It is with humble acceptance of God’s will we announce the passing of Mr. Josephat Mureithi Mutugi, MBS on Friday, 14th November, 2025.

He was the loving husband of Zipporah Muthoni and father of Anthony and AnneiThomas and Sharon, Douglas and James and Sheila. He was the doting grandfather of Erin, Josh, Elaine, Zoe, Amani and Mali.

He was the son of the late Njoroge Baragu and the late Mary Muthoni Kionano, brother to the late Gladys Wamuyu and Mwangi Gachirigwa, Lydia Wandia and Benson Kihuku and Rhoda Warukuri and John Mugera. Beloved uncle to many nephews and nieces.

He was son in law of the late Thomas Gachangi and Elizabeth Gachui. Brother-in-law of the late Esther and Absalom Karani, the late Milcah and Patrick Kimani and the late Mary Nloki.

He was in-law of Stanley Kamuyu Githaiga and Margaret Kamuyu, the late Dr. Benjamin Ngundo and Mary Ngundo and Prof. Alfred Otieno and Rose Onyango and to all their children.

Prayers will be held at his Loresho home on Monday, 17th November at 5.00 p.m. and Tuesday, 18th November at 5:00 p.m.

There will be a memorial service at All Saints Cathedral on Wednesday, November 19th from 2.00pm to 4:00pm.

He will be interred at his family home in Kirinyaga on Thursday, November 20th

Penina Nthenya Mwalavu (Mrs. Komora)

Born on 17th April 1965 in Mwaasua village,Wamunyu, Machakos County. Penina was the daughter of the late Mwalabu Muumo and the late Bibianna Nditi. Daughter-in-law of the late Samuel Balesa and Sarah Balesa.

She was a devoted wife of Mathew Komora, loving mother of Boaz Komora, Sara Kornora, Samuel Komora, and Felix Komora (Brian), and a proud grandmother of Gerald, Christel, Tamika, Bradley, Jabal, Ariana, Sekani, Zarah, Shiloh, Rylee, Samuel and Israel.

She was a sister of Joel, the late Angela, Beatrice, the late Alex and Dennis.

She was the beloved wife of Samuel Mukira Githaiga and loving mother of Lawrence Ken Githaiga, Theresia Anne Gathoni and John Bosco Gachoya.

She was sister of Michael Thuku, the late Jinnaries Murigu, Deodata Wanjiru, Margaret Wahito, the late Immaculate Wambui and Joseph Maim.

Emma Kanini was the devoted wife of the late Phillip Kitheka Kilia and a cherished mother of Maria Muthoka, the late Pascalina Wayua, Petronilla Nduku, Agnes Muinde (Old Mutual), Dr. Schola Makau (KEBS), Rueben Musyoki (KEBS), Carolina Mumo and Lawrence Wambua (Businessman, Nairobi).

She was mother-in-law of the late Muthoka, late Muli, late Joel Wambua, Peter Nzavi, Josphine, and Joyce.

Emma Kanini was a loving grandmother of the late Mutua, Celestine, Benedetta, Itumbi, Kanini, Ndila, Ndinda, Mulwa, the late Rose, Wanza, Tony, Kyalo, Fidellis, Margy, the late Shadrack, Jacinta, Eric, Edwin, Ashley, Kevin, Victor, Stacy, Dennis, Mutheu, Syombua, Kitheka, Mutulu (Kawinzi), Muuo, and Israel. She was also a great-grandmother of many.

We regret to announce the death of Enock Kiprotich Boinett of Merewet Farm, who passed away on 4′ November 2025, while undergoing medical treatment at Reale Hospital, Eldoret. Until his demise he was headteacher at Chelalang Primary School.

He was married to Ruth Jepkogei Kiprotich. He was father of Collins Kimaru Boinett and Gideon Cheruiyot Boinett.

Son of the late George Boineu and Leah Boinett of Merewet, Uasin Gishu County. Loving brother of Caroline, Maryann, Robinson, the late Peris, Robert, Edina, Isaack, and Tracy.

Son-in-law of Rtd. Chief Joseph Kipsang Kiprotich and Mary Kiprotich of Kapkitony, Mao Location, Elgeyo Marakwet County. Brother-in-law of Abraham, Diana, Priscall,Ann, Andrew, Rhoda, lsaack, and Becky. He was a nephew, cousin, and uncle to the larger Boinett family and a friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily for prayers and moral support at his residence in Kimumu, Eldoret town, and at Merewet Farm in Uasin Gishu County.

The cortege leaves MTRH Eldoret on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 9.00am, for a memorial service at A.I.C. Vineyard, Kimumu, Eldoret, followed by in overnight stay at his residence in Kimumu. The funeral service and burial will be held on November 15, 2025, at Merewet Farm.

Engineer Christopher Mwachi Muhande

It is with great sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we share the passing of Engineer Christopher Mwachi Muhande, previously of Norken Ltd. on Wednesday, 5th November 2025. Christopher was a pillar in our lives and will be deeply missed.

He was the loving husband to Regina Lihabi Shikala, and father of Concepta, Joan, Paul and Stella.

He was the son of the late Alphonce Muhande and the late Bertha Ingato; 5th born in a large loving family of 13 siblings including Andrea Shimekha, Linus Luseno, Tresina Buhasio. Stanslaus Lumasai, Angelina Chitwa and Josephine Aluuwa, all deceased. He is survived by two sisters, Electina Mukabwa and Jacinta Adeli.

He was a cherished grandfather of Kwame Amolo, Maria Nafula, Grace Dhabi and Matthew Muhande.

He was a caring father-in-Law of Neville Amolo and will be greatly missed by his in-laws, extended family, friends and the many communities he touched with his kindness and generosity.

Prayers and meetings are being held daily at the family home in Nairobi until Wednesday 12th November 2025.

Forever in Our Hearts

It is now two years since Mary Njeri Kantai left us to be with the Lord.

The impact of her life continues to be felt by her husband, children, grandchildren, the larger family, friends, church and all the lives she touched.

We were blessed to have her with us and fondly hold the memories.

The family plans to hold a memorial and unveiling of the cross service on Saturday, November 15th, at the Kantai family home in Oloolua, Ngong from 10:30 am.
