Mino Francis Vaccari, IMC, on August 30, 2025, at Consolata Fathers Regional House, Westlands — Nairobi. He was 95 years old, having faithfully lived 71 years of Religious Profession and 66 years of Priesthood.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the Consolata Shrine Auditorium, Nairobi.

On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, the body will leave MP Shah Hospital for a second Requiem Mass at Rumuruti Parish at 11:00 a.m., followed by an overnight vigil.

The Funeral Mass and burial will take place on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Consolata Cemetery, Mathari — Nyeri, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Fr.Vaccari will be fondly remembered for his tireless pastoral service in Rumuruti, where he became a steadfast advocate for the poor and families displaced by ethnic violence and land conflicts, offering relief, accompaniment, and a prophetic voice of hope. Until his health declined, he lived and ministered at Rumuruti Parish, later residing at the Consolata Fathers Regional House.

Throughout his priestly ministry, he served in various capacities, including: Kicangunyi Parish, Education Secretary at Thomson’s Falls, Parish Priest, Tetu, Diocesan Administrator of Nyeri, Regional Superior, Kenya—Uganda Region, and Local Superior and pastoral work, Rumuruti Parish.

May the Lord grant him eternal rest and reward him for his faithful service to the Church and the people of God.

The memorial service was held at Newlife SDA Church, Nairobi, on 27th August.

It is with deep sorrow and loving acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Hon. Mathew Lekidime Lempurkel, MP, who passed on 24th August 2025 following a tragic road accident. Hon. Lempurkel was The Former Member of Parliament for Laikipia North 2013-2017 (ODM).

Throughout his life Hon. Lempurkel strived to tranform people’s lives as a fearless and unapologetic defender and champion of his people and their land rights and pastoral way of life.

He was the beloved son of the late Nameeya Lempurkel and Nailepu Lempurkel.

Lempurkel was the devoted husband of Judith Naitoti Lempurkel, and a loving father of Collins Lesiran Lempurkel, Whitney Naresiae Lempurkel, Ramsey Lempurkel, and Hilda Ntashaua Lempurkel.

He was a brother of Turanka, Josephine Ginayo, Mare Lempurkel and Pentagon Lempurkel. He had other stepbrothers including Lkitewan Lempurkel (father of Saiko), Peter Lempurkel, Lkitankin Lempurkel, Najomo Lempurkel, the late ken and Kilayo Lempurkel. He was a son inlaw of Mr. & Mrs Wilson Mokoyo. Brother in-law of Njeeri Lempurkel, Simon Leseketeti, Lkanini Leseri, Moses Mokoyo, Lashaki Mokoyo,Antonella Mokoyo, Franco Mokoyo, Naanyu Mokoyo and Martha Mokoyo. Lempurkel was a cousin of Price Lekerimui, Romita Lekerimui, Nashaki Lekerimui and Naanyu Lekerimui

Family and Friends are meeting daily at 5.00pm for burial preparations at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi, his home in Rongai and his farms in Lpolei (Laikipia) and Oldonyo Nyiro (Isiolo).

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the demise of our beloved Claris Abiero Ojwang’ which occurred on 23rd August 2025 while undergoing treatment at Memorial Hospital in Eldoret. Claris was the former Chairperson of Pan African Positive Women’s Coalition (PAPWC) based in Johannesburg and former Assistant Program Manager at AMPATH.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel Ojwang’ Onyango and Deborah Agolla Ojwang’.

The granddaughter of Japheth Onyango Bollo and Marcela Nyabware and Hosea Yimbo Asola and Dinnah Anyango (all deceased).

The mother of the late Martin Omondi Ojwang’, Melisa Karen Roxby and Samuel Chuma Baganda. The grandmother of Jeremiah, Miguel, Jamil Ngaira, Markel, Dotty, Mary and Diana.

She was sister of Denis Adede, the late Evaline Achieng, Olivia Anyango, Japheth Bollo, Janet Akumu, Christine Obondo, Lucy Owidi, David Otieno, Peter Oluoch, Japheth Onyango.

She was sister-in-law of Linda, Anne, Robert, Suleiman, Diana, Patricia and Ivyian.

Moses was a beloved brother to the late Diana Wangui, Mary Wairimu, the late John Karanja JP, the late Beatrice Ruhiu, and the late Alex Kangethe.
