In Loving Memory – Fondly Remembered

Today marks the day that a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother left us to be with the Lord.

We celebrate your long life of 106 years.

You cherished family and gathered your strength from the authority of God’s word. We all remember fondly never being able to leave your home without a prayer and a gift you would always find something to give us to take home.

Although we miss your physical presence in our lives, your spirit and strength lives in all of us.

Our comfort lies in the words of the bible…

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” (John 11:25-26)

Fondly missed by your Maina Family, Children, grand Children and great grand Children and Friends.

We do not need a special day, to bring you to our minds

The days we do not think of you are very hard to find

Our hearts still ache with sadness and secret tears still

What it meant to lose you nobody will ever know

Our thoughts are always with you, your place no one fill

In life we loved you, in death we love you still

Our family chain is broken now, and nothing seems the some

But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again

We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will always

To walk with us throughout our lives until we meet again.

Fondly missed by all who called you Husband, Dad, Brother, Guka, Uncle, Friend and Mentor.

In Loving Memory/ 1st Anniversary

“Safe in the arms of Jesus”

Days have turned to weeks, months and today we count one year since you suddenly and painfully left us. Shock and grief Ain engulf our hearts as our feeble attempts to dry up our tears continue.

We get consolation from the knowledge that you are safe and secure with the Lord in His Heavenly abode; a sanctuary that is ever blessed. Pray for us as we pray for you daily till our resurrection.

Forever you remain in our hearts and thoughts. We cherish and love you always.

Fondly remembered by your loving Mum and Dad, Meshy, extended family members and friends.

“Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Jesus Christ. 1st Mess. 5:18”

2nd Anniversary

03/01/1943 — 28/01/2017

Mum, it has been two years since you left us.

We vividly remember that Saturday afternoon when you breathed your last and quietly went to be with the Lord. It broke our hearts to see you go, it pained us to say goodbye.

There are no words to express the emptiness we felt. The grief and pain in our hearts has been the hardest to deal with, reminiscing on the beautiful moments when you were still in our midst and weeping for the future with you that will never be.

Each day we learn how to forge ahead without you, taking comfort in the knowledge that God takes His best and nothing catches Him by surprise.

Dearly missed by your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the entire Mbirhi and Chagwi families.

You are too precious to be forgotten, though you are out of sight, you’ll always be in our hearts-We think of you in silence and remember you every day, in due season the Lord will clear the mist we will forget how long we’ve missed and embrace forever.

Our continued gratitude to all those who have stood with us, your presence and support has been of tremendous comfort.

Continue resting in peace Mama!

Isaiah 57:2 Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.

Remembering Mum

I’ll be the voice that whispers in the breeze. I’m peaceful now, put your mind at ease. I’ve rested my eyes and gone to sleep, But memories we’ve shared are yours to keep. Sometimes our final days may be a test, But remember me when I was at my best.

It’s been 2 years since you went home to be with the Lord. Your loving generosity left an indelible impression in our minds.

Missed by your loving children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers and the larger Wanyeki and Kamutu family.

For a mother is the only person on earth who can divide her love among all her children and each child still have all her love. A woman of noble character who can find? Proverbs 31:10

A life well lived

September 14th 1937 – January 26th 2009

A life well lived, is a precious gift, of hope, strength, love and grace, from a person who has made our world a brighter, better place. Though physically absent, you remain a strong presence in our lives, through the memories we carry, of the life we shared, filled with hope, joy, smiles and, occasionally, tears.

Your presence remains with us through the strong family ties that you built, and the many lasting  relationships that you formed, with friends and family who remain an integral part of our lives to this day.

You will forever remain in our hearts, through the good times and the laughter that we share, and through the support and love that you taught us to give to each other.

You left us a special gift., by teaching us how to live our lives well; by building us a strong, loving, and united family, and by building lasting, lifetime friendships built on trust.

You encouraged us to work hard and to aim high, and reminded us every day, to give back to the community and to the Country that raised us. You showed us how to face challenges together, and  you taught us how to love unconditionally, and to always value people above things.

Above all you left us the example of your own life, a life lived with a quiet dignity, grace, stoicisim, courage and humour, through good times and bad.

A Woman of Substance, you continue to guide us through the wonderful example that you set for all of us, and for the next generation.

As we mark ten years since you left us, you are greatly missed by all of your children, siblings, family and friends and by the grandchildren that you loved so dearly. Whilst we grieve your loss, we are comforted by our memories of the times we shared, and we treasure the values that you instilled in us. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten.

A life well lived is a legacy of joy and pride and pleasure, a loving, lasting memory our grateful hearts will always treasure.

Mummy, Dani, we remember you today, and we are thankful for the lifetime that you shared with us.

Keep resting with the angels.

On the 2nd Anniversary of the Day You Went Away Love lives on.

12/04/1959 – 25/01/2017

Mom – We thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday and days before that too. We think of you in silence, we often speak your name. All we have now are memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake with whom we will never part. God has you in His keeping, we have you in our hearts. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, No one else can ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone, for a part of us went with you the day God took you home. Remembering you is easy, we do it every day, but missing you is heartache that never goes away. We hold you tightly within our hearts and there you will remain. Until the joyous day arrives, that we will meet again.

Dearly missed by your mother Jane Wanjiru Nduati, children; Tony Kuria, Irene Kuria, Jeniffer Nyaga, Angela Nyaga and Chris Nyaga. Daughter in law Monicah Wanjiru and granddaughter Tasha Wangari Kuria. You are also missed by the extended family, friends and the larger society you impacted.

In God’s hands you rest and in our hearts forever.

5th Anniversary

Mom: It is five years today since we laid you to rest. A loving mother, wonderful wife, so loyal and true. “One in a million”, that wife and mother was you.

Just in your judgment, always fair and right. Every day we miss you and it hurts like the first day you gained your wings. Remembering you is easy, we do it every day. Missing you is a heartache that never goes away. You are near even if we don’t see you. You are with us even if you’re far away. You are in our hearts, our thoughts, our lives, always we still see your face before us.

We wish you were here physically today to see how we, your children, have grown much bigger and how dad’s hair is fast graying.

Rest in peace, with everlasting love from your husband, Paul K. Mutai (Pacamu) and children: Sharon, Shadrack and Shawn.

Fondly remembered by your mom, Mrs Sarah Ngetich (Olenguruone), your siblings: Malingson Koech (Lips Consult), Lorna Rono (KQ), Robert Koech (Safaricom), Janet kimondo (IEBC) Geofrey Koech (Director) and all your in-laws. Loved by your friends and all whom you knew.
