Ashford Kuria Maina who died in the Dusit Hotel terror attack on January 15, 2019

IN LOVING MEMORY

It has been 2 years since you left to join the angels, but it seems like 2 days.

You asked for so little but you gave us your all.

We fall asleep with you in our hearts each day.

You were such a beautiful soul and whenever a beautiful soul leaves the world, there is a sea of beautiful but VERY painful memories.

Two years since that day of terror on January 15th 2019, you left us, only with hope to hold onto.

Kuria, your presence is everywhere, enveloped by the kind of heartache you can feel in your bones, but comforted by the one who fills the heart with hope.

We know we will be okay, just not today. Grief never ends, but it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay.

Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. It’s the price of Love. We are still living off the love you showed all of us.

When a loved one becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. Know that You and your brave five brothers are treasured beyond measure.

Soar with the angels, until we meet again.

Your Family & Friends

First Anniversary

              1945 – 2020

Though your smile is gone forever and your hand we cannot touch, Still, we have so many memories of you.

Your memory is our keepsake with which we will never part. God has you in his keeping, we have you in our hearts.

It is sad to walk the road alone, instead of side by side, But to all, there comes a moment, when the ways of life divide

You gave us years of happiness, and suddenly you were gone, Then came the sorrow and tears, but you let us beautiful memories, we will treasure through the years

You were a man who had smiles to brighten our days, and always made us feel good with your warm words of praise.

You always had good stories to tell but just as importantly knew how to be a good listener as well.

You were patient and kind, the absolute best friend one could ask for, as you were no ordinary man Greatly missed by your dear wife, children, grandchildren, in-laws, the Kogalo family and friends.

Rest well Agwambo

Forever in our hearts

In Loving Memory/1st Anniversary

Dad, if what they say about time is true, that it heals all wounds, eases the pain and makes everything better, then why does it seem like its only yesterday you left us? The pain is still raw in our hearts, still feels like a horrible dream or a bad joke. Its one year since you left us, we are yet to come to terms with your demise.
Sadly missed, but fondly remembered, by your grandchildren, children, sisters, brothers, cucu, cousins, uncles, aunties, the entire Kaburus family and friends. IYou may no longer be with us physically but in our hearts you will remain forever. Continue watching over us from your place in heaven.

In Loving Memory

28th September 1960 – 22nd December 2018

Do not stand at my grave

and weep, I am not here;

do not sleep,

I am a thousand winds that

blow, I am the diamond glints in the lawn,

I am the sun on ripened grain,

I am the gentle falling rain,

am the soft stars that shine at night,

of quiet birds in circled flight.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there, I did not die.

You are dearly missed by your husband Cyrus, children Nyawira, Ciku and David.

Sons-in-law Mafabi and Chege. Your grandchildren Mo, Sofia, Fiona and KC, as well as your brothers, sisters and friends.

May God rest your soul in Eternal Peace.
