With hearts full of love and deep sadness, we share the news of the passing of John Oluoch Onyango (Retired Director of Agriculture at the Ministry of Agriculture, Mbita) on the 4th of October 2025 after a short illness.

He was the son of the late Japuonj Fredrick Arthur Onyango and Meresia Adhiambo Onyango and Son-in-law of the late Tranquillino Solis and the late Narcisa Ella.

He was the loving husband of Dolores Onyango and a loving father of Timothy Solis Onyango and Maria Teresa Onyango. John was the dotting grandfather of Zoey Monae Omondi.

John was a brother of Pamela Onyango, Nicholas Onyango, Elizabeth Siso, the late Samuel Were, Eric Omondi, the late Caleb Onyango and Francis Otieno.

He was the brother in law of Dorothy Onyango, Alice Were, Josephine Omondi and Christina Otieno. He was a cousin, uncle and friend of many whose kind and lively nature touched countless lives.

The cortege will leave Kwee Farewell Home on Thursday the 23rd of October 2025 and proceed to hold the funeral service at ACK St. Stephen’s Church (main Cathedral) Kisumu at 12 noon. The burial will take place on the 24th of October 2025 at the family’s home in Seme Kadero, Kisumu County.

He was also a son-in-law of the late Paul M’mbwanga and the late Yonga M’mbwanga.

The cortege will depart from MTRH Funeral Home, Eldoret, on October 27, 2025, for his home in Mitua village, Tongaren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM at his home in Mitua Village, Tongaren Sub County, Bungoma County, next to Mitua Girls School

She was the loving mother of Duein Mwendwa. Agnes was the first born daughter of late Florence Beth Ngui. She was beloved sister of Kathini Bernice (Kwa Vonza Primary) and Mesh Emmah ((lima Fashions). She was a devoted aunt of Dylan and Daryl Mutua, and baby Sifa.

She was the granddaughter of Lenah Ngui.

She was also a caring cousin of Sammy Maithya, Florence Beth, Joshua Ngui, See, Beth, Kasele,Vele, Rhoda among many, and a beloved niece of Agnes Mwalimu Maithya Ngui, Simeon Ngui. and Kavata Ngui. Sister in-law of the late Timothy Mutua.

Barako served with distinction at the International Committee of the Rod Cross (ICRC) Kenya, where his compassion, quiet strength and steadfast commitment to humanitarian service left a lasting mark on colleagues and the communities he served.

In peace and gratitude, we celebrate the transition to glory of our dear Teresia Wangari Kamweru (Triza) for a life beautifully lived. She peacefully rested in the Lord’s embrace on Thursday, 16th October 2025, after bravely and faithfully battling illness.

Triza was the cherished wife of Samson Mwangi, formerly of Equity Afya and The Nairobi Hospital. She was the devoted mother of Aryanna Wanjiku, Arthur Mwangi, Alex Kamweru, and Aydan Munjogu — all at Nova Pioneer.

She was the precious daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Christopher Kamweru of Mugumo, Kiambu, a beloved daughter-in-law of Mr, & Mrs.Wilfred Mwangi of Kimunye, Kirinyaga.

A loving sister of Caroline Wambui (Maxam) and Nicholas Munjogu (M-Pesa Africa), and a treasured sister-in-law of Pauline, Julius and Sicily, Alice, Lucy, Kinyati and Wan-luyu. She was an affectionate auntie of many.

Triza was a beacon of love, kindness, and faith – a blessing to all who knew her. She previously worked with LICT, Population Services International (Tanzania), and Unilever (Vietnam, Tanzania, and Kenya). She was a committed and active member of Ridgeways Baptist Church.

Prayer meetings are being held every day at Golden Palm Estate, Njathaini Road, her parents’ home in Mugumo, Kiambu and Kimurtye, Kirinyaga.

A celebration of life Memorial Service will be held at Ridgeways Baptist Church, Off Kiambu Road, on Wednesday, 22nd October, from 1:00 PM.

Her final send-off will be on Friday, 24th October, beginning at 6:30 AM from Lee Funeral Home, as we accompany her to her peaceful resting place at the family home in Kimunye, Kirinyaga.

Her gentle spirit arid unwavering faith will forever remain a light in our hearts.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Nancy Gatumbo, which occurred on Monday, 13th October 2025, after a brave fight with a blood disorder and complications arising from her diagnosis.

She was the beloved wife of James Gatumbo Gitonga, and a dedicated mother of Noureen Thogori, Beatrice Gatumbo and Sarah Powell. Mother-in-law of Greg Ngundo and Kevin Powell. Doting grandmother of Grace Ngundo, Avon Powell, Nancy Ngundo, and Jasmine Powell.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Erastus Githu and the late Beatrice Nyaruiru. Daughter-in-law of the late Titus Gitonga and the late Veronica Thogori.

Loving sister of Muigai Githu, Dr. Dickson Githu, Henry Githu, Esther Njoki, Margaret Gaceri, the late Elizabeth Waweru, Lucy Kiragu, the late Sarah Nyambura and the late George Githu.

Sister-in-law of John Wambugu, Sarah Nyokabi, Peter Nderitu, Priscilla Rindi, Magdaline Wanjiru, Charles Warui, Virginia Wangui, Ruth Githu, Germana Mugo, the late Lucy Muniu, the late George Waweru, the late Julius Kiragu, the late Castrol Wainaina, and Salome Gachuki. She was a caring aunt, and friend to many.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Joseph Ngigi Mburu (formerly of CRI-KARLO) of Gad Iguru, Kibichoi, Githunguri, Kiambu County, who passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday 18th October 2025. Joseph was a devoted family man and one of Kenya’s ForemostAgricultural Scientists who spent a lifetime serving the coffee industry.

Son of the late Mzee Paul Mburu Njihia and the late Naomi Njoki Mburu.

Loving husband of Retired Elder Rebecca Njeri Ngigi. Father of the late Leah Njoki, Rachael Waithira, Paul Mburu, Mary Mugure(UK) and Nathaniel Kahuria. Father-in-law of Josephine Wanjiru Mburu, and Cynthia Wangithi Kahuria. Grandfather of Kyle Ngigi Mburu, Ryan Kirori Mburu and Aira Njeri Mburu.

The late before his demise, was working at Kenya Forestry Research institute (KEFRI) – Central Highlands Eco-Region Research Programme (CHERP) Muguga.

He was son of the late Joseph Kundos and the late Mary Kundos of Timboroa Location, Chirchir Village, tiasin Gishu County.
