Arthur Clement Ali Matchembe

(1947 – 2019)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Arthur clement Matchembe which occurred on Sunday 6th January 2019. He hailed from Emutali Village, Khwisero, Kakamega County. Formerly of C.I.D Headquarters and Abaluhya Football Club.

Son of the late Mzee Joseph T. Matchembe and the late Mama Fridah Manyasi. Brother of John Anzabwa, Gladys Amukhoye, the late Phelesiah Caroli, the late Akhaukwa Matchembe, Hellen Maungu and Olivers Matchembe. Husband of Irene Nyangasi Ali of Chuvi Village, Maragoli. Father of Karen Arum, Keagan Ali, Garrincha Ali, Reagan Ali, Hamisi Ali, Yvonne Ali and Fridah Ali. Father-in-law of George Arum, Lilian Keagan, Jane Gariincha, Rose Reagan and Sikuku Hamisi. In-laws of the Aguya’s (Maragoli), Amukhoye’s (Evulakai), Caroli’s (Ebutsotso), Maungu’s (Bunyore), Arum’s (Kokwanyo), Angulu’s (Ebukanga), Matuko’s (Machakos), Omumia’s (Ebukanga) and the Athman’s (Mombasa). Cousin of Anindo, Grace Dabali, Akatsa, Shikule, Lukoye among others. Grandfather of Don, Del, Ryan, Gyan, Glen, Nyangasi, Mitchele, Chelsea, Shirlene (Lucy), Lavina, Mellow, Brighton, Ida, Leila and Mariam. Uncle of Desma, Moses, Green, Jared, Beauttah, Mary, Judith, Jacky, Carlos, Stanley, Mbayi, Maungu, James among others.

The cortege leaves Yala Mortuary on Thursday 17th January 2019 and burial will take place on Saturday 19th January 2019 at his home in Emutali Village, Emutsasa, Khwisero, Kakamega County.

There will be a fundraising on Tuesday 15th January 2019 at All Saints Cathedral from 5.00pm.
