It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Daniel M. Saruni Tome., of Narok County Government which occurred on 17th December 2017 in Nairobi Hospital, Mr.Tome was the Chairman of the Kenya County Government Workers Union (KCGWU) Narok Branch, the Assistant General Secretary of KCGWU and a member of the Board of Trustees of Laptrust – representing County Government Workers.

Beloved son of the late Senior Chief Thomas Merenka Tome and the late Leken Naikedoene Tome, Brother of the late Samuel Teewuo Tome, the late Sakui Tome, Julius Tome – of AMREF Health Africa, the late Ngonya Kisolei, and Noolkipali Masanga. Step-brother to: Nkimeme, Wilson, Maina, Lekishu, Christine and Margaret and uncle to: Kennedy, Shirley, Michelle, Wesley, Edward among others. Husband of Rhoda Seenoi Kisolei and Jane Namunyak Kipas. Father of Saitoti, Priscilla, Nicholas, Desmond, Mark, Wycliffe, Damacline, Diana,Tom, Emily, Edwin, Evale, Victor, NasPrian and Meshack 1 i Grandfather of Maloi, Dan Junior, Lekakeny, Ashley and Alex. Son-in-law of Mr and Mrs. Joseph Magarr Kisolei and Mr. and Mrs. Kipas.

The cortege left Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday 20th December 2017 at 9:00 am for burial on Thursday 21st December 2017 in Moita Location, Transmara-West Sub-County in Narok County in

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our dad Richard Kazungu Konde, Director of Sharlykon ltd and a former employee of S.O Johnson & Son (K) Ltd on which occurred on 18th December 2017 after a short illness.

He was a loving husband to Elinah Shall Konde and beloved father to Eunice Konde, Eric Tuva Konde, Elizabeth Konde, George Mathole Konde, Nathaniel Konde, Grace Konde, Frida Konde and Judy Konde. He was the son of the late Mr and Mrs Kazungu Konde. Father in law to Kennedy, Baya, Melly, Mercy and grandfather to Happy, Rose, Victor, John, Samson, Anaya and Armstrong.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Greenfields Estate and at Antonio’s Grill CBD on Thursday 21st and 22nd December at 5.00pm.

He will be laid to rest on the 30th December 2017 in his Madamani home Kilifi county.

We wish to sadly announce the passing on of Martin Manyara `Manya’ Muthuuri on Sunday 17th December 2017.

Husband of Njoki Muthuuri and father of Micheni, Mungai and Njunge. Son of the late Jacob and Florence Muthuuri and brother of Dennis and Njambi, Mercy and Andrew. Son-in-law of Mr and Mrs Njunge Mungai and brother-in-law of Mungai and Wangeci, Kinyanjui and Christine.

The memorial service will be held on Friday 22nd December 2017 at St. Austin’s Catholic Church off James Gichuru Road from 9:30 am.

Meetings will be held on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st December 2017 at St. Andrew’s Church, Nairobi from 5.30 pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Saturday 23rd December 2017 at 6:30 am for burial the same day at the farm in Kariene Village shortly after the Equator along Nkubu Meru road.

Step mother of Onsongo, Onchong’a, Joel and Otenyo. Sister of Ogachi, Rael, Moraa, Pacifica among others. Mother-in-law of Beatrice, Elizabeth of KNH, Jackline, Janet, Mercy, the late Momanyi, the late Oigara and Kaburi. Grandmother of Dominic, Vincent, Moraa, Morara (U.S.A), Obure (U.S.A), Polycap, Humphrey, Charity, Victor, Bosire, Alex, David Oyaro, George Nyaora, Dorcas Bisieri, Faith among others.

We, the family of the late Elder Mrs. Leah Wandia Mburu and the entire Mburu, Njoroge clan and Maranga extended families give thanks to our Heavenly Father for our daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend and colleague; for the memorable time that He gave us to live with her. We are deeply grateful to all who have stood by us and continue to stand with us during this time of need. Thank you for your selflessness, overwhelming generosity and comforting messages.

Special mention is made of the Milimani South Presbytery, the Elders of PCEA Karen Parish and the Woman’s Guild of both PCEA Kuwinda church and Karen Parish for leading the daily evening prayers and steering the memorial and celebration of life services. We thank the clergy and leadership of various denominations that joined us during the evening prayers, memorial and celebration of life services.

We thank the organising committee, subcommittees, all family members and friends who worked tirelessly alongside us. To all the well-wishers who contributed generously, accept our deepest and sincere thanks. We thank the doctors of Karen Hospital who cared for mum on her last day. We also extend our gratitude to the doctors who have cared for mum across the years since her stroke. We thank Lee Funeral Home for their efficient support as we prepared to lay her to rest.

To all who have shown solidarity with us, please accept our deepest and most sincere appreciation for your prayers, time, messages, visits, calls, tributes and condolences.

Until his demise, Lang’at worked with the Youth Enterprise Development Fund at the Headquarters in Nairobi. Son of the late Joel Kiplang’at Chepkwony and Christina Chepkwony. Loving husband of Betty Cherotich. Doting father of Sonia Cherop and uncle of many. Brother of Lucia, Linus, Ivyne, Chepkorir, Cheptoo, Chepkemoi, Late Kipng’eno and Cheruiyot; David, Loice, Andrew, Simon, Late Linah, Selina, Neddy, Joyce, Benard, Shirine, Millicent and Chelangat. Son-in-law of Thomas Korir and Ruth Korir. Brother-in-law of Fridah, Nelly, Noah, Jordan, Chemu and Felix.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at his home in Sosit (Kericho), and Garden Square Hotel (Nairobi) for prayers and Funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves MP Shah Hospital Mortuary on Friday 22nd December 2017 at 9.00am for a requiem mass to be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Chapel, University Way.

The cortege will then leave for burial that will take place on Saturday 23rd December 2017 at his home in Kimugul Village, Kapkatet Location, Bureti Subcounty, Kericho County.

Wife of Hon. Bernard Kathanga, Former MP Gichugu Constituency. Daughter of the late Petro Gakeu and the late Susana Kanini Gakeu of Kirinyaga County. Sister of Alphan Kibara, Nancy Muthoni Kiunga (Meru), Bernard Mithamo, the late Lydia Wanjiku and the late Makanga Peter. Dorcas is survived by her co-wife Joyce Wanjiru Kathanga and their children are Rose Wanjiku (USA), Madrin Mburu, Rose Ocholla, the late Eric Kathanga, James Kathanga, Eng. Fredrick Kathanga (MOTIHUD) Peter Kathanga (KCB), John Kathanga, Christine Clayman (USA), Margaret Kathanga (Britam) and Fridah Kimani (WCO). Mother-in-law of James Mburu, Charles Ocholla, Esther Ngungi, Michael Clayman among others. Grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily at Gatunguru family home and at the ACK Kaitheri  Church-Kerugoya. Separate meetings will be taking place at the All Saints Cathedral-Nairobi daily  starting at 5.30pm.

The cortege will leave Kibugu Funeral Home – Kutus on 29 December 2017 at 9.00 am for a funeral  service at Gatunguru Secondary School grounds followed by burial at the family home.

Son of the late Benjamin lsayi Lukoye and late Ruth Lisoko Isayi. Father of Jackson Manyonyi, Inviolata Atamba, Dorothy Chimoli, Nancy Khayechia, Kennedy Madaraka, Boniface Shikomele, Oscar Linzen, Rose Khayi, Elizabeth Muchiti, Edith Manyonyi, Nancy Maraka, Silvia Khadushi, Purity Luseka and Stanley Isayi. Brother of Milkalgonyi Isaya, the late Josiah lsayi, Dorah Musavi and Bench Isayi. Father-in-law of Betty Lisili, Milka Wambui Shikomele and Joyce Shivoko. Uncle of Joyce, Florence, Kilwa, Joseline among others. Leaves behind 28 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Kakamega County General Hospital Mortuary at 10:00 am on Thursday 21st December 2017.

Until her death, Alice Watahi was working at KEMRI Headquarters in Nairobi.

Wife of Harrison Njuguna Ngure of Daystar University and loving mother of Maryann Wangui of St, Paul University, Joy Waithiegeni of Bishop Mazzollei Secondary School and Joshua Ngure of Whitestar Academy. Daughter of the late Watahi Mbogo and the late Mrs. Eunice Nyaruai of Muthengera. Sister of Wanjiru, Grace, Wangu, Mwangi (Banking Fraud), the late Wanja and James Kariki. She was the step-sister of Patrick Watahi (DCI headquarters). Daughter in-law of the late Eustace Ngure Waweru and the Late Rosemary Wangui. She was a sister in law of Waweru, Njeri, Wambui Kariuki, Irungu, Kahuyu Muchiri and Wakiyu and an aunt of many.

Family and friends are meeting at Eureka Highrise Hotel 5th floor behind Ambassador Hotel from 6.00 pm and at their family home in Upper Matasia Estate, Nairobi. The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday, 22nd December 2017 at 8.00 am.

Funeral and memorial service will be held at Kiyu village, Mugoiri Division, Kahuro Sub-County, Murang’a  County.
