Loving husband of Mrs. Millicent Atieno Awino and loving father of Vivian Achieng, Stacy Adhiambo and Sasha Atieno. Son of the late Mzee James Nyang’oma Ogwang’ and the late Mama Mariam Achieng Nyang’oma of Uyoma -South Ndigwa Sub-location. Son-in-law of the late Mzee Isaac Otieno and Mama Veronicah Achieng’ Abonyo of Uholo village. Brother of Ag. Bishop Joseph Paul Nyang’oma, Prof. Stephen Odundo, Benjamin Obunga, Rashid Otieno, Alice Ongoro, Silpher Achieng’, and Dorcus Amollo, among others. Brother-in-law of Fredrick Owino, Javanes Opiyo, Kennedy Otieno, and Margaret Akinyi among others.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at his residence at Mbotela Government Staff Quarters – next to Makongeni Estate Block A door 70, and at his parents’ home in Lwala area, Ndigwa Sub-Location, Uyoma South. There will be a major hararnbee at Tumaini Meeting Centre (behind Kencom) Nairobi, 5th floor Room 5J on Wednesday 8th March, 2017 from 5.00 p.m.

The cortege leaves Chiromo Funeral Parlour on Thursday 16th March, 2017 at 3pm for an overnight vigil at his residence and leave Nairobi in the morning of Friday 17th March, 2017 for burial at his father’s home on Saturday 18th March, 2017 from 9am.

Loving and present mother of Kimamo and Muringo,Wairimu and Mukunga, Muthoni and Kariuki, Irungu, late Grace and Jennifer,Wambui Kimathi, Wangui and Hon. Mwangi Kiunjuri – CS Ministry of Devolution and Planning.

Her daughters and sons gave her several tucucu and tucukuru, whom she lovingly doted on.

Sister of Kihuni & Mumbi, the late Wangui & late Muchiri, Wanjiru & Mukere, Kiragu Waihuini, Kagiri & Muthoni, Scola Irungu and the late Ambrose Gitonga. Prayers are being held daily from 4.00 pm at her home in Giakanja, from Tuesday, 7th to Thursday 9th, at the Maziwa (Kiamumbi) residence of Mr & Mrs Kariuki Munyorokut from 5.30 pm and at St Andrews PCEA Church, Lecture Hall 3 from Tuesday 7th Wednesday 8th, March 2017.

The cortege leaves Nyeri Outspan Funeral Home on Friday 10th March at 8.30a .m for the funeral service and burial at her Giakanja Home.

She was Headmistress at Arusha Alliance Primary School.

Wife of George Mbwabo of Arusha, Tanzania. Daughter of the late Fredrick Munyua Mbugua and Margaret Njeri Munyua of Nkoroi, Ongata Rongai. Mother of Fredrick Munyua, Brian Mugo and Stella Nangusha. Sister of James Mbugua Munyua, Tirus Waiyaki, Francis Njoroge Munyua and George Njuguna. Niece of Francis Njoroge Gathunuku. Aunt, sister in-law and cousin of many.

There will be a fund-raising on Wednesday 8th March 2017 at Delta Hotel, University Way Nairobi, and Nkoroi from 5.00pm to settle hospital bills and funeral expenses.

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the departing of our beloved father, friend, and teacher, Samuel Chege Mbugua, the late husband to Susan Elizabeth Mbugua, on 4th March, 2017 at Nairobi Hospital.

He was a retired lecturer in Commerce and Business Administration at the University of Nairobi. Son of the late Erastus Chege Mbugua and the late Damaris Nyambura Mbugua. Brother of Naomi Wanjiku and Michael Ngugi. Beloved husband of Susan Elizabeth Mbugua, and loving father of Elizabeth Nyambura Mbugua, Naomi Wanjiku Dillard, MaryEllen Njambi McMellion, Margaret Muthoni Mbugua and Mbugua Robert Chege. Dear grandfather of Tevin Wanyoike, Alexandria Dillard, Jamie Dillard, Eli McMellion, Elouise Chege and Mbugua Benson Chege.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers at the residence of Susan Mbugua from 4pm to 6pm.

The funeral service will be held at Good Shepherd Church, Ngong Rd. on Friday 10th March, 2017 at 10am.

The cortege will then leave on Saturday 11th March, 2017 from Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi, at 7:30am, and arrive at his home in Nyeri for burial at 11am.
