In Loving Memory

The family of Lizzie Wanyoike lovingly shares the remembrance of a woman whose life was defined by visionary leadership, boundless generosity and unwavering strength.

It is difficult to imagine that two years have passed since we said goodbye to our beloved Matriarch. Yet, the sense of her presence remains with us every day. While time has softened the sharpness of our grief, it has not lessened the love we carry, nor has it reduced the immense space she holds in our hearts and lives.

Our Mum was the heart and foundation of our family—kind, compassionate and quietly strong. A devoted mother and mentor; she will always be remembered for her wisdom and her unshakable belief in the power of integrity. She had a unique way of making everyone feel valued, always putting family first and offering support without hesitation. She believed deeply in community, mentorship, and leaving the world better than she found it.

Her legacy lives on in the many lives she influenced, the opportunities she created, and the values she instilled in all who knew her.

Forever loved, deeply missed and always remembered by her children, family and friends. Our sister Lizzie Wanyoike was a remarkable down-to-earth woman of strength and an entrepreneur loved by all who knew her for her generosity and encouragement. She never believed in luck but hard work. Her focus was not to leave behind those with various challenges in life mentally and physically. She uplifted many lives. She believed in YES YOU CAN.

We will keep her in our hearts and celebrate her with love always

1st Anniversary

9th June, 1963 – 14th January, 2025

On this first anniversary, we pause to honor and remember Judy Wanjeri Thongori. A mother whose love was a shelter and whose wisdom was a guiding light, she nurtured with gentleness and shaped lives with faith, kindness, and courage. Her children found in her a compass, pointing always toward hope and strength. As a wife, she walked in devotion and grace. Her laughter was the melody of companionship, her counsel the anchor of shared dreams.

In matters of justice, Judy stood as ‘an icon. Her voice carried into courtrooms and communities, speaking for the voiceless, defending the vulnerable, and challenging the powerful with wisdom and resolve. She was more than an advocate—she was a beacon whose light illuminated paths of fairness and truth. Her journey was marked by dignity, her faith unshaken, her love unending. Though she rests, her spirit continues to inspire, her example continues to guide. Her memory is not confined to the past; it breathes in the present, in every life she touched, in every cause she championed, in every prayer whispered for justice and peace. She is remembered with reverence, celebrated with gratitude, and cherished with love. Her legacy is a living testimony—a reminder that one life, lived uprightly, can change the course of many.

Forever missed. Forever honored. Forever loved. Dearly missed by her Husband John Thongori, Children Tracy Wairimu Eric Thongori, friends and relatives.

“Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.”— Isaiah 57:2

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His faithful servants”— Psalms 116: 15

In Loving Memory

19th January 1993 – 8th January 2021

Fondly remembered by his father, mother, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, colleagues, neighbors and friends.

Five years have passed since you were suddenly plucked from us. We thought of you today as we did yesterday, the days before and the days to come. Our hearts ache and the tears and sadness just won’t stop flowing.

To your siblings you were the true loving brother, understanding, supportive, bright light and patient.

Son, though not physically with us, you will always live in each one of our hearts. For we know that what we enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us. It is more painful when the cause of your death stilt remains a mystery.

Those we dearly love remain with us, for love itself lives on and cherished memories never fade because a loved one has gone. Your death is an immeasurable loss to the family. But by the grace of God the family continues to stand.

You were a great unwavering reliable soul, and a blessing to us. Your signature laughter still rings in our ears and hearts.

John 16:12 Therefore, you have grief now, but will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
