It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our mother Mrs. Annah Oballa, wife of the late Mzee Barnabas Oballa Nyalik of Kano Kolwa, Buoye Village, Kisumu County.

Daugther of the late Mzee Obiya & Lorna Obiya of Kisumo Nyahera. Mother of Symphrose Ouma formerly of Aga Khan University, Magdalene, the late Sela, Mary Onyango of Multi Media University, the late Charles, Tom Oballa, Maurice Oballa, Jane Ochungi KEFRI-Maseno, the late Ainda and Betty Odhiambo – Sinaga Primary School. Sister-in-law of the late Mzee Oselu Nyalik, Maurice Nyalik, Paul Waindi. Co-wife of Martline Waindi, Pesila, Lucy, Serfina, Margaret, among others. Mother-in-law of Prof Walter Oyugi-Calisto Onyango, Francis Ochung’-KEFRI Hqs, formerly of UoN, the late Andrea Odhiambo, Dr Lawrence Odhiambo — Hospice Kisumu, Elizabeth Obala, Jerusa and Rose. Aunt of Chief Collins Odera. Grandmother of Arch. Pascal & Josephine Obala, Michael, Paul, Salome, Loise Oyugi, Brian Oyugi, Ochieng Odhiambo – Kapenguria, Stano Olonde (The People Newspapers), Vincent Nyalik, Lillian (UK), Apondi (Co-op-Kisii), Omondi, Onyango, Achieng’Ochung’, Odhiambo Marenya, Ochieng Obala, Annah, Dominic Obala among others.

There will be fund raising on 30th March 2017 at All Saints Cathedral from 5 pm and another one on Saturday 1st April 2017 at the Professional Centre Nairobi from 2.00 pm.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Mortuary Kisumu for a requiem mass on 7th April 2017, at St. John XII Catholic Rabuor Parish. Funeral and burial service will be held at her home Buoye Village on 8th April 2017 from 9.00 am.
