It’s the first anniversary since you left us! We are trying to make it through, though this day reminds us of all the things we miss about you.

We miss your face smiling down at us, With love shining from your eyes. We miss the way you’d laugh at our jokes so hard that it made you cry.

And so we sit here once again remembering these things we greatly miss. A special mother, grandma, and great grandma someone we love and can’t replace never selfish and always kind. These are the memories, you left behind.

Sadly missed by all of us. Till we meet again…..

Appreciation

We the family of the late Nancy Nyambura Kiragu, who passed away on the 2nd of November, 2017 in the USA, wish to express our deep appreciation for the messages of condolences, material support and outpouring grief during the period of funeral arrangements.

Special note is made to Brian Kiragu and Kihiu Kiragu together with their friends in the USA for keeping vigil at the hospital during her last few days. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to all those friends in the diaspora who took time off their busy schedules to sit by her bedside and attend to her in the hour of need and who also donated generously to meet a significant part of the funeral expenses.

It is worth mentioning the Australian connections who greatly supported Mugure Kiragu and the family during this period.

Special compliments go to the local funeral organizing committee ably led by Professor J.H. Kimura. The sense of leadership displayed by Tony Mwangi, Julius Macharia, Judge Lee Muthoga, Eng. Daniel Njora, Mrs. Charity Muthoga and Bilha Maina amongst others could not be taken for granted.

Much appreciation goes to the Reverend Geoffrey Njenga of ACK — All Saints Cathedral for agreeing to grace the occasion at a short notice.

Many well wishers donated both material, time and prayers. As it is not possible to mention all of you by name or group, please accept our sincere gratitude for your immense support.

May Nancy lie in her eternal bliss.
