We the family of the late James Njuguna Murugi wish to express our heartfelt and sincere gratitude to our relatives, friends, colleagues, neighbors and well wishers for the over whelming support following the passing on of our beloved son, brother, cousin, and nephew on 23rd September, 2019. We were deeply touched and encouraged by your prayers, messages of comfort and condolences, visits, material and financial support during the period of bereavement.

Our appreciation to the several funeral committees that immensely contributed to the befitting send off. Our special thanks to the doctors and care givers who attended our Dear James at both Muranga and Nairobi Hospital. We particularly thank most sincerely the leadership and members of P.C.E.A. Mbogoini and Muranga Churches as well as management and co-workers of Mentor Sacco.

Many stood with us and since it is not individually possible to thank you, kindly accept this message as our acknowledgment of our sincere appreciation. Thank you for your love.

We, the family of the Late Anne Mogoi Birundu wish to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude for the enormous outpouring of support we received during this time of our great loss of our beloved daughter and sister who passed away on 10th March 2019.

Special thanks go to the Ethiopian Airlines and to the Government of Kenya, represented by CS James Macharia, PS Esther Koimett and Ambassador Catherine Mwangi together with her office in Ethiopia. We recognise and appreciate the assistance given by several groups among them, BOKU University (Austria), PAUWES, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, BCC members, Kyeni Girls School, and Engineers professional colleagues.

Special appreciation goes to the Bishops and Clergy of The Nairobi International Lutheran Congregation, and Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya at ltierio and Kerina who led the memorial services. We are immeasurably thankful to family members, friends, neighbours and well-wishers who stood with us through their prayers, visits, spiritual, moral and financial support. You all made the journey bearable and we will forever be grateful to you. Finally, we thank the dedicated funeral committee in Nairobi chaired by Ben Sakawa.

As it may not be possible to thank all of you individually, kindly accept this as our acknowledgement and appreciation, may your kindness be rewarded abundantly by God Almighty.

We will be laying to rest, positively identified remains of Anne Mogoi Birundu, today, Tuesday 15th October 2019 at a private function in her rural home.

Dr. Jane Miano for your kind words of wisdom and the advice you accorded us, Nyawira Miano for keeping a close eye on Keguro, Dr. Jean Kagia and Nairobi Hospital staff, Doctors and staff members of Fortis hospital India, Dr. Nancy Kunyiha of Aga Khan hospital, Dr. Davey (Meditest clinic) and staff at MP Shah hospital for the incredible care accorded to mum, Dr. Chacha for being her strong tower and praying with her even as you carried out your procedures, Sister Wambui, Mrs Mau, (fondly referred to as “Aunty porridge”), for your constant supply of porridge, Mrs. Nellius Kariuki for the constant supply of fresh farm produce, Mrs. Jane Kariuki, Mrs. Muriithi, Mrs, Njoroge, Mrs Kamau, Mrs. Gichaga, Mr & Mrs Gitau, for your constant unwavering visits, Loresho worship team for singing and praying with mum, Loresho community church as a whole, Golden ladies and Circle of Hope, Women’s Guild Community, led by Esther Macharia — Amazing women of God we thank-you, Aunty Njeri (Mum’s sister and Aunty Kui (mums’ sister in law, ) mum’s close friends who kept her amused with shared experiences, Sonny’s ‘boys ‘ who were always there protecting us, all our friends and relatives who stood by us and comforted us and last but not least, to our awesome brother Keguro, who selflessly gave of himself to mum to ensure that she was always well taken care of and given the best comfort possible — we thank-you. God bless you all abundantly.

It is only in the harsh times that we really know what true love is.

Dad, one year has passed since you departed from us to be with the Lord. Words can’t express what you mean to us. Even though you are gone, you are and will always be in our thoughts and in our hearts. You left us beautiful memories and your love is still our guide. We are truly grateful.
