A dear brother of Nkatha, Gacheri, the late Paul, Bridget, and the !ate Karani, brother-in-law of Muchai, Kinyua, the late loyce, Gatobu, Anne, Mr & Mrs Peter Karanja, Mr & Mrs R. Karuru, Rev. Mr & Mrs Henry Gacheru Kaira, Mr & Mrs Daniel Gathaiya among many others..

Adored grandfather of Zhara, Zorah and Zani Muriuki (USA). He was uncle, mentor and friend to many.

He was the loving husband of Angie Ireri, and a devoted father of Lian Waithera and Ella Gathoni.

Frank was a loving nephew, caring uncle, loyal friend, and mentor to many whose lives he touched deeply with his warmth, generosity, and wisdom.

He faithfully served as a Director on the Amref Health Africa International Board and on the Board of AMREF Flying Doctors, dedicating his time and expertise to advancing better health for African communities.

A funeral service will be held at Karura Community Chapel on Friday, 31st October 2025, at 9:00 a.m., followed by cremation.

He was the son of the late Canon Jeremiah Musungu Awori and the late Mama Mariam Odongo Awori of Samia, Busia County. He was a brother of the late Musa, the late Perus Awori, the late Joshua A. Awori, the late W.W.W. Awori, the late Rhoda Ouya, Hon Dr. Moody A. Awori (former Vice President of Kenya), the late Hannington H. O. Awori, the late Winnie Odera, Margaret Openda, the late Prof. Nelson W. Awori, the late Eng. Ernest A. Awori, the late Hon. Aggrey S Awori, Grace Wakhungu, Dr. Mary E. Okelo, Christine A. Hayanga, Willis Awori and Naomi M Awori.

Henry was the first Commissioner of Insurance in Kenya and he previously served as General Manager of Kenya National Assurance Company.

He was a devoted husband of the late Irene Awori and later Margaret Kaluu. Loving father of Nicholas (Nicky) Architect (USA), Emmanuel, Videographer, Christian – Realtor (USA), Bobby – Artist Entrepreneur and Palmer (Junior) Entrepreneur. Grandfather of seven grand daughters all based in the USA.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday 1st November, 2025 at 11.00 a.m at the Montezuma Funeral Home (Chapel) off the Raila Odinga Way (formerly Mbagathi Way) Nairobi.

Burial will take place on Tuesday 4th November, 2025 at his family home in Gulumwoyo Village, Funyula, Samia Busia County.
