We the family of the late Mwalimu Julius Macharia Ndugire, wish to thank all those who stood with us during the illness, subsequent death, funeral arrangements and the final send off of our family patriarch. The support you gave us, whether moral, spiritual or material, gave us solace and comfort in a very trying and challenging period. And since it is not practically possible to mention each one of you by name, kindly allow us to mention a few.

We felt immensely, God’s love and grace directly to each one of us; and through the Church and the servants of the Everlasting God. Special mention goes to the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) led by the RT. Rev. Julius Karanu(Bishop Diocese of Murang’a South); the PCEA Gateway Church Thome, the ACK St. Mark’s Church Westlands, Prayers Beyond Boundaries Ministries Church and ACK Kamung’ang’a Church.

The entire family and community were touched by the moving tributes of His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta and Her Excellency First Lady Margaret Kenyatta. We are also grateful for the overwhelming support by Senior Public and Private Sector Officials. In particular, we were humbled by the presence of the many Cabinet Secretaries, Chief of Staff/Head of Public Service and Principal Secretaries at both the prayer meetings and burial ceremony.

We also wish to acknowledge and appreciate the dedication shown by the doctors. In particular, Dr. Gladwell Kiarie, Dr. Robert Mathenge, Dr. John Kariuki, Prof. Lule and Prof. Macharia. We shall be eternally grateful to the Nairobi Hospital and nurses, led by Ms. E Osinde, Mr. J. Kaloki, Mr. D. Ngugi, Mr. G. Kabane and Mr. E. Munene.

We also truly appreciate the dedication and sacrifice of the funeral arrangement committees at Gigiri (Chaired by Dr. Benson Wairegi), Holy Family Basilica(Chaired by Mr. Kinya Gichohi) and Gachocho; and all those who turned up for prayer meetings and final send off on 16th June, 2017. Once again, since it is not possible to reach out to each one of you, kindly accept the family’s gratitude led by Mrs. Phyllis Macharia(widow), children and relatives.

May the Almighty and Everlasting God bless you all.
