George hailed from Iganjo sub-location, Kamahuha Location, Makuyu division, Murang’a County, and was a resident of Loresho South in Westlands, Nairobi County. He worked for Kenya Post and Telecommunications and Iganjo Textiles Ltd, River Road.

He was the beloved husband of the late Lucy Nyokabi Karanja.

He was the son of the late Mwangi wa Githete and the late Wamuhu wa Mwangi, step-son of Waithira Mwangi and Njeri Mwangi.

Son-in-law of the late Njuguna Kihogo and the late Victoria Gichira of Makwa Village.

Brother of the late Joseph Kanyutu, late Jane and Cecilia, late Teresa Wanjiku and the late Daniel, late John Gichuru and Michelina, the late Charles Githina and Sabina, and the late Oscar Mungai and Nancy. Step brother of late Karanja Musumeno, Wanjiku Corporaf,Wairirnu, Gichuru,Wathira and Joseph.

He was a devoted father of Susan Karanja and Brig. Bernard Oluoch (KAF), Bernard Njuguna and Teresa Murugi,Victoria Muthusi, Teresa Wanjiku and Elizabeth Ngonyo. He was a grandfather of Njeri, Kate, Kezy, Ashley, Augustine, Angeline, Karen, Robert, Eric, and Michael, and a great-grandfather of Seleiyan.

Daily meetings are at his home in Loresho South, Nairobi and Iganjo home, Muranga County from 5:00 pm.

The cortege leaves K.U. Funeral home, on Thika Road on Friday, 20th June 2025, at 8:30 am, for St Peter’s Catholic Church, Igikiro, Kamahuha Location. Mass will begin at 11:30 am, and thereafter, burial at his home at Igikiro.

He was the beloved husband of Teresia Lekipaika, cherished father of Daphine Lekipaika, Mathias Lekipaika, Santamo Lekipaika and Lerionka Lekipaika.

He was the son of the late Kisiito Lekipaika and the late Kiremishoi Lekipaika, brother of Nailetiai Lentirwa, Namuundi Lengoitei, Koitangei Lemuli, the late Nadengele Lemoti, the late Tongoine Lemuli, Lemaatany Lekipaika, Lantan Lekipaika and Salao Lekipaika.

The late Dr. Maasai was a dedicated public servant, mentor, confidant and friend to many. He lived a full, eventful and joyous life.

She was also a proud grandmother of Stacy, Tracy, jasmine, Emmanuel, Egan, Elvin, Eldon, Mercy, Malon, Marksen, Maxwel, Marvin, Elisha, Ezra, Elsie, Dylan and Dahlia.

He was a brother of Priscilla Ntabo (late), Truphena Nyaboke, Gabriel Onchagwa (late), Abere (late),Arori (late),Akama (late), Nyamache (late), Kwamboka (late) and Lilian. Cousin of Samuel Okworo (late) and Florence Okworo, and Albert Onkundi (late) and Jane Onkundi (late), among others.

At the time of his demise, Hon. Raini was married to Mrs Priscilla Bisieri, and they were blessed with 6 children: Winnie Raini Momanyi, Stella Raini, Lillian Raini Hilkene, Emily Raini Miramond, Jim Eric Ongiri Raini, and Dr. Hilda (Nana) Raini-Igbokidi.

He was a doting grandfather of Jake, Jessica, Philemon, Madison, Savannah, Jim Junior, William, Golda, Eli, and Josephine.

Through this union, Hon. Raini was the son-in-law of Joseph Momanyi Nyambeki (late) and Eucabeth Buyaki Momanyi (late), and Benson Kaburi. Mzee Mugambi was the loving husband of the late Rosemary Njoki Kamau.

Emmanuel was the beloved son of Dr.Teresia Mutavi, lecturer at the University of Nairobi and Mr. Wilson Kenei.

He was the cherished grandson of Emmanuel Mutavi Katoni and Cecilia Mutavi of Muthetheni Location, and a loving nephew of Hillary,Timothy, and Eliud.

He was also a treasured grandson of the Katoni’s, Kimanthi’s and Nzioka’s families.

Emmanuel was a student at Strathmore University, pursuing a Bachelor of Informatics and Computer Science (BISC) at the School of Computing and Engineering Sciences.

it is with deep sorrow and loving acceptance that we announce the passing on of Peter Bhatia Labu Kamalingin, who until his death was the UNAIDS Country Director, South Sudan. Prior to joining UNAIDS in July 2024, Peter, who all his life strived to transform people’s lives and make the world a better place, worked with ActionAid International and Oxfam as the Director, Global Political & Program Strategy and as the Pan Africa Director respectively.

He was son of the late Stanley Salimo Kamalingin (Retired Judge) and Margaret Kamalingin.

Peter is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Chebet, son Daniel Salimo of Griffith University, Australia, daughter Sarah Cheruto and son Isaac Rotich both of Braeside School, Nairobi and daughter Rachael Cheruto. He was a foster father of Joan of JKUAT School of Law.

There will be two concurrent Memorial Services on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 2pm, one at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, the other one at the All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero, Uganda.

A fundraiser will follow the Nairobi memorial at 5pm at the same venue.

There is a planned funds drive on Monday 16th June 2025 at Nairobi Central SDA Church, Jakaya Kikwete Road from 4:30 PM. All are Welcome!

There will be a celebration service at Nairobi Central SDA Church on 18th June 2025.

The cortege will then leave Umash Funeral home on Thursday 19th June 2025 at 7.00 am. A final celebration service will be held at Kojwach Primary School grounds on 20th June 2025 followed by interment at his home in Kokwanyo East, Kolak Village.
