli Nzioka. Wife of late Nyilu Kiithya. Daughter in law of late Kiithya Nthiwa and late Benedetti Kiithya. Mother of Veronica Mumo (Principal Mwala Girls), Domitah Musembi (D/HT Kathaayoni Primary), Josephat Nyilu (Nairobi), Dominic Nyilu (D/HT Kwakalunde Primary), late Justine Nyilu, Sister Susan Nyilu (Spain), Sister Anna Nyilu (Spain). Mother-in-law of Titus Kioko, Peter Musembi, Salome, Elizabeth Mwangangi and Veronica. Sister of Ndulu among others. Sister-in-law of Magdalene Mutinda among others.
 Friends and realtives are meeting daily at her home Kwawanzilu village and Shammah Hotel Masii from 4pm.There will be a fundraiser for hospital bill and funeral expenses on Wednesday 7th December 2016 (Mpesa 0712138535).
The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home Machakos on Monday 12th December 2016 at 8am. Holy mass and burial will be held at her home Kwawanzilu village – ikatini sub location on the same day.

We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Dickson Odhiambo Odondi formerly of KRA, which occurred on 30th November 2016 at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital – Kisumu.
Son of the late Mzee Wellington Odondi and the late Mama Anna Atieno Odondi of Gem Ramula, Siaya County.
Husband of Felister Lyimo Odhiambo. Father of the late Lillian Odhiambo, Ricky Odhiambo of USA, Pamela Atieno Karanja (Oracle Kenya), David Ambala & Rachel Odondi (Royal Media Services). Grandfather of Felister Odhiambo, Faith Odhiambo, Nathan Kimani & Shani Hera. Father-in-law of Rael Awero, Samuel Karanja (H+K Strategies -Nairobi), Elvis Otina (Elot Supplies). Brother of Truphena Oloo, Philip Ogolla, Alice Oluoko, Jacob Odondi, Evans Odondi, Stevens Odondi, Dr John Odondi & Felgona Odondi.

It’s with humble acceptance of God”s will that we announce the sudden demise of Betty Joseph Ambundo which occurred on the 30th November 2016 after a short illness.
Daughter of Joseph Alumasi and Christine Imereka of Soy, Likuyani. Wife of George Ambundo of State Department of Public Works. Mother of Dorrie, Maureen, Libby Clement and Tasha Ambundo. Sister of Gerald, the late Teresa, Rose, Veronica, Sarah, Pasilisa, Erastus and the late Peter Alumasi.
Sister-in-law of Leila & Abdallah Kulah, Frank & Rachel Shebesh (Nairobi County MP); and Jeff Ambundo among others.
A Harambee to offset Funeral expenses will be held at County Lounge at City Hall on Tuesday 6th December starting at 6pm.

Son of late Cheptoo Arap Chepyator and Kobilo of Kapsang (Tarkogot). Husband of Salome Kobilo of Kapsanaya (Kasisit). Father of John Toloin, Esther Jeptoo, Zipporah Limo, Philemon Toloin, James Toloin, Grace Toloin, Isaac Toloin, Elizabeth Toloin, late Patrick Toloin, Amos Toloin, Japheth Cheptoo, Symon Tolon and late Florence Toloin. Brother of Talaa of Tungo (Bartolimo), late Jacob Cherutich Cheptoo, late Kangogo Cheptoo, Talaa of Kapcheletwo (Kaptumo Lawan),Talaa of Kaabarkebo (Serutunin), Talaa of Kaptoigong (Ravin) and Talaa of Kapsokomo (Emining).
 He was blessed with79 grandchildren, 105 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden death of George Mugera Kang’ethe which occurred at Avenue Park Hospital on Monday 28th November 2016 following a short illness.
Son of the late Joseph Kang’ethe Wachira and Margaret Kabura Kang’ethe. Husband of Charity Nyawira (Safari Park Hotel-Casino). Father of Joseph Kevin Kang’ethe and Mark Mwangi (both of Brainston Academy). Brother of James Wachira, Hannah Wambui, Milka Wahito and Veronica Nduta.
Son-in-law of the late Joram Mwangi Maringa and Lilian Wanjiru Mwangi, brother-in-law of James Maringa, Isabella Wangeci,Tabitha Njeri, Margaret Mwangi, Francis lrungu, Emma Karimi, Stephen Kamau, Joseph Mwangi, Pauline Nyambura Wachira, Frederic Maina Macharia and Samuel Gakandu Ngugi. Cousin, uncle and a friend of many.
Friends and family are meeting daily for funeral arrangements in Nairobi from 5pm at Tsavo Hall Blue Spring Hotel in Garden Estate along Thika Road and in St Mary Murang’a at his father’s Home. 
George will be buried on Wednesday December 7th, 2016 at his father’s farm St Mary Village, Maragi location, Kiharu Division, Murang’a County.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the departure of Davidson Njoroge Wambura aka “Davo” on 29th November 2016 at Kitengela.
He was the loving son of the late Lilian Wambura Njoroge from Mukurweini-Giathuu-Thukuma village, Grandson of the late Reuben Njoroge and the late Eunice Njoki Njoroge. Brother of Jackline and Colin Williams of USA and Charlotte Wangui Wambura of Mombasa. Uncle of Lilian Wambura and others, Nephew, Cousin and friend to many.
The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Mortuary at 8:30am on Wednesday 7th December 2016 for burial at Thukuma Village. Meetings will be held on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th December 2016 at Garden Square Nairobi at 5:30pm.
