24th November 1937 – 22nd September 2024

A year ago, the Lord called you home. In our hearts you remain the most amazing mother and grandmother, sister and aunt, friend and confidant. We thank God for you and for the life you lived among us. You were a source of strength for so many and to this day we feel your encouragement, your unwavering support and love in all that we do.

To our dear relatives and friends, whether you kept us in your thoughts, or remembered us in your prayers, sent a word of comfort, visited with us, made a memorial donation, or helped us in anyway, please know that your love and kindness brought us great comfort and will always be remembered.

FIRST ANNIVERSARY

Today, October 1st, 2025, marks one year since you departed to be with the Lord.

With hearts still heavy, we gather in remembrance and gratitude for the time we shared as a family.

You were a cherished husband of Veronica Ligedere, a committed father of the late Mary Wambugu, Michael, Leonard, Jane Lucy, Patrick, the late Henry, Dr. Olivia, Morgan,the late Edith, and Dennis.Your love, wisdom, and unwavering presence continue to guide us as we navigate the pain of this physical separation. You took immense pride in your family. Your 22 grandchildren and six great grandchildren fondly remember you. As a father-in-law, you embraced Caleb Wambugu, Aggrey Kikaya, Christine Anzeze, Fatima Musa, Caroline Musotsi, Stella Barasa, Doiphine Otieno, Oliver Elolo, and Calvin Jerry as your own.
We also honor the memory of your late siblings: Herman Mung’asia, Ernest Mugajibera, Elizabeth Mujidi,Alex Mukhomoli, and Andrew Galani.You were a brother-in-law to Ferdinand Lubale and the late Arnold Lubale, Perpetua Ikumiru, Darya Muteshi, Cecilia Waswala, Juliana Mulama, Regina Butoyi, and Coleta Mmbwavi.

Though one year has passed since we said our farewells, not a day goes by without thoughts of you.Your absence is deeply felt, yet your spirit endures within us—in our memories, our values, and the legacy you left behind. You lived with purpose and service, touching many lives as an educator. Through faith, wisdom, patience, and an unwavering commitment to the truth, you shaped minds and inspired others through words and your example of integrity and humility. Your faith in God was steadfast. Your unwavering faith, humility, gentle strength, and loving example continue to guide us.Though we miss you deeply, we carry your laughter, lessons, and love in our hearts, and honor you in how we live and love each other.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to all our cousins and friends, Dad’s friends, the Roman Catholic Church, Kwambulana & Mungoma Welfare, the Kakamega County Administration, and the medical teams at Eldoret Hosp. and Ampath Turbo, who supported us through this journey. Son of the late Samwel Kiprugutt Arap Tole and the late Anne Tole and Rebecca Tole.

Husband of the late Eunice Rugutt and Grace Rugutt. Father of Benard Bii, Emily Rugutt, Philip Bii, Late Weldon Bii, Irine Rotich, the late Chepkurui, Mary Chepkernol, Eng. Dennis Bii, Gilbert Bii, Hilda Mutai, Dr. Antony Bii, Alice Chepkurui, Coach Peter Bii, Eng. Joshua Bii, Beatrice Chebii and Naomi Chebet.

Brother of the late John Rono (Kiplutan), Stanley Busienei, Esther Tabelgaa Chelogoi, the late Daniel Barng’oror, Wilson 11 Rugutt, James Rugutt, Stephen Rugutt, Ruth Cheruiyot, the late Joseph Rugutt and Samwel Rugutt.

Father-in-law of Caroline Bii, Pauline Bil,Evaline Bii, Janet. Bii, Purity Bii, Eng. Deanne Bii, Beatrice Bo, the late Vincent Rotich. Dennis Mutai and Wesley Chebii. He was blessed with many grand-children and great grand-children.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home – Nakuru on Thursday, 2nd October, 2025 for short prayers at home in Kapcheplanga —Londiani – Kericho County and thereafter leave for Borop Village in Sachangwan – Nakuru County for prayers and overnight Vigil.

Funeral service and burial will be held on Friday, 3rd October, 2025 starting 10.00am at his Home in Borop Village Sachangwan -Nakuru County.

Doting grandfather of John, Philip & Ivy, Daudi, Irene, James, Daniela, Elijah, Lewis, Magana, Imani and Lengai.

Son of the late Ngyema Kivuvo and the late Beatrice Mutuku Ngyema and the late Naomi Mwiombe Ngyema. Brother of the late Joshua, the late Jones, the late King’waa Mutinda, the late Ruth Mumo, Obadiah Musyoki, Justus Mutuku, the late Peter Kimuli, and Charles Nzioka.

Son-in-law of the late George Sila Katumbi and Anna Wavinya Sila of Mango Location, Machakos County. Brother-in-law of the late Daniel Ngungu, the late Mwikali Masyuko, the late Constance Ndinda, the late David Ngumbau, Margaret Sila, Samuel Katumbi, the late Danson Kasyoka, the late Jackson Ndivo, and Mary Ndunge.

A memorial Service will be held at PCEA Loresho Community Church, on Kaumoni Close on Wednesday 8th October, 2025 at 9:00am.

The interment will be held on Thursday 9th October 2025 at 10:00am, at Syalavo Village, Kyawango Location, Machakos County.

It is with deep sorrow and in humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of Kennedy Libese Omwangale of Africa International University, who passed on at Nairobi West Hospital after a period of illness.

He was a beloved husband of Nancy Atamba, devoted father of the late Justus Babu, Andrew Isuvi, David Obeche, Melvine Ayuma, Sharon Libese, Margaret Muhonja, and Douglas Omwangale.

Son of Ellon Omwangale and Margaret Ayuma.

Brother of Damaris Awendi, Risper Kadesa, Nebat Adundo, Paul Olukwa, Moses Isuvi, Christine Khawaya, and Stephen Odiero.

The cortege leaves Nairobi West Hospital Funeral Home on October 2, 2025, for a memorial service at Africa International University’s Chapel at 11:30 a.m., followed by burial at his home in Chebilat Village, Kobujoi Ward, Aldai Sub County – Nandi County, on October 4, 2025.

Daily meetings are being held at his residence at Africa International University from 4:00 p.m. until Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Beloved wife of Mr. Kimani Kang’ethe (Chamber of Commerce, Thika) and, cherished daughter of the late Laban Kimani and Loise Mugure. She was a devoted mother of Anne Wambui, the late Rose Mugure, Jane Chege (Del monte), Susan Anampiu, and Moses Kang’ethe (USA).

A loving sister of the late Harrison Njau, the late Grace Gathuiya, the late Ayub Karanja, the late Hezekiah Macharia, the late LeonardThuo,Willie Gituto, and Mary Muigai.

Margaret was a treasured mother-in-law of Samuel Muigai, David Chege (DC, Lay Canon Thika Diocese), Eric Anampiu, and Kathy Kimani.

She was grandmother of Walter Karanja, Bilha Wakanyi, Anita Wanjiru, Kevin Anampiu, Carl Kimani, Edi-Baraka Njuguna, Agnes Anampiu, Ryan Kimani, Joana Kimani, and Cristabel Waithera; and great-grandmother of Nadley Mugure, Tashley Wachu, Dashley Muigai, Sashley Wakanyi, Elsie Wangui, Kelsie Mugure,Willis Kariungi, and Chelsie Wanjiku. She was a beloved cousin, aunt, and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the family home in Ngoingwa (near Classic Amona Arcade) for prayers and funeral arrangements. The cortege will depart from Monalisa Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati, on Friday, 3rd October 2025 at 8:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at P.C.E.A Elijah Kagiri Church, Thika, and thereafter burial at her family home in Nyaga Village, Kihumbuini Location, Gatanga Constituency.

He was the son of Daniel Kimani Munyua of Ardagh Glass and Leah Wanjiru Mugo – Kimani. He was a brother of Jackline Watiri of Bishop Gatimu Girls.

Ian was the grandson of Margaret Watiri, the late Joseph Munyua Warugu, David Mugo Theuri and the late Jane Wairimu Mugo.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers at his parents residence at Mugutha – Ruiru from 5:00pm.

The funeral service will be held at St. Benedict Catholic Parish Kiamuiru on 3rd October, 2025 and later the body will be laid to rest at his parents’ home at Githiru Village.

Eternal rest grant unto Ian 0 Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him.

Daughter of Wilson Gatharia Waithaka and Zipporah Wangari. Beloved sister of Chariton Waithaka Gatharia and jayden Kimura.

Auntie of Zipporah Njeri and Shannel Wambui and many others.

Grand daughter of the late Charles Waithaka Ndirangu and the late Phyllis Wanjiru Waithaka, Samuel Nganga Kimura and Margaret Njeri Nganga. Niece and cousin to many.

The cortege leaves KU Referral Mortuary on Friday 3rd October, 2025 at 6.00am for funeral service at PCEA Rehema Church, Bahati, Nakuru County and thereafter burial at the family home near the church.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Hellen Nyaboke Atandi which occurred on 25th September 2025 at Christamariane Hospital, Kisii. She was born in Wanjare Location, Bonyando Sub Location, Kisii.

Daughter of the late Patrick Atandi Ongeri and Maria Kvvamboka Atandi.

Wife of Chrispoh Thenya Mwangi. Mother of Georgina Kerubo Thenya, Precious Wanjiku Thenya and Maria Njeri Thenya. Grandmother of Fancy Lezina Georgina and Nicole Morgan Georgina.

Sister of the late Agnes Gechanga, Priscilla Rosana, the late Catherine Rasugu, Regina Mutende. Modestus Namodi, Salome Atandi, Rebecca Mounde, the late Ronald Atandi and Veronica Ondaba.

Daughter-in-law of Harrison Mwangi and Racheal Mwangi. Sister-in- law of Harron Thuo, Evans Ndegwa, the late Jedida Njeri, Johnson Wando,Antony lrungu and the late Kevin Thiongo.

She was a lovely lady well known for her charisma, great generosity and her zeal for preaching the good news.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Mwembe, Kisii for mass.

There will be a Requiem mass on Thursday, 2nd October 2025 at Kisii University.

The funeral will be held on Friday, 3rd October 2025 at Nakuru South Cemetery.

 

 

 

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of the James Maina Mugweru of Kahawa West after a long illness on 25th September 2025 at The Nairobi West Hospital. He was a former town clerk at Karatina, Kerugoya,Teso and Bungoma Municipalities.

He was the son of Rose Wambui Wang’ondu.

Husband of Catherine Mumbi Warui of Nairobi County Government. Father of Nickson Mugweru and Hotensia.

Brother of William Mugweru and grandfather of Noel Wachira.

He was a son in Law of the late Moses Warui Kamanja and Rose Wangechi Warui.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Referral Hospital Funeral Home for burial on 03rd October 2025 at 7:00am. The funeral services will be held at his rural home in Chieni, Mikundi in Mathira, Nyeri County.

Funeral meetings are being held daily at Exit 11 (inn) Eastern Bypass and at his rural home in Chieni, Mathira.
