It is with deep sorrow that the Okumu family announces the passing of our beloved firstborn son and brother, Arthur Clifford Ochieng Okumu.

Arthur was the cherished son of Joseph Okumu and Vicki Okumu; devoted brother of Gloria Okumu, Dr. Rowland Okello Okumu, Kim Anthony Okumu, and Barbara Atoz Okumu.

He was brother in law of Faith Mutua Okello and Lynn Mwangangi Okumu; and a loving uncle of Hawi, Jedidah, Kinda,Amani, and Wema.

He was also a beloved grandson and nephew and cousin to many.

He is an alumnus of Starehe Boys Centre and graduated with a B.Corn from Kenyatta University and a CPA from Strathmore University. He later worked at GlaxoSmithKline and Barclays Bank.

A funeral mass will be held at Nairobi Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, 29th October 2025, at 2pm.

The burial will take place at his home in Thim Kwe, Kisaju, on Thursday October 30th starting from 9:00 a.m.

He was the beloved husband of the late Penina Chepkoech Kapere and Margaret Atieno Kapere.

Son of the late Antonius Kapere Adie and the late Maria Gombe Mbai and son-in-law of the late Jairo Samoei, Lydia Samoei, Joyce Samoei, the late Marcelus Omwandho and the late Agnes Ornwandho.

Father of Benard, George, Jackline, Carol, Nicole, Lynn, Samora, Martin, Eddie, Keke and Dette. Father-in-law of Eunice, Judith, Emmanuel, Mildred, Roba and Nkatha.

Brother of Alloice,the late Lucia, Prisilla, Sellah, Monica and Francis.

Brother in-law of Sally, Zipporah, Florence, Alice, Bramwel, Caroline, Everlyne, Joan, Sila, Janet, Anne and Jeff. Grandfather and great-grandfather to many.

He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Requiem Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Milimani on Thursday, 30th October 2025 at 10.00 am.

Burial will be held on Friday, 31st October 2025 at his home in Kawuor Location, Kadie Village in Kabondo Kasipul.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Professor Peter Anthony Martinus Nyongesa Misiko, which occurred on Friday, 17th October 2025, at St. Francis Community Hospital, Nairobi, after a short illness. Professor Misiko was a distinguished scholar and educator who served at Egerton University upto 1998 when he retired.

Born on 11th June 1932 to the late Mzee Nicholas Walumoli Misiko and the late Susana Namikoye in Chelekeyi—Misikhu, he was the beloved husband of the late Esther Jepkorir Misiko, and loving father of Cynthia Nasike Chebii, Prof Chelagat Namulunda Misiko, Nafula Elizabeth Misiko, David Tembi Misiko, Ruth Misiko Villinger and Paul Mabonga Misiko.

Brother of the late Edward, Matthias, Christine, Maurison, Dr Stanley Mabonga, Thomas, the late Josephat, Bishop George Mabonga, Androno, Wangila. the late Gilbert, the late Alexander, Lynette, Nafuna among others.

Son-in-law of the late Phillip Kandie Cheptoo and Susan Tungo Kandie. Brother in law of the late Martha Kolomiy, the late Peris Kimwarey, the late Enoch, Eunice Cherogony, Agnes Cherogony, the late Amos, Dinah Tongony, the late Eric, Dr Kaabon, Amb.
