M’Thiringi Baithiabi

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we, the family of Eliyah Thiringi Baithabi, announce the passing on of our beloved Patriarch Mzee M’Thiringi Baithiabi who rested on 14th September 2025.

He was son of the late Baithiabi Chulu and the late Cialaichena Baithiabi, he is survived by his wife Zipporah Nyeera.

He was father of Sarah Nkonge, Elizabeth Gichaara, Charles Thiringi, Ezekiah Muthinja, Jacob Mungathia, Ester Karimi, Mark Gitonga Thiringi, Daniel Mwirabua, Mary Karinguri, Victor Thiringi, Kaloo Moris, Joel Mithika,Vivian Mwongela, Ruth Gaceri, Benjamin Mwiti. He is survived by 37 grandchildren and 18 great grand children.

The cortege leaves Cool Breeze Funeral Home Meru on 27th September 2025 at 10.00 AM for a funeral service at MCK Kitheo followed by burial at his home Kitheo Village.

Amos Otieno Ahenda

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Amos Otieno Ahenda, which occurred on Friday, 19th September 2025.
Amos was born on 31st October 1975 and hailed from Umala Village, East Alego, Siaya County.

He was the beloved husband of Margaret Wanjiru Nguhi, devoted father of Liron Constantine Otieno, and cherished son of the late Walter Ahenda Otiato and Prisca Ahenda.

He was also a son-in-law of Mama Peninah Nguhi.

Amos was a brother of Ben Ahenda, Erick Ahenda, Chris Ahenda, Joshua Ahenda, the late Samuel Ahenda, and the late Rose Ahenda.

He was an uncle of Bevies, Jill, Mike, Griffins, the late Achieng’ Onyango, and Eng. Isaiah Ahenda, and a brother-in-law of Stephen Chege, Ann Nduta, Rebecca Njeri, Elizabeth Wairirnu, Milcah Mumbi, Daniel Kamuri, Ruth Onyango and MarystellaAwinja.

He was a nephew of Levis Ahenda.

A cousin of Edwin, Aggrey, Francis, Jim, among others, and a friend to all who knew him.

A requiem service in honor of Amos will be held on Saturday, 27th September 2025, at 11:00 aim at the Montezuma Funeral Home Chapel, Mbagathi Way, Nairobi.

The cortege will depart from Montezuma on Sunday, 28th September 2025, at 8:00 a.m. for his rural home in Umala Village, Siaya County. The burial service will take place there on Monday, 29th September 2025

 

Dr. Lusike A. Wasilwa

June 21, 1963 – September 20, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Lusike A. Wasilwa, who served as Director Crop Systems at the Kenya Agricultural & Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), Headquarters, Nairobi.

She was the beloved daughter of Engineer Festus Wasilwa and the late Damaris Kinavadoli Wasilw of Brigadier. Tongaren, Bungoma County. Cherished sister of the late Dr. Harrison Wanjala, Ms. Jane Mutuha, Mr. Victor Simiyu, and Ms Mary Simiyu.

A loving aunt of Dr. Timina Wasilwa, Josslyn Khalayi, Rebecca Namweyi Wasilwa, Sydney Wasilwa, Haile Van Zyl, Ann Mariga Bonareri, Gloria Mariga Bonareri, amongst others.

Interment will be at her home on Friday 3rdOctober 2025 with requiem Mass at 1.00pm.

Sarah Kiambi

The family of Sarah Kiambi is saddened to announce her passing on 7th September 2025 after a long illness. Sarah was a beloved matriarch, a pillar of her family and a true friend to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith and generosity.

She was the wife of the late Josphat Kiambi.

She is the daughter of John Mwirigi and Martha Njeri.

Sarah is survived by her children, Eileen Karanja, Ivy Kiambi and Isabel Omolo. Mother in-law of Karanja Gichane Michael Kinyanjui and Naftali Omolo.

Her grandchildren are Ian, Olivia, Timmy, Danny, Janine, Zawadi, Tovi Kenzo.

Sister of the late VVamucii Kamau, the late Mary Wanjiru Kiunyu, Gatarua, the late Zipporah, the late Keziah, Kuria, and Alice Wairimu. She was also a cherished stepsister of Gatarua, Waigera, Wangari, Wamucii, Nieri, and the late Kimani, Mwaura, Milka, among others.

The cortege will depart from Kenyatta University Funeral home (Thika Road) on Friday 26th September 2025 at 9.00 am. Funeral service and burial will take place at Bondeni Upper Matasia Ngong at 11.00am.
