Dr. Petronella Okinyo Mbeo

7th July 1955 – 15th June 2017

It is with deep sorrow that the Mbeo family announces the demise of Dr. Petronella Mbeo (Pet) of the University of Nairobi School of Pharmacy and Lake View Fisheries on Thursday 15 June 2017 at the Aga Khan University Hospital after a brave battle with Cancer.

Beloved wife of Hon. Ochieng’ Mbeo of Mfangano Island. Devoted mother of Michelle, Dr. Gilbert (Papa) Mbeo, Dianne and John (jay), all of USA. Daughter-in-law of the late Sen. Shelemiah Mbeo Onyango and the late Councillor Loise Auma Mbeo and Pamela Mbeo.

Mother-in-law of Irene Kafeero Mbeo. Grandmother of Marwa Ella and Gilbert (Ochi) Mbeo III. Nyawana of Mr Gerald and Mary Kafeero of Uganda. Daughter of the late Mzee John Joseph Odula and Pacifica Odula of Muhoroni. Sister of Connie Amolo,Vincent Odula, Liz Onyango (USA), the late Fred Odula, the late Meya, Stella Dimba (USA), Caroline Odeny, the late Beatrice Auma, the late Steve Ochieng’ and Charles Omondi. Funeral gatherings are taking place every evening, at No. 10 Argwings Kodhek Road, opp. Radar Security. There will be a major Harambee today,Thursday, 29th June at Nairobi Central S.D.A. Church (Maxwell) starting from 5pm. Donations can also be received through M-PESA Acc. No. 0795430836.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday 5th July at Nairobi Central S.D.A. Church from 2pm. Burial ceremony will be at Manyatta Farm, Awendo, Migori County on Friday 7th July, 2017 from 10am.

Beloved mother of Kilonzi, (former Deputy Ambassador to Spain), Wambua, Mawia, Nduo, the late Sammy, the late Tabitha, Mwende, the late Muthengi and Grace. Mother inlaw of Tabitha, Mwende, Lydia, the late Mwikali and Kanini.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at Garden Square, Nairobi starting at 5:30pm, Skyway Hotel, Mwingi at 6:30pm and at her home in Ilalambyu Village for funeral arrangements. Fundraising will be held at Garden Square and Skyway Hotel on Thursday, 29th July 2017 at 5:00pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on  1st July 2017 at 7:00am. Funeral service will take place at Ilalambyu Primary School Grounds at 1:00pm followed by burial Ceremony at her home grounds.

Family, Friends and Relatives are meeting daily at his residence in Jerusalem Estate Block M8-3005 and his Rural Home in Olago-Kamkwaya, Bondo of Siaya County.The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Thursday 6th July, 2017 for a requiem mass at Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church, Makadara from p.m., thereafter for an overnight stay at Jerusalem Estate. Burial will take place on Saturday 8th July, 2017 at his home in Olago Kamkwaya Village, Uyawi Sub-Location Central Sakwa Location in Bondo of Siaya County.

We,the family of the late Mama Rael Kavata Musaba, wife of the late Rtd. SSP Canon Ezekiel Mbindyo Musaba, deeply appreciate the overwhelming support accorded to us by you our friends; neighbours and relatives through prayers, visitations, financial and material contributions following the demise of Mama.

Special thanks to Dr. Caleb Achapa, the entire clergy and lay leaders of ACK St. Mark Yatta and the Rtd. Archbishop Benjamin Nzimbi.
