We the Gikonyo family of Immaculate Njeri Gikonyo wish to thank the Almighty God for the gift of life that He allowed us to share with Immaculate who was promoted to glory on the 14th September 2019.

We wish to express our deepest heart appreciation to all those who stood with us, condoled with us and supported us through prayers, messages, resources and all other ways. In particular we wish to thank all those who joined us at the Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home as we embarked on Imma’s final journey to Marmanet, those who attended the funeral meeting at United Kenya Club on Tuesday the 17th September 2019, the many families: the Kambo Njagis, the Kariring’as and the friends who travelled long distances to be at the burial, such was the love and support.

Special thanks to Dr. John Ngigi for the empathy and special considerations whilst Immaculate was a patient under his care. We are grateful to Nairobi West Hospital, particularly to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Renal Dialysis Unit. We shall eternally be grateful to Pastor John Ngugi of Redeemed Gospel Church, Nyahururu for the home visits and presiding over the funeral/burial service as per Imma’s wish. We thank the Bishops and Pastors of various denominations who attended the service in Imma’s honour. We acknowledge with gratitude the Catholic Church, OlJabet, the Parish Priest and CWA in offering the Holy Mass at the home.

We also thank the funeral committees both in Nairobi and Marmanet for the excellent planning, diligence and execution of duties that ensured a befitting send off.

As it is not possible to name all those who stood with us during this difficult period, please accept this, an acknowledgment of our deep appreciation.

Rest in the Lord Imma. Till we meet again.

We the Wachira Family would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all those who have stood with us through it all since Lily Wachuka Wachira was promoted to glory on 07th September, 2019.

To family, friends, fellow Christians, neighbours and many other people who gave us a shoulder to lean on and supported us in many different ways, we thank you. We appreciate the warmth and round-the-clock support that we received from the Mukunya and Murage families. We would like to thank Dr. Amin Medhat and Dr. Gladwell Kiarie for their expertise and for being there for Mum and for our family, ever since she was diagnosed with cancer. We would also like to thank Prof. Peter Mungai as well as the staff of Coptic Hospital.

We also extend our thanks to the congregations of PCEA Buruburu (Phase I) and PCEA Umoja for fellowship that strengthened us as a family and for having Lily as a part of you through the years. We would like to thank the friends and colleagues of Paul Murage, John Mukunya, Eva Njoki, Alex Mwangi and Grace Wakonyu for coming through for us. We felt your embrace. We also thank Pauline Njoki, Mum’s Caregiver who worked tirelessly to see to it that Mum was well catered for. You were God-sent. We the children, Paul, John, Eva, Alex and Grace would like to thank our Dad, Samuel E. Wachira Murage for loving Mum steadfastly since you exchanged vows over four decades ago. For us, it’s a gift that cannot be quantified.

Lily lived a full life. She fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. Her legacy of love overflows. We continue to celebrate her.

We the family of Elder Joel Njoroge (Kimundu) express our sincere gratitude to all those who stood with us following the sickness and demise of our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, the late Joyce Njeri Njoroge, on 30th August 2019.

Special thank you to the organising committee for tirelessly working on funeral preparations, PCEA Langata Parish and PCEA Karen Parish and their presiding reverends, Rev. Jason Mwirichia and Rev. Alfred Kanga respectively. We would like to thank all family members, friends, neighbours and well-wishers for your prayers, being there for us during the trying period and your generous support in cash and kind.

We also want to appreciate the medical team at Nairobi Women’s Hospital, staff of Avenue Homecare especially the two nurses who took care of mum till the final minute. We want each and every one of you to know that we are eternally grateful and may God bless you richly for giving Joyce a beautiful send-off.

We the Irangi family wish to thank the Almighty God for the gift of life that He allowed us to share with our beloved Elijah Musasia Irangi and the grace He has given us during this time of grief.

We wish to convey our deepest and heartfelt gratitude to all those who stood with us, mourned with us, condoled with us and supported us in all means after Daddy’s demise. We cannot mention you all by name but acknowledge that we could not have managed without your prayers, physical presence, material and emotional support.

We, the children, grandchildren, siblings and family of late John Kimani Garhathi, would like express our sincere gratitude for all those who stood with us following the demise of our beloved Kimani on 14th July 2019.

We would like to thank our families the Nyakinyoris, the Miries and the Muthumus; Kimani’s friends and friends of the family, for giving of their love, time and unwavering support. We also deeply appreciate the funeral committee both the group that met daily at his home and the on-ground team in Kiambaa for tirelessly working around the clock and giving of their resources.

A very special thank you goes to Dr. Ernest Kioko and his team who walked with Kimani through each and every step of his 15 year health journey. We also thank the Nairobi Hospital team that attended to Kimani on that fateful day for doing all they could.

Most specially, our warm and humble gratitude to Wamaitha Muthumu and the State House team for going far beyond what we thought possible to give Kimani a beautiful send-off.

We want each and every one of you to know that we are eternally grateful. May God bless you!

“Out of trials have emerged the strongest souls; the greatest characters are shaped with scars” No words ring more true than this when we think of Kimani. His steadfast strength and resilience is his legacy.

God gives and God takes away. We thank Him for the 61 years He gave us Kimani, Rest well Kim. Till we meet again.

Mama Dorah Indosio Murunga, has rested she passed on last Thursday morning on 19th September after an 8 year battle with cancer

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years. Maj. Gen (Rtd) Hezron Murunga, Her brother, Richard Ingutia and Her 5 Children Michael Andalo, Pablo Murunga, Charles Ambani, David Sumba & Salome Atubukha – Siangani, Her daughters in law, Nancy Andalo, Aggie Chweya Wangui Mumanyi, Elizabeth Ambani, Hilda Sumba and Her son in law, Johnson (The Kingi) Siangani

The jewels in her crown were her grandchildren Wesley, Eugene, Ronnie & Robbie; Andrew & David Maria, Zawadi & Baraka: Joshua & Esther and finally Tandi & Shaka (our newest arrival)

Funeral arrangements are ongoing led by the Organizing Committee and meetings are being held at United Kenya Club, Nairobi. A Fundraiser to offset Medical & Funeral Expenses is planned for Tuesday, 1st Oct 2019 at United Kenya Club from 18:00 Hrs

Daily Vigils are being held at the family home located at House No. 219, 1st North Avenue off Bungoma Road, Kahawa Sukari Estate

We, the children of the late Mzee Edward Kairu Kinya together with our extended families would like to express our appreciation and gratitude for the overwhelming support in various forms that we received following the passing on of our father on 6th August, 2019.

We would in particular like to thank his doctors and the staff and clergy at Eileen Moffat Home in Karen, Nairobi, where our father spent his last three weeks, his carers at his home in Gikui village, lyego, Muranga, the Judiciary led by the Honorable Chief Justice David Maraga, our Kangema Member of Parliament Hon Muturi Kigano, the Board of KCB Group, our local communities, all our friends and professional colleagues and all well-wishers as well as the Bishops and clergy that led the memorial and funeral services in ACK St Francis Church, Karen, Nairobi and ACK All Saints Kiawairegi Church in Gikui village, lyego, Muranga.

As it is not possible to name all those who stood with us during this difficult period, please accept this as an acknowledgement of our appreciation. We are truly thankful.
