The family of the late Very Rev. Bernard Mwr-41 to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty God for blessing us with a loving husband, father grandfather, brother and friend

We wish to express our appreciation to many loving relatives, neighbours, clergy, friends – both local and international – who visited, called us, offered material and emotional support, we humbly request that you accept this note as an expression of our most sincere gratitude and appreciation.

Special thanks to the Head Office Secretariat of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) in particular the Moderator of the General Assembly, Right Rev. Julius Mwamba, Secretary General, Rev. Peter Kaniah and the Deputy Secretary General, Rev Alfred Kanga. This appreciation is shared with the GAC Business Committee for providing invaluable support in ensuring a befitting occasion.

To the leadership and members of PCEA Nyamachaki, Ruring’u, Riamukurwe and Kiriani Churches who assisted the family in giving him a very fitting farewell notwithstanding their kind messages of encouragement, we say thank you. In particular, we wish to recognize the funeral committee in Nyeri led by the Moderator of Nyeri Presbytery Rev. Michael Inoti and the family liaison Mr. Samuel Mwaria. Your commitment and support ensured a dignified send off for the Very Reverend and we thank you. Our sincere gratitude goes to various county government departments for their assistance in ensuring safety and smooth travel from Nyeri to Chogoria.

We thank all the doctors and staff at various hospitals who have tended to Rev. Muindi with truly loving hearts. May the Lord bless you as you continue to serve.

With humble acceptance of the will of the Almighty God, we announce the promotion to glory of Cucu Peris Wambui Macharia that occurred on 29th June 2017.

Wife of the late Peter Macharia Gatauri. Daughter of the late Jonah Gitiiya Gathigi and the late Wanjiku Gitiiya. Mother of the late Rahab Wairimu Chacha, Samuel Gitiiya Macharia (of Kinangop Dairy Ltd), Francis Gatauri (formerly of KCC), John Chege, Mary Wanjiku, Margaret Njeri Njoroge (teacher at Githambia Pri school), Virginia Waithera Kihiko and James Gathigi. Co-wife of Lydia Wambui Macharia and step mother of late Joseph Gachoka.

She was blessed to live with us for 92 years, blessed with children, many grand children and great grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are meeting for prayers at her home at Kagaita-Kangare, Murang’a County, at her son Samuel Gitiiya Macharia residence at Lower Sportsview-Kasarani and Tumaini House, (opposite Kencom) Moi Avenue, Nairobi town centre.

The cortege shall leave AIC Githumu mortuary at 9.00am and thereafter proceed to her home at Kagaita, Kangare where the burial mass led by AIPCEA, Kangare church, shall take place from 11.00am on Friday date 07.07.2017.

The Almighty God gave us Peris Wambui and so May He Rest her in Eternal peace. Amen.

It is with thanksgiving and humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the death of Pastor Jonathan Mutua Mutuku of Bride Revelation Center Kambu, which occurred on 27 June 2017 at K.N.H private wing, after a battle with cancer.

Pastor Jonathan Mutuku is the husband to Mrs. Beatrice Ndumba Mutuku, Son of Late Rev. Mutuku Kitoo and Mrs Loice Mutuku Kitoo. Brother to Joseph, Beatrice, Hellen, Benson, Obadiah, Ruth and Stephen. Father to Joshua Kyalo, Elijah Mutuku, Jonah Mbuvi, Loice Kaveni, Elizabeth Kavenge, Caleb Muendo, Francis VVambua, Petterson Kitoo and Eunice Mbithe (Kelitu keu). Father in love to, Teresa Barrera, Ann Katurribi, Mark Mwanthi, Charles Ndolo, Regina Kachakwale, Cynthia Syowia, and. Daniel Hiati Grandfather to Isabella, Havian, Betty, Precious, Emmanuel, Ethan, Stephen, Nathan, Jonathan and Mary.

Friends and relatives are meeting at Ashkir Restaurant opp Jevanjee at 5.30pm everyday for funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral home on 07 July 2017 at 9am followed by church service at Bride Revelation Church Kambu at 2pm. He will be laid to rest on 08 July 2017 at His home in Kambu from 10am.

The celebration of life mass will be held at the Sacred heart Cathedral at 10am on Thursday, the 6th of July. Followed by the cremation at the Hindu crematorium.

The cortege leaves Kibwezi Funeral Home on 6th July 2017 at 10 am to Kirika Kinyambu. Prayers will be held at ACK St. Mary’s Kinyambu and laid to rest in her farm at Kinyambu in Kibwezi.

The cortege leaves Kyeni Mission Hospital Mortuary on Friday, 7th July 2017 at 8:00am for funeral service and burial at his home at Muthatari, Embu.

Son of the late Samwel Ragwa and the late Ciangurwe Ragwa. Husband of the late Elizabeth Ciancege and Felister Ciakuthii. Brother of the late Gitaari, Mutegi, Kangangi, Ciankoroi, Japhet, the late Kellen and the late Kabunge. Father of Kaari and Gitari, the late Kagendo, Ned, Micheni and Acquelina, Gatune,Wanja and the late Mwiti, Nkonge and Karungari, Kageni and Muriithi, and Kangai. Grandfather and great grandfather of many. Uncle of Gatakaa, Kithinji and many others.

Friends and relatives are meeting today Wednesday 5th July 2017 at St. Andrews Church and at his Kiamuriuki home daily.The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home at 6 a.m on Friday 7th July 2017 for funeral service at PCEA Kiarnuriuki Church and burial thereafter at his Kiamuriuki home, Magumoni, Chuka,Tharaka Nithi County.

Patricia Wanza passed away on 30 June 2017 at the Meridien Equator Hospital Nairobi.

Daughter of the late Philip Ndolo and Ruth Syevuo. Sister of Naomi, Rael, David, Daudi, Tom and Nathan and the late Albert. Wife of the late Eliud Maweu Mutiso and Co-wife of Agnes Mwikali. Mother of Maimuna Mueni, Ramadhan Sila, Nasra (Winnie), the late Mathew Mutiso and Colin Maweu and Step-mother of Nzivo, Mutiso and Mbesa. Mother-in-law of Ramadhani Itambo and Madina Kipchumba and Grandmother of Abdi Ziri, Ahmad Kilui, Tunu Kache, Hussein Sila, Amina Wanza, Asad Ndolo and Evan Nzola. Great-grandmother of Ramadhani, Maimuna, Maweu and Yasmin.

Meetings are being held at Outering Rd Est. and at the Holy Family Basilica. There will be a major fundraising on Thursday 6 July 2017 from 6.00 pm at the Holy Family Basilica to meet hospital bills. There will be a Mass at Outering Rd Est. on Friday, 7 July 017 and the Funeral will be on Saturday 8th July 2017 in Nduluni, Makindu.

Daughter of the late Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Eunice Wangui Kiteng’e. Mother to Jonathan Kariara, Sheila Mwalili and Jolinda Wangui & Eric Genga. Grandmother to Brigitte Muthoni, Naima Naisiae Kuntai and also of Wamunga, Milo, Vincent, Sean, Sam, Ryan, Molly, Lily Brigid, Alden and Amy. Sister to the late Muhoya & Veronica, Hunja & Rose, the late Ndambuki & Florence and Muthoni & Thorkild. Cousin to the Kiteng’es, the Kamandas, the Gatungos, the Wang’ombes, the Kihoris, Njanjas, Mutambukis, Lutis, Mutias and Ngaves amongst others. Auntie to Dr. Hunja, Wangui, Kaloki, Eva, Catherine Dan,Vincent,Tom, Loise, jacqueline,Tom, Kelvin, Kevin among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her residence in Kitui Town, Parkside Villa, Kiwi and Charter Hall, Nairobi from 5 pm. The burial will be held on 7th July 2017 at her Kitui residence opposite Kitui High School and adjacent to the Kitui Teachers Training College.

Brigitte, your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts and you will be greatly missed by everyone.
