It is in humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mwalimu Charity Muthiri Gichuki of Kwanjiku, Marmanet in Laikipia and also Niabini in Nyandarua which occurred on the 4th of October 2025.

Charity is the daughter of the late Solomon Wahome Muteithia and the late Zipporah Wangechi of Rititi, Kirimukuyu, Nyeri. She was the daughter in-law of the late Bachia Kanaiya and the late Lucy Waigumo of Thiha, Mihuti, Mukurweini in Nyeri.

Loving wife of the late Mwalimu-Retired Elder Simon Gichuki Bachia. Mother of Denis Bachia and the late Catherine Bachia, the late Doris Waigumo and the late James Rioba, Eudious Wangeci and the late Jeremiah lbui, Solomon Wahome and Dr Grace Wahome and Mercy Wangari and Dr. Daniel Dumere.

Sister of Colonel Muteithia, the late Muriithi, Esther, Kibira, Wanjira, Muriukl, the late Muthoni, Warigia and Maina.

Sister in- law of the late Kam-au, Ndegwa, Gathogo. the late Wangari,Wambura, Njeri and Wakarindi.

Grandmother of Ian, Simon, Catherine, Florence, Charity, Sylvia, Beth, Kenton, Annet, Winnie, Muthiri, Mutai, Awinja, Roger and Kanaiya. She is a great grandmother of Jayden, Liam, Layla, Newton, Kristy, Kayla, Kelcy, Alexa and Gianna and an auntie to many.

The family and friends are meeting everyday at her home in Kwanjiku, Marmanet in Laikipia. Meetings in Nairobi will be held at St. Andrews, on Tuesday, 14th, Wednesday, 15th and Thursday, 16th from 5.30 pm.

On Sunday, October 12th at 3.00 pm there will be a celebration of life service at St. Andrews Church,

A similar service will be held on 11th October, 2025 at Seacliff Presbyterian Church in Adelaide at 3.00 pm.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home, on Friday the 17th October, 2025 at 5.00 am for a Burial Service at their farm in Kwanjiku.

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of the will of God that we announce the untimely demise of Brian Mbugua Irungu that occurred on 6th October, 2025 at Nairobi West Hospital [ICU], following a tragic car accident on 27th September, 2025.

He was the beloved son of Patrick Irungu Mbugua and Keziah Waceke. Brother of Diana Wanjiru Irungu.

Grandson of Jane Wanjiru Mbugua, the late Robert Mwika and the late Ruth Nyokabi.

Nephew of Jo and Solomon Obasuyi, Anthony Karanja, Lynne Mumbi, Joe Nganga and Susan, Obed Thumbi and Eunice, the late Daniel Ngige and Elizabeth Njoki.

Cousin of Owen Obasuyi, Robert Mwika, Ruth Nyokabi, Karuri and Wanjiru among many others.

Burial preparations are taking place every day at his home in Kilimani.

The cortege will depart from Montezuma Funeral Home, Mbagathi Way Nairobi on Tuesday 14th October, 2025 at 8:00AM for the funeral service and final rites in Upper Matasia [Kahara] Ngong, Kajiado North Sub County from 11:00 AM.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Jackline Chepkoech Korir of KBC, Menegai Currency Centre, which occurred on 6th October 2025 at Valley Hospital.

Jackline was a wife of Alfred Bett and devoted mother of Tsimone Cheptoo (Mary Hill Girls, Thika) and Lacmore Kiprotich (Kagaki School).

She was the cherished daughter of the late Dr. Joel Korir and Nancy Langat. and a daughter-in-law of Joseph Chepkwony and the late Rose Chepkwony.

She was a dear sister of Hellen. late Erick, and joyleen. a sister-in-law of Josiah, Alessio, Benard, Ferdinand, Diana, Linet, and Jackline was also a loving aunt of Larry, Kaylee, and Kendall, and a treasured granddaughter of the late Musa and Sophia Langat, and the late Lelei Siwon and Tapsabei Siwon.

She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and
community.

Bob was the immediate former Principal of Lang’ata High School, and previous long serving Principal of Hospital Hill High School, and senior teacher at Buruburu Girls High School. He was known for his generosity, empathy, and unwavering devotion to family, community, and education_

There will be a fundraiser on Saturday 11th October from 3,00pm at AIC Milimani Church to cater for Bob’s hospital bill and funeral expenses.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday 15th October at AIC Milirnani Church from 11.00am.

Bob will be laid to rest at his some in Kawere Village (Nyabondo), Nyakach Sub-county, Kisumu County on Saturday 18th October 2025.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Dr Fred Masibo Simiyu, PhD, HSC, formerly the Ag. Director, Research and Trade Policy Analysis Directorate, of the State Department of Trade. Daktari rested on 26th September 2025 at 00:45 am, while undergoing treatment at The Nairobi West Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Teresa Masibo, headteacher Sirende Comprehensive School and beloved father of Brian, Ian, Joy, Marilyn, and John.

Daktari was brother of Phillip Simiyu, Peter Simiyu, Noah Simiyu, Geoffrey Saratuki, Seline Wabwoba, Josephine Sikhoya and Caroline Simiyu.

He was brother-in-law of John Wechuli, Edward Wechuli, Rose Wechuli, Mary Wechuli and others. He was uncle, colleague and friend to many.

The body will be transported from the Nairobi West Hospital Morgue to the family residence in Wehoya Farm, Sirende, Kitale on Friday, 10th October 2025, where he will be laid to rest on Saturday, 11th October 2025.

1987 – 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Olive Kaigongi Ouko on Monday October 06 2025.

Olive was the cherished daughter of the late Robert Ouko and Dr Jennifer Riria. Beloved sister of the late Kathy Makena and Denise Kemunto Nkatha, and a devoted mother of Damien Kimathi and Leylani Musindi.

She was a loving aunty of Sheena, Ivy, Kevin, and Luca and a loving niece, cousin and friend to many.

Comfort meetings are taking place at the family home in Muguga and at the Lavington Uni

A memorial service will be held on Monday 13th October 2025 at Lavington United Church Nairobi.

The final celebration of the life of our beloved Olive Kaigongi is scheduled for Tuesday 14th October 2025 at the family home in Muguga.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
