It is with acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Francis Imbuye Sande (Daadi) on 20th January 2026 at the age of 86.

Daadi was the fourth born on of the late Pst. John Eshuchi and late Selina Pamba Sande.

He was a loving husband of Antonina Nerima, and a devoted father of Violet & the late Philip Odhiambo; Margaret Sarah & Japheth Asungu, Jackline Pamba & Hilary Oiera; John sinus & Praxides Okumu-Sande; and Joel Nadebu & Aifrida Boinett-Sande. He was Kuka of Juliana, Elsie, Andrew, Christine,Angela, Richard, Franklyn, Fidel, Emmet & Gerard and one great-grandchild Jaha.

He is survived by his sister Esther Ambale Sande and his Mulamwa Jane, Jessica & Mary Sande. He was preceded to glory by his siblings: Priscah Mwangu, Mary Eshlwani, Jerusa Nandwa, Ruth Wandera, Charles Sande, Floral) Aboka, Bishop Michael Sande, Fredrick Sande, and Margaret Sande.

It is with thanksgiving for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Nicholas Mwikwabe Until his demise, Nicholas served as Head of the Biosafety and Biosecurity Division, Assistant Principal Research Scientist, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the KEMRI Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme (KSRBS).

Nicholas was a loving husband of Rabecca Bisanju of Safaricom PLC Limited and a devoted and doting father of Zena Boke and Raya Bibi.

He was the beloved son of Mwalimu Francis Mwikwabe Nyamonge and Mary Sabayo Mwikwabe and Mary Mongosi Mwikwabe. He was the cherished brother of the late Julius Imbambare, Chacha Peter, Dominic Nyamohanga, Joseph Mwita, Mwita Angelo Nyamonge, Getrude Rimo, Gabriel Matete, Faustine Nyamohanga, Mary Martin Nyangi, and Philip Mosabi.

He was a treasured son-in-law of the late William Khakina and Mayi Beatrice Khakina, and a beloved brother-in-law of Catherine Mulemia, Timothy Wekesa, Sarah Nabukwangwa, Geoffrey Wambaya, Kevin Wekhomba, Rose Simuli and Dr. Lydia Nakhungu. Nicholas was a loving uncle, cousin, mentor, and friend to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at KEMRI Estate opposite Riara University along Raila Odinga Way, to condole with the family from 06:00 p.m.

The body will depart Lee Funeral Home on Thursday, 29th January 2026, for his home in Isebania town opposite the Mark Hotel, where an overnight vigil and prayers will be held. He will be laid to rest on Friday, 30th January 2026.
