It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Rtd Snr Sergeant Bernard BillyWaithaka”Karatu”,which occurred on 30th December 2025.
He was the beloved son of the late Christopher Maim Waithaka and Violet Wanja Maina.
He was a loving husband of Monica Waithaka and a devoted father of Violet Wanja, Immaculate Muthoni, Florence Wanjiru and Gabriel, Mercy Wangeci and Josphat, Gladwell Wanjiku and Stephen, Ann Wangari and Nancy Wambui. He was a cherished grandfather of Ashley, Yvonne, Bernie, Stephanie, Leon, Berryl, Calvin, Benedict, Mcqueen, Alvin, and Quinter.
He was a dear brother of Florence Wanjiru, the late Gladwell Irungu, Nancy Manyeki, Adrine Waiyego, the late James, Jackson Njuguna Karatu chair lyego FCS and Catherine Njeri.
The funeral service will be held at Gacharaigu Primary School ground and thereafter, burial at his home Gacharaigo, Kagema, Murang’a County on Saturday, 10th January 2026.
