1t Anniversary

Gone – always loved and never forgotten

It has been a year since we farewelled our beloved father, whose steadfast love, warmth, and wisdom continue to echo through our lives. As a father, you guided us with patience and strength; as a husband, you shared unwavering devotion and partnership; as a brother, you held our family together with resilience, always guiding us through both the joyful times and the hardest days; as an uncle, your presence brought joy, laughter, and a sense of belonging to the extended family. You were a grandfather whose gentle spirit inspired and comforted, and a friend whose loyalty and kindness knew no bounds.

This past year has been almost unbearably hard. There have been moments when the reality of your absence struck with a force never imagined, leaving a silence so heavy it has been felt in every corner of our lives. The days have been filled with longing—sometimes sharp and sudden, sometimes a quiet ache that settles in and refuses to leave. Facing each day without you has been a challenge we were never prepared for, and there are times we’ve wondered how we would find our way through.

We are deeply grateful to every one of you who has held Richard Torrut’s family close this past year. Your prayers, your presence, and your incredible generosity have lifted us when we felt weak and comforted us when the days were hardest. You have stood with us in ways we will never forget and carried us through with love that has meant more than words can express.

Through every ache and every trial, our hearts overflow with gratitude to God for His sustaining grace, which has carried us through the hardest days and offered light when all seemed lost. There isn’t a day that goes by when we don’t feel the ache of your absence, Mzee, Our hearts are heavy with missing you. We hold tight to the hope that you are resting gently, wrapped in perfect peace, until the day we can embrace you again at Jesus’ feet. Until then, we carry your memory with us, loving you more deeply than words could ever say.
