He was the beloved son of the late Nahashon Gatua and the late Gladys Muthoni.

Beloved husband of Judy Gathigia. Loving father of Dixon Murage, Patrick Mwangi, Pauline Nyawira, Nancy Micere, Jackson Maina, Lilian Waniiku, Alice Wangu, Michael Kinyua and Leonard Murimi. Father in-law of Anne Wambui, Ephraim Kinyua, Samuel Moriasi, Florence Wanjiku, Joseph Munyua, Rosemary Wangechi and Pauline Wairimu.

Brother of the late Lilian Wanjiku Kanyi, the late Ngando Gatua, the late Leonard Murimi, Christopher Wanjohi (Wabethi) and Agnes Njeri Ngari.

Beloved son in-law of the late Jason Kiai and the late Bilha Wangithi. A loving grandfather and great grandfather to many.

The cortege leaves Mukurwe-ini level 4 hospital mortuary on Wednesday 22nd Oct, 2025 at 9.00 AM for a funeral service at family ground, Kibirigwi/Ngurumo road at 10:00 AM and thereafter to his home at Gitahiki, for laying to rest.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Nancy Gatumbo, which occurred on Monday, 13th October 2025, after a brave fight with a blood disorder and complications arising from her diagnosis.

She was the beloved wife of James Gatumbo Gitonga, and a dedicated mother of Noureen Thogori, Beatrice Gatumbo and Sarah Powell. Mother-in-law of Greg Ngundo and Kevin Powell. Doting grandmother of Grace Ngundo, Avon Powell, Nancy Ngundo, and Jasmine Powell.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Erastus Githu and the late Beatrice Nyaruiru. Daughter-in-law of the late Titus Gitonga and the late Veronica Thogori.

Loving sister of Muigai Githu, Dr. Dickson Githu, Henry Githu, Esther Njoki, Margaret Gaceri, the late Elizabeth Waweru, Lucy Kiragu, the late Sarah Nyambura and the late George Githu.

Sister-in-law of John Wambugu, Sarah Nyokabi, Peter Nderitu, Priscilla Rindi, Magdaline Wanjiru, Charles Warui, Virginia Wangui, Ruth Githu, Germana Mugo, the late Lucy Muniu, the late George Waweru, the late Julius Kiragu, the late Castrol Wainaina, and Salome Gachuki. She was a caring aunt, and friend to many.

Meetings to plan and share updates are being held daily from 5:30 p.m. In Nanyuki at Emess Hotel and in Nairobi at All Saints Cathedral, Room No. 8•

The cortege will leave the Mwai Kibaki Funeral Home on Wednesday, 22nd October 2025, for a funeral service and interment at the Gitonga Family Home in Witima, Othaya.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Joseph Ngigi Mburu (formerly of CRI-KARLO) of Gad Iguru, Kibichoi, Githunguri, Kiambu County, who passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday 18th October 2025. Joseph was a devoted family man and one of Kenya’s ForemostAgricultural Scientists who spent a lifetime serving the coffee industry.

Son of the late Mzee Paul Mburu Njihia and the late Naomi Njoki Mburu.

Loving husband of Retired Elder Rebecca Njeri Ngigi. Father of the late Leah Njoki, Rachael Waithira, Paul Mburu, Mary Mugure(UK) and Nathaniel Kahuria. Father-in-law of Josephine Wanjiru Mburu, and Cynthia Wangithi Kahuria. Grandfather of Kyle Ngigi Mburu, Ryan Kirori Mburu and Aira Njeri Mburu.

Brother of Samuel Njuguna, Mary Wanjiru Nganga, the late Dr Joseph Karanja, Joyce Wanjiku, Johnson Njoroge, Lucy Mumbi, Francis Gichuho, Simon Nganga, and Eunice Wambui. Brother-in-law of many. Uncle, cousin, and friend of many more.

Beloved daughter of Sarah Munoru and the late Prof. G.G.S. Munoru. Loving sister of Susan Mburu, Jennifer Kinyanzwii, Comfort Mwangi, Charles Gichia, and Cathrine Mwende.

The late before his demise, was working at Kenya Forestry Research institute (KEFRI) – Central Highlands Eco-Region Research Programme (CHERP) Muguga.

He was son of the late Joseph Kundos and the late Mary Kundos of Timboroa Location, Chirchir Village, tiasin Gishu County.

Husband of Carolyne Chepngetich. Father of Doreen Chepkorir, Brian Komen, Obadiah Kibet and Joash Kigen.

He was son-in-law of the late Charles Langat and Grace Langat of Chesiliot Village, Londiani.
