Beatrice Wairimu Thuku (Wabeni)

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Beatrice Wairimu Thuku (Wabeni) of Giatutu Village, Gatanga Sub-County, Murang’a County, which occurred on Sunday, 13th July 2025 at 8:30 AM, at the age of 103 years.

Beatrice was the beloved wife of the late Benson Thuku Ngahu.

Daughter of the late Mahia Gatiiyu and Njeri Mahia, and sister of the late Mbuthia,Kibang’a, Wanjiru,Wanja, Gathoni, and Ndung’u Mahia.

She was a devoted mother of the late John Ngugi, the late Monica Mwihaki, Hezekiah Ndungu, Solomon Murigi, and Sabina Njeri. Mother-in-law of Beatrice Wanjiru, the late Joseph Karanja, Joyce Wanjiku, Loise Mugure, and the late Charles Mwaura. She was a cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to many.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home Kabati, for the burial which will take place on Friday, 18th July 2025 at her home in Giatutu Village, Gatanga Sub-County, Murang’a County.
