Beryl Atieno Omune

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Beryl Atieno Omune (Daisy) that took place on 19th December, 2025 at Rongo District Hospital.

She is the loving daughter of Mr. Martin Omune and Mama Silpher Auma.

Beloved wife of Mr. Amon Wekesa, and a mother of Victorin Nekesa, Alberto Khalende, Alfredo Khalende, and Alton Komune.

A sister of Wycliffe Omune, Quenter Omune, Lensa Omune, Dickson Omune, Collins Omune, Everlyne Omune and Byron Omune.

Her uncles are Elly Mwaya Onditi, the late Opon Onditi, among others. She is a sister-in-law, niece, cousin, and an aunt to many.

The burial service and interment will be held on Friday, 9th January 2026, at her matrimonial home in Busibwabo Location, Matayos Sub-county, Busia County.

Daily meetings are being held at her matrimonial home in Busia, and her father’s home in Rongo, Migori county.
