It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of baby Khourtney Nyaboke Omariba, which occurred on Thursday 11th September 2025 while undergoing treatment at KUTRRH.

The late Khourtney was the beloved daughter of Colvin Omariba Mokaya and Olivent Anyango Adikah. Sister of Arvyannah Mirabel Omariba.

She was a cherished grandchild of Gideon Mokaya Kibagendi & Mellen Mokaya, and George Onditi & Dorcas Odhiambo, Zytoon, Evans Kibagendi, Dorcas Kibagendi, Dixion Kibagendi, Bwari, Monyangi, Naftal, John, James, Nyakundi, Monica, Lilian and others.

She was a loving daughter of her uncles and aunts: Benard, Rose,Walter, Osoro, Gichana, Jared, Hon. Kibagendi, Caroline, Brian, Eddy, Gladys (USA), George, Orwasa (Qatar), Violet, Rebecca, Emily, Hellen, Moraa, Ednah, Vincent, Brian, Camelous, Nick, Jabez, Nelly and others.
Cousin of Hellen, Leila, Brian, Dalmas, Kenfrey, Lewis, Euphinia, Everline (USA), Naomi, and others.

The main fundraiser will be held on Tuesday 23rd September 2025 at the Professional Centre from 5.00pm.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at their home in Mwihoko Muthirithia.

The cortege leaves Nairobi, KUTRRH Funeral Home on Thursday 25th September 2025 for the burial on Friday 26th September 2025 at Mwanyakundi Village in Rioma Sub-location, Kisii County.

Nina Kawira Senanu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the unexpected death of Nina Kawira Senanu that occurred on 14th September 2025.

She was the daughter of the late Wilfred Muthuuri [TSC) and the late Joyce M. Muthuuri [Kenya Polytechnic) and daughter in love of the late Prof. Kwadzo Ebli Senanu and Ivy Christine Senanu.

She was loving wife of Kris Senanu, Loving mother of Kazaina Makena Senanu and Karl Mwenda Senanu.

Sister of Eva Makena Njeru, Catherine Muthuuri-Muhindi and Eric Murerwa Muthuuri. Sister-in-law James Njeru Kaburu, the late Patrick Muhindi, Doreen Koome, Honorable (HON) Edem Senanu and Monica Senanu, Dzidzienyo Senanu, Dr. Dela Adzosii and Mrs. Karis Senanu Adzosii.

Rufus Buku Gikonyo

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the tragic loss of our colleague and fr lend, Rufus Buku Gikonyo, who went to be with the Lord on Sunday, 14th September, 2025, through a tragic road accident.

Rufus was the beloved son of the late John Gikonyo Buku and Emmah Waigwe.

He was a devoted husband of Beatrice Njeri Irungu and a loving father of Kyron Gikonyo Buku and Nilan lrungu Buku.

He was also a brother of Joyce Nyanibura and Kelly Muthoni Gikonyo.

Rufus was a valued and beloved staff member of the Christian Health Association of Kenya family {CHAK), where he served as a logistics officer.

The cortege will leave Kangema Level 4 Mortuary and proceed for the funeral service at their home in Mathioya Sub-county, Muranga County on Saturday 20th September, 2025.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew him. May his memory be a blessing.

K was the beloved son of the late Peter Orinde, the late Dorice, the late Theresa, Phoebe. and the late Josephine Orinde.

He was a cherished brother of Molly, Steve Orinde, Millicent, the late Joan Atieno, the late Joan Akinyi, the late Everline, Bitek, Eva, Frank, Polycarp, Steve Biko,Victor, Pope, Vera, and Hillary.

K was a treasured uncle, cousin, and nephew of many, and a beloved brother-in-law of Fridah, Isabella, Karanja, Brenda, Wanda, Ann, Roselyne and Paul.

Family and friends are gathering daily at the family home in Kokoth, West Karachuonyo, to offer their condolences and celebrate his life.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Mrs. Margaret Atieno Opondo, which occurred on 21st August 2025 at Siaya District and Referral Hospital.

Margaret was the daughter of the late Raphael Ng’ong’a Omitha and Domitilla Ng’ong’a of Matera, Alego, Siaya.

She was the beloved wife of Mr. James Opondo Odero. A loving mother of Lilian (Zena), Alfred, Mercy, Tonny, Vincent, and Tom.

Sister of Peter, Mathews, Edna, Thomas, Josephine, Roselynn, Wilson, Eunice, Bernard, the late Gertrude, Judith, and the late Everlyne.

She was a loving grandmother of Shantelle, Channey, KJ, Hymie, Zuri, Nailah, Misher, GG, Erick, jaimie, Shirinelle, Arriana, the late Alma, Megan, Amalia, and Joriel.

She was a cherished daughter-in-law of the late Paul Pius Odero and Mama Anna Odero.

Beloved mother-in-law of Paul, Christine and Miriam. Sister-in-law of Rose, Patrick, Stephen, Erick, Grace, Elizabeth, Maureen, Ruth, and Charity.

She was a cousin of Rosemary, Josephine, Elizabeth, Leertylline among others.

Justus Omondi Oulo

The Chairperson, Board of Directors, Director General and members of staff, Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), regret to announce the passing on of Justus Omondi Oulo, an ICT Officer, on Monday, 8th September 2025, 12:00 noon at Nairobi West Hospital after bravely battling illness.

He was the son of the late Joseph Oulo Onyango and Priscah Eudia Oulo. Son-in-law of the late John Jura Hallowe Odhiambo and Helidah Okwako Hallowe.

Brother of Eunice Wendo, the late Stephen Subi, Ismael Owiti, Karen Sande, the late Nancy Akoth, Lilian Akinyi, Francis Otieno, Belly Adhiambo Ndeda.

Husband of the late Margaret Adhiambo and Mourine Akinyi Otio. Father of Fred, Frank, Faith, Nicole, and Sharon.

He was a loving father, brother, uncle, friend, and a man of great wisdom whose kindness and strength touched many lives. His passing on leaves a deep void in our hearts, but we take comfort in knowing he is now at peace and free from pain.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in KEMRI opposite Riara University for prayers and funeral preparations. We welcome all relatives, friends, and well-wishers to join us in giving him a dignified farewell and celebrating the gift of his life.

Prayers will be held at St. Luke’s ACK Church, Kenyatta Market, Nairobi on Tuesday 23rd September 2025 at 2:00 p.m.

The Cortege departs from Nairobi on Wednesday, 24th September 2025, followed by prayers at St. Peter’s Ramba Church, Rarieda onstituency, Siaya County on 24th September 2025. The burial will be at his Ramba home on Thursday, 25th September 2025.

It is with great sorrow, yet with acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing on of Mrs. Peninah Wanjiku Kinyara (Mwalimu) of Marenga Road, Kangemi / Mukoma Road, Karen, who rested in the Lord after a long and blessed life.

Beloved wife of the late Mr. Henry Kinyara Kinyua. Mother of the late Rosemary Nyamwitha Mwangi and the late Pastor Moses Mwangi Maina; the late George Kinyua and Wendy Wanja; Gladys Njeri and (Hon.) Geoffrey King’ang’i; Catherine Wanjiru and Paul Kung’u Kimani; Eric and Lucy Wathoni Ngwiri; and Alex and Elizabeth Muthoni Karanja.

She was a loving grandmother of Peninah Wanjiku Kinyua, Henry Kinyara Kinyua, Hellen Muthoni, Rosemary Nyamwitha, Andrew Maina, Dr. Lorna Wamuyu, Andrew Mugane, Wendo Kibugi, Henry Wainaina, Kimani & Wairimu Kung’u, Emma Wambui Ngwiri, Peninah Wanjiku Ngwiri, Henry Kinyara Ngwiri, Jonney Ngwiri, Eli and Zoe Karanja.

She was sister of Margaret Nduta Ngwiri and was preceded in death by her siblings Nelly Waithera, Obadiah Thiong’o, Milkah Ndeki, Simon Njoroge, Andrew Thande, and Anthony Niihia.

She leaves behind 10 great grandchildren.

She was sister-in-law of Simon Gakuru and Mary Wanjiru, the late: Evanson Karanja, Brown Muturi, and Paul Thiongo.

She will be dearly missed and remembered for her unwavering faith, generosity, and service to the community.

Family and friends are meeting daily at 4:00 p.m. at her home off Mukoma Road, Karen, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

Ishmael Ole Montet (Boi)

It is with deep sorrow, yet with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing of our beloved Ishmael Ole Montet (Boi) on Tuesday, 16th September 2025.

Born on 2nd April 1970 in Kibiko A, Kajiado West, Kajiado County, Ishmael was the son of the late George Ole Montet and the late Ann Nduku Montet

He was the loving father of Ann Nduku Montet of Newfoundland, Canada.

He was a cherished brother of Linah Muchangi; Legishon Montet Anthony July Montet; Senator Betty Montet; Christabel Nashilu Osiya; and Mama Naserian Montet.

Brother-in-law of the late Captain (Rtd) Erastus Muriuki; Mrs. Susan Montet; the late.col (Rtd) fames Gitahl;Mr.Arthur Osiya (EBS), PAS, Executive Office of the President; and the late Cat (Rtd) Jeremiah Chepkairor Shollei. He was also an uncle of many and nephew to the Montet’s among others.

The cortege will leave Lee-funeral Home on Tuesday, 23rd September 2025 at 8:00 a.m. for a funeral service at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Kibiko, Ngong at 11:00 a.m , followed by burial at his family home in Kibiko A, Kajiado County.

Funeral arrangements and Prayers are being held at the family home in Kibiko daily from 4:00 p.m.

Joseph Owuor Korwa

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph Owuor Korwa of Misiwi Sub-Location, East Karungu Location, Nyatike West Sub-County.

He was a devoted husband of the late Veronica Owuor and of Elsa Akoth Owuor, and a cherished father of Dr. Yvonne (USA), Fiona, Imelda, Fidel, Lucy, and Jeff.

Son of the late Ibrahim Orwa and the late Consolata Orwa. Joseph is survived by his siblings Rev. Dalmas, Dick, Khillence, and Miriam. He was predeceased by his siblings Peter, Margaret, Monica, and Dorothy.

His body will leave St. Camillus Mission Hospital Mortuary on 18th September 2025 and he will be id to rest on 19th September 2025 at his home in Aringo Village.
