A gentleman to the end, loved by many and a man of true faith

1949 – 2017

One year has passed since you left us and we continue to cherish all the wonderful memories you left with us. Although you left us suddenly, we appreciate that time has been a great healer and God continues to comfort our family.

As one year has passed we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the people who have been instrumental in walking with us through this difficult time. We would like to express a special thank you to His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta and Her Excellency First Lady Margaret Kenyatta for continuing to stand by the family through the past year. We are beyond grateful for all that you have done and remain heartened by your thoughtfulness towards our family.

We also wish to thank His Excellency Deputy President William Ruto and Her Excellency Mrs. Ruto for visiting with the family and their continued words of encouragement. Our gratitude goes to our Fathers’ colleagues in the Cabinet and in the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government led by Dr. Fred Matiangi who have continued to show concern and have encouraged us as a family. We appreciate your support and kindness.

We wish to thank all the ministers of faith who have stood by the family and continue to pray with the family and offer encouragement. We specifically want to thank The Nairobi Baptist Church and AIC Church, Bissil as well as all the pastors who led the funeral and burial proceedings. We also wish to thank the team of doctors who attended to the family following our Dear Father’s passing.

Most of all we wish to sincerely thank friends, family, the local and international community and all the well-wishers from across the country who turned out in large numbers to pay their respects to our Father arid continue to offer kind thoughts, prayers and messages of hope to the family one year on.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Daddy, we love you and miss you every day, We miss everything about you but when we look up in the heavenly clouds, we feel you smiling upon us. There is nothing none that fills us with pride than to call ourselves your children.
