It is now one year since you left your earthly abode to go to your celestial home. You are fondly remembered by your husband, Dr. Joab Rosman Wasunna, with whom you shared a common name, “Darling:’

You are greatly missed by your children Elizabeth & Patrick Ochwa, Angela & Eric Rwiliriza, Anthony- & Eva Wasunna and Arthur & Isabelle Wasunna. Lovingly remembered by your grandchildren who are now a year older and always talk about their beautiful grandmother. Your wise counsel, love and friendship is missed by the larger Wasunna family, your siblings — the Oduols, the K’Ochieng clan, the Jasirus of Alego Kogelo and your wide network of friends around the world.

We are very grateful to the Anglican church represented by Mombasa Memorial Cathedral and Mama Rebecca Memorial Church, Maseno for the pastoral care. Our sincere thanks to all the past students and teachers of Star of the Sea High School Mombasa for all their support and prayers.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this note as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

Although it only seems like yesterday, it is a year since you unexpectedly heeded the trumpet call of your maker after a beautiful fathers’ day celebration with your family. Though physically missed, your boundless love still lives in our hearts. While it will never be the same, we will always cherish your guidance and the love we shared.
