Brother of Winnie, Joan, Bernard, Tonny, Collins, Catherine, Michael, Andrew, Charles, Nora, Lydia, Peter, Jackline, Nelson, Alice and Matilda Ndeda.

She was a sister of the late Lawrence Muchungu and Agusta Wakina. She was a grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother to many.

Family and friends are holding meetings daily at her home in Embu. Meetings in Nairobi are scheduled for Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th January 2026 at Holy Family Basilica Cardinal Otunga Plaza – Floor, Mother Teresa Room from 5.00pm for prayers and burial preparations.

There will be a Requiem Mass on Wednesday 7th January 2026, 11.00am at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church Parklands in Nairobi.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Kabati Funeral Home on Friday 9th January 2026 at 6.30 am. There will be a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Kyeni, Catholic Church at 11.00 am and burial thereafter in the family homestead in Kathera.

He was son of the late Stephen Mbuthia and the late Lucy Wathote and step-son of the late Virginia Wambui. He was a dear brother to the late Joseph Waruinge, Peninah Wanja, the late Andrew Karimi, Nicodemus Kamangu, Janet Wagaki, Esther Muiru and the late Ann Waithera. He was a step-brother to the late Mary Wanja, John Kwirika, Gichuhi Mbuthia, Daniel Ngunjiri, Beatrice Wanjiru and Gabriel Mugo.

Daniel was a loving husband to the late Agnes Gathoni Ngunjiri. He was a caring father to Lucy Wathote, Joyce Nyokabi, Catherine Wanja, and Joseph and Angeline Mbuthia. He was grandfather to Letoya and Imali Kiragu, Daniel Ngecu, Kelvin Ngunjiri, and Joy Gathoni. He was a great-grandfather to Tajeu Kiragu.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers at his family home in Munyaka, Nanyuki.

She was ACK pioneer female Chaplain serving from 1968 to 2005 in various ACK Churches within Nairobi; Mombasa & in several stations in the subcounties of Taita -Taveta County. Janet served as Instructor at Church Army Headquarters.

She was daughter of the late Wilmot Mwawasi and Dorothy Walegwa of Mgange Kinyasi; sister of Josephat Mkala (late), Evanson Mwandanda, Claude Mshila, Richard Mwaambi (late), Dickson Mshamba, Basil Lewela, Gertrude Mghoi & Lucy Wall.

Sister-in-law of jesicah Mkamburi, Olive Kitawa,Alice Ndisha(late), Mary Mnyamari, Lucy Wanyika, Florence Onyonka, Catherine Kambe(late), Grace Makanda & Charles Tonui. She was cousin, auntie, grandmother and friend to many.
