He was husband to Lucy Wanjiru Kagambi (formerly Mukima primary).. He was the son of the late George Kagambi Mvvenje and the late Margaret Gathoni Kagambi. Loving father to Susan Nguyo, Winnie Nguyo, George Nguyo, Robert Nguyo and Philip Njogu. Father of Paul Mube and Lucy Njeri Mube (USA), Lucy Njeri Njoroge, Gladwel Kinuthia, Evangelist Florence Nyambura Mbugua (ACK St. Adrews Limuru Parish) and John Njoroge Mbugua, Nancy Nduta Kahuthia(Scripture Union) and Caleb Kahuthia. Brother of the late Grace Nyambura Gichaga, Sospeter Muraga and Geofrey Thuo.
