Appreciation

The family of the late Alfred Nteere Mugambi wishes to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for the great support we received during the difficult time following the demise of our dear Alfred. We thank our nuclear and extended family members, our relatives, friends, Prayer Partners; past and current work colleagues and school/college mates for their overwhelming prayers, condolence messages, financial support and physical visits.

We want to thank the Lord God Almighty for giving us our dear Alfred for the last 67 years. We further want to thank the following for supporting the family in many ways: Lavington United Church, Parklands Baptist Church and Methodist Church Githongo Meru, who continuously gave the family spiritual nourishment and guidance; Lavington United Church Reverends (Rev. John Maromba, Rev.Tom Otieno and Rev. Joseph Obwanda). Bishop Samuel Kathia, Rev. (Prof) Peter Mageto, Rev Joshua Mutethia and Rev. Canon Rosemary Mbogo who had very inspiring messages during the various meetings. To All Saints Cathedral, thank you for providing the meeting room and the District 8 Members of Lavington United Church for ensuring the meetings went on smoothly.

Special thanks go to the Funeral Organizing Committees in Nairobi and Meru under the able leadership of Mishek Kimathi (Don) and Kirai Warui respectively, the wonderful Mua Park residents and the many friends from within and outside the country – thank you for your consistent communication and ensuring the home was kept warm and operational: to Riiji Githongo neighbours, Githongo Welfare Association, Nkanatha Family, Famaso Limited, Toxel Investments Ltd, Lalijoy, Artis Capital Limited, Karanene Six, Njuguna’s and Mburu’s fraternity thank you for your availability and great Support. Special appreciation to the doctors, nurses and all medical and non-medical personnel at MP Shah Hospital who ensured Alfred received the best possible treatment and care and the Lee Funeral Home for their very professional services. Last but not least the service providers both in Nairobi and Meru for their very good services. We very much appreciate the immense support of all those who traveled from far and wide to be with us as we laid our dear one to rest. To all those who stood with us and who we are unable to thank in person, please accept the family’s profound and sincere gratitude.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Major General (Rtd) Eliud Simon Mbilu former Kenya Navy Commander on 30/04/2017 after a long battle with cancer at MP Shah Hospital.

Son of the late John and the late Dorcas Kithuku. Brother of the late Paul, Muli, Job, the late James and late Josephine.

Father of Marie, Betty, Peter, Nancy, Julie and Esther. Father in law of the late George Beauttah, Tom Mumanyi, Ken Muoki and George Muthama. Uncle, grandfather and great grandfather of many.

Body is at MP Shah Hospital mortuary.

Family, Relatives and Friends will be meeting at the All Saints Cathedral from 11/05/2017 from 5.30pm for burial arrangements.

Mother-in-law of Andrew Webo Situma. Grandmother of Abigail Kamwende, Malaika Nandechia, Aika Kamwende and many others. Daughter-in-law of the late Elijah Chiera and the late Lydia Theru Chiera, Sister of Nduta Kamanga, Gacau, Wanjiku, Wambui (Rev) Mugo, Wanja, Wangui, Mwaura, Kingangi, Wanjiru and Gicheha. Sister-in-law of Wangui and Mutura, Maina and Wamuyu, Wakunyu and Machira, Wanjiku and Mumo and aunty of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at their residence in Thome Estate near Ruaraka Academy, and at St.Andrews on Tuesday (9/05/2017) and Wednesday (10/05/2017) starting at 6pm.for prayers and funeral arrangements. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral home on Friday, 12/05/17 at Sam for a church service at RC.E.A Mathia church Dima Tea Factory Mathira, Nyeri at 11.00am and later for burial at Kiriko Village near Mathia Church.

Sister of the late Clement Oloo, Steven Ochieng, Lucy Okungu, the Late Francesca Awino Okoth and Dr. Alice Auma Ochanda; Sister-in- law of John Okungu, Francis Okoth, Professor Horace Ochanda, Philista Oloo and Mary Ochieng’. Mother-in-law of Aminu, Isabella, Josephine and Desma. Grandmother of John Lee, Mercy, Brandon, John Junior, Nicholas, Aaliyah, Shirley, Ceasar and Mariarita. Cousin and Aunty of many.

 

A Requiem mass will be held on Thursday 1 1 th May 2017 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Minor Basilica. Burial will take place on Saturday 13th May 2017 at her home in Ugunja, Central Ugenya, Siaya County.

29/7/1978 – 2/5/2017     The BOM and staff of Goibei Girls’ High School announces the promotion to glory of their beloved teacher, Mr. Rodgers Tsilwana Mutange, on 2nd May, 2017.
Son of Hudson Mutange and Gladys Ebogoi. Son in law of Bishop Lazarus Achimba (FGCK) and Elizabeth Kerubo. Husband of Grace Moraa of Kimogoi Dispensary. Father of Favour Buyanzi, Joshua Mshindi and John Baraka (Inganjii Star Junior Academy). Brother of Geoffrey, Nicholas, Josphat, Dennis, Lugard and Mercy. Brother in law of Peter, Nancy, Catherine,Lydia and Elijah.
The cortege leaves Vihiga County Referral Mortuary on Wednesday 10th May 2017 for  a service at Goibei Girls’, thereafter, the body will be taken to his home in Lugari via Hamisi. Burial will be held on Friday I 2th May 2017.

Friends and family are meeting for prayers at her home in Rukenya opposite Rukenya Secondary School. The cortege leaves Kibugi Mortuary on. Friday 12/05/2017 at 10:00am for the funeral service at A.C.K St. Marks Rukenya Church, thereafter she will be laid to rest at her farm in Rukenya.
