Geoffrey Gitaka Kimani

20 Years Anniversary

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hardworking hands at rest,

It broke our hearts to see you go.

They say there is a reason,They say time will heal,

But neither time nor reason will change the way we feel.

Your life was love and labor, Your love for your family true.

You did your best for all of us, We will always remember you.

You never looked for praises,And you were never one to boast.

You just went on quietly working for the ones you loved the most.

Your dreams were seldom spoken,Your wants were very few

And most of the time your worries Went unspoken too.

You were there… A firm foundation

Through all our storms of life,

A true friend we could turn to

When times were good or bad.

In life we loved you dearly; and in death we do the same,

One of our greatest blessings,

The man we called Husband, Dad, Grandfather, Relative and Friend.

Psalm I I 2:6, NIV

“Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.”

Ndugu Stephen Hanington Achieng’

 1937 – 18th January 2010

It’s now 11 years since you departed from us, while it is a long time but the memories of your smile are still fresh.

Today you are remembered by your grandchildren together with your loving wife Dada Consolata Awino Achieng, your brother Charles, your children Jenipher, Edward, Emilly, Milton, Evelyn, Pauline. Philip with their families, your extended family and your co-workers in the ministry of Christ.

It has not been easy without your physical presence, but through the pain of missing you we have each discovered strengths we did not know we had.

Strengths that could only have been discovered through self reflection in your remembrance your humble demeanour, humour, laughter, adherence to Christian values in all situations and unconditional love for the whole family.

That is what you taught your children and your grand children. Your love has continued to bind us together We continue to love and work with each other and learned to take care of your dear wife and our grandmother Nyar Obis.

We have learned to encourage and support each other in all situations.

Kuka, our entire great family is still united as you always taught us through Psalms 133.1.

Thank you for your love and sacrifice for the family. We thank God for giving you to us.

We know you watch over each one of us and you are proud of who we have become. We bless the Lord because our separation with you is only temporary and we shall soon meet again as our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ promised and we believe Him.

Continue resting in eternal peace Kuka, till we meet again.

Psalms 133.1 – behold how good and how pleasant it Is when brothers live In harmony.
