She was daughter of the late Ogeto Sitemba and Floca Nyamogori. She was step-daughter of Moyare.

She was a loving mother of the late Samson Nyambati Akara (who passed away on I 8/12/2025). Jepson Ogeto, Stella Okernwa, the late John Onyonka, the late George Morang’a, the late Esther Moraa, Vincent Kaunda and Winfrida Saringi.

She was co-wife of the late Mong’ina, the late Marinda, Moraa and the late Milka.

She was mother-in-law of Joan, Joseph Okemwa, Ruth, Salome, Lilian. the late Tom Ogeto, Carol, Nyabeta, Rose among others.

She was sister of Nyareso, the late Kemuma, the late Sr. Mogiti, the late Onkoba, the late Ombongi, Rosa, Ogeto, Ruth among others.

She was aunty of Kabas, Onkobas, Ombongis. Nyandikas, Ogetos among others.

Niece of the late Maranga, the late Mageto among others.

She was Kamati of Keremensia, the late Karen, the late jemima, Margaret, Robina. Korera of the late Muzungyo (Mt. Egon), the late Nyaberi, the late Ondogo, the late Onchiri, the late Mayaye, and the late Ogeto (Raitigo) among others.

She was step-mother of Okara, John, Rebecca, the Matongos, Tom, the late Sibota, Birundu, Onchomba among others.

She was grandmother of Flora, Kernunto, Winnie, Cindy, Anthony, Edricah, Edward Ogeto, Maureen, Sam, Caxton, Jesse, Dr. Okemwa, Innocent, Catherine Okemwa, Edward Onyonka, Ron Martin, Catherine Morang’a, Christine, Moraa Morang’a, Dan Ogeto, Sophie, Bradley, Moraa, DJ Bunney, Jill, Sammy Osinde, Derrick Daniel, Charles Borura among others. The bodies of the late Mama Catherine Nyaboke and her late first-born son, Arch. Samson Nyambati Akara, will leave Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) on Thursday, 8/1/2026. Burial will take place on Friday 9/1/2026 at her Nyaronde South Village home, Nyamira County.

She was a daughter in-law of the late Hiram Kiarie and Beth Njeri (Nyagaki).

Philip was the beloved husband of the late Grace Konyo Mwangi and they were blessed with twelve (12) children; the late Christine Njeri,Annmary Muthoni, Pitty Waithera, Sarah Mumbi, Simon Nduati, Jeddidah Nyambura, the late Ian Kibanya, Sally Wanjiku MaLivo, the late Naomi Waiyego, Moses Mbatia, the late Zipporah Nyaguthie, and Benjamin Mwangi. Twenty one (21) grandchildrenArny Grace, the late Winnie, Philip, Angela, Stacy, Philip (PK), Stephen Martin, Joy, Stephany, Nicole, Stanley, Mbatia, Grace, David, Shat line, Hadassah, Letisha, Mariah, John, and Laura.Arid three (3) great-grandchildren; Gloria, Nyambura, and Chloe.

Born in August 1938, he was the firstborn son of the late Norman Nduati and the late Damaris Njeri, and elder brother of the late Beth Waithera, the late Hezron Mbatia, the late Elisha Irungu Nduati, the late Beatrice Nyambura and the late Zakayo Ngirnei.

Philip was a trained Sales and Marketing professional, having worked with East Africa Industries (now Unilever), Pelican, Phillmans Engineering and Mather & Platt (Mather Platt Kenya), and was also a respected businessman. A committed Christian, his ministry began at PCEA Bahati, and he faithfully served as an elder at PCEA St. Andrews Church until his demise.

Prayers and fellowship are being held daily at PCEA St.Andrews Church from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

He was the son of the late Peter Makau Kaswii and the late Beatrice Kamene Makau, and son-in-law of Josiah Mull Wambua and Naomi Mutheu Wambua.

He was the brother of Seth Mutua, Simon Mutuku, Timothy Munyao, Mary- lkandi, Esther Mueni, the late Martha, Ruth Muema, Joyce Makau, the late Isaac Kaswii, Solomon Mutheke, Samuel Muthusi, Jacob Musyoka, and Catherine Mbithe.

Brother-in-law of the late David Mutua, the late Jane Mutuku, Phylis Munyao, the late Major lkandi, Joseph Mwanzau, the late Philip Muema, Philip Musembi, Mary Wambua, Janet Weru, Michael Nthenge, and Happy Koki.

He was the cherished son of the late Michael Obudho and the late Rispa Obudho.

He was loving brother of the late Hellen Obudho. David Ajwang Obudho, and Lorna Ogolla Obudho.
