Josaphat Amolo Okol

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved father Josaphat Amolo Okol of Kochola village, Reru East Ward, Kisumu County which occurred on 17th November 2016 at Maseno Mission Hospital.
Brother of the late Okello Okol, Joyce Okol, Awino Okol and Adede Okol.
He is survived by his widows Mama Hannah Oketch and Mama Janet Ondijo.
Father of Moses Otieno, Tom Amolo, Livingston Ochieng’, Clerkson Ouma, Florence Otieno, Amos Opondo, Benter Amolo, George Ouko, the late Adonija Oginga, Patrice Lumumba, Pamela Onyango and Gordon Onyango.
Father in law of Carren, Irene, Valencier, Lencer, Alphonce, George, the late Wilfred and Rhoda.
Grandfather of Eveline, Erick, Ezekiel, Don, Junior, Charles, Evans, Judy, Michael, Hawi, Sharon, Boniface, Lawrence, Marion, Sheila, Francis, Gordon and Nerea.
He was a former councillor of West Seme location, former board chairman of Alwala Secondary School and former vice chairman of the defunct Kisumu County Council.
The cortege leaves Kisumu District Hospital Mortuary on 2nd December 201 to St Phillips Ochok ACK Church for funeral service, and thereafter the body will be taken to his home for overnight stay. Burial service will take place on 3rd December 2016 at his home in Kochola Village, Seme Sub-County.

We regret to announce the death of Gladwell Njeri Mathu of Buruburu which occurred at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, on 24th November 2016.
Daughter of the late Ishmael and the late Janet Wangari Kimani. Wife of Julius Gitau Mathu (Buruburu). Mother of Idah (USA), Brenda & Kristoff (Germany), Patricia Gathoni (Nairobi), George & Carol Mathu (USA). Grandmother of Isaac and Dominic. Sister of the late Peter Kimani, Kinyanjui, Nana and Kariuki of Ting’ang’a. Sister in law of Mr and Mrs Gugu Mathu (Kamunyaka), Mr &Mrs Komu Mathu (Kamunyaka), Mr & Mrs Njoroge Mathu (Ndiko), Mr & Mrs Wakaba Mathu (Karuri High School). Sister in law of Pauline Gicu (Rongai), Monica Ndungu (Nakuru), Gathoni Wahothi and Lydia Njuguna (Gakoe), Juliana Waweru (Nairobi) among others.
Relatives and Friends are meeting daily at Sagas Hotel next to Blue Springs Hotel along Thika Road from 6pm.
There will also be a fundraising on Thursday 1st December 2016 at the same place (Sagas Hotel) from 5pm.
There shall be a memorial service at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Buruburu on Monday 5th December 2016 from 2pm.
The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Mortuary on Wednesday 7th December 2016 at 8am for Gachege.
 
The funeral service will take place at St Teresa of Avila Catholic Church In Gachege from 10am. 
Thereafter burial will follow at the family Gachege Farm.

Wife of late Joseph Kiriro Njuguna. Mother of Bernard Ngugi, Peter Njuguna, Grace Nduta, Emily Wanjiru and Bernice Nyambura. Stepmother of Wanjiru, Macharia, Nymbura and Warigia of Lamu. Sister of Minne Wanjiru, Gerishon Njoroge, Loise Marekia, Willie Kiarie and others.
Grandmother of Mbugua Ngugi, Dennis Njuguna, Lawrence Mugwe, Kimani Kagunya, Sharon Kimani and others.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Jacob Chemjor Komen formerly of Tambach sub-county Hospital which occurred on November 10th 2016 at Baringo County Referral Hospital, Kabarnet.
Husband of Carol Jepkosgei Kipturgo, Father of Jemosop, Jepkonga, Kamaina and Sandra. 
Son of Komen Bondich and Targok Komen, Brother of Ruth, the late Pius, Roda, Elseba, Paul, Komen of Lang’ata Barracks, Christine, Esther Komen of NSSF and Jeptui.
The funeral service and burial will take place on Saturday December 3rd 2016 at home Kaimugui sub location, Ossen location, Baringo North sub-county from 10am.
To all who stood with us through our loss and pain thank you. We deeply appreciate your support.

Appreciation 
We the family of the late Mama Beth Manyii Kimeu wish to first and foremost thank the Almighty God for the Life he gave our beloved mum for us to share with her. We also wish to express our gratitude to all who stood with us in our time of bereavement, through your presence, prayers, comforting messages of condolences and encouragement, emotional, financial and material support.
Our special thanks to Prof C.F. Otieno and medical team from Mater Hospital who attended to her during her illness; Fr. Jeremiah, Fr. Paul, Fr. Thaddeus, Fr. Boniface, Fr. Alex and Fr. Savali, who presided over the funeral service.
We were deeply touched by the organizing committee led by Mr Daniel Mavindu, that mobilized the needed resources beyond our expectations. We are blessed to have such friends and are beyond words in expressing our gratitude.

Wife of the late John Obonyo Omalla of Ambira Village, Central Ugenya Location. Daughter of the late Mzee Jonam Uronda and the late Mama Rosa Adera of Orando (Seme Kaila). She was sister of Eba Ochola, the late Meshack Chuchu, Erastus Otiende, late Nereah Raten’g, Absalom Oyoko and the late Jason Osio.
Mother of James Oduor (formerly of the Ministry of Education), Risper Akinyi (of Rabar), Charles Obala Obonyo (SISDO – Nairobi) and the late Mildred Adhiambo. Co-wife of the late Pesika Obonyo, Joyce Obonyo and the late Mary Obonyo. Step mother of Jane Odindo, George Omalla, Clarice Mangiti, the late David Osoro, the late Dennis Omondi, Mariam Obonyo (USA), Elizabeth, the late Alice, Everline, the late Dick and Alice. The cortege leaves Sega Mission Funeral Home on Friday, 2nd December; 2016 at 12 noon for a church service at St. Paul ACK Church – Ambira at 2pm and thereafter proceed to her home at Ambira for a night vigil.
The burial ceremony shall be at her home opposite Ambira Secondary School, Central Ugenya, Siaya County on Saturday, 3rd December, 2016.

John Paul (judiciary Oyugis ), Praxedes, late Innocent Nandi and Eunice. Father in law of Joyce (Kapsabet Boys), Eric Omondi (Kitale), Adelaide (judiciary), Irenejudith, Ruth Eusebia and Hosea Shitemi. Son of Late Gaetano Shilombole and Late Rebecca Shimunzali. Brother of late Jairo & Leonida, Timna & late Luvonga, Tabitha & late Atsango, late Charles & Pauline, late Hosea & Leonida and late Sejero.
