He was the son of the late Isaiah Onyango and the late Kezia Ong’weny. Husband to Eunice Ajode Odhiambo. Father of David Omondi, Hellen Achieng Orwa, Josephine Adhiambo Odhiambo, Jacob Ochieng’, Joan Akoth Odhiambo, Margaret Awuor Odhiambo, Isaiah Onyango Odhiambo and Isaac Owino Odhiambo. Brother to John Otieno, the late Mary Apes, Elizabeth Otonde, the late Benjamin Aran, the late Joseph Owino, Margaret Ongala, Walter Okoth Onyango, Ruth Awino, the late James Onende, Daniel Ongong’a, Jeremiah Otieno, David Otieno and Eunice Awuor. Father in Law to Ruth Gohole Omondi and Isaac Orwa Owino. Grandfather of Tim Otuoma Omondi, Miranda Achieng’ Omondi, Yunia Adhiambo Omondi, Joshua Mugobwa, lan Caleb Owino, Ivan Samuel Odhiambo, Zweena Ajode Eliana and Samantha Hawi-Nyangi.

A fundraiser to clear the outstanding medical bills and to raise money for burial expenses will be held on Sunday 21st May 2017 at LMS Guest House, Milimani, Opposite Integrity Centre from 2pm.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home at 12 noon on Wednesday 24th May 2017 for memorial service at Nairobi Central S.D.A Church, Nairobi at 2pm. Thereafter burial at his home in Alego Masumbi, Siaya County, on Friday 26 May 2017.

Father-in-Law of Jeremiah Karuma and grandfather to Misha Wanjiru.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Mwihoko (Kwa Jeshi), Githurai and Magomano Hotel Nairobi.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University on Saturday 20th May, 2017 at 8am for buria at Ichichi Location, Kangema Sub – County in Murang’a County.
