Son of the late Mr Kimata and Mrs Peris Wanjiku Kimata. Husband of the late Mary Wambui Karanja. Father of Wanjiku, Njeri, Wangui, Kimata, Wairimu and Maina Karanja. Father-in-law of Joseph, Kennedy, Timothy, Steve and Beatrice. Grandfather of Davis, Zara,Nigel, Miriam, Samara, Michael Muiruri, Michael Karanja, Mariana, Wambui Karanja and Seth. Brother of the late Kiarie Kimata and Mukui Kimata. Brother-in-law of Jane Kiare and Jecinta Mukul. Uncle of Edwin, Jeff, Peris K., Peris M., Monica, Frankie and many others.

The cortege leaves the new Kenyatta University Teaching, Research and Referral Hospital Mortuary (KTRRH), on Eastern bypass, on 28/04/2021. The funeral ceremony will be at the graveside at Lang’ata Cemetery at 12.00pm.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mzee Ezara Lugano Mugera which occurred on Sunday 18th April, 2021, at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Eldoret.

Son of the late Petro Kamonya Mugera and the late Marita Ubaga Mugera. Husband of the late Bilha Kabaaga Mugera and later married Joyce Lugangi Aganda. Father of Edwin Mugera, Nancy Mugera, Pauline Mugera-Ng’ang’a, Nicholas Mweresa and Harriet Mugera. Father-in-law of the late Michael Ng’ang’a Wanjora and Eva Makena Mweresa. Grandfather of Jeremy, Bilha, Lincoln, Leon, Joshua, Lugano, Nkatha, Mugera and Mutugi. Brother of the late William Kivadze, the late Lorna Kasidi, the late Eddah ljaya, the late Feminah Kaluhi and late John Kamonya.

The cortege will leave the MTRH Morgue on Monday 26th April and make its way to his home in Musasa village, Koibarak Sub-location, Kemeloi Location, Nandi County for burial on Tuesday 27th April, 2021.

Mother-in-law of Fiona and Mary. Sister of the late John, Sr. Bendina (Mt. Camel), Austin, Bernadette, among many others. Sister-in-law of the late Samson, Mohammed, Micah, Beatrice, Bernard, Catherine, Agatha and Toroitich. Cousin of Hon. Dr. James Murgor – MP Keiyo North, Brig. (Rtd) Francis, Florence, Chemutai, among many others.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home on Tuesday 27th April, 2021 at 7.00am for a requiem mass and burial at the home, Menengai farm Ol’rongai. Due to government restrictions for in person gathering and the MoH protocols on burials, the final send off will be streamed live on Nakuru TV on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter and can be watched on www.nakuru.tv.

Son of the Late Samuel Njagi and Rosemary Muthoni Njeru (M’raci). Brother to Anderson Njeru (Formerly Telkom Kenya), John Muriuki (Tagarine Company). Silas Kinyua, Esther Gatiri and Purity Murugi.

Brother-in-law of Felista Njeru (Business) Esther Muriuki, Wawira Kinyua and Murangiri of Meru. Cousin to Bildad Ndwiga (Springboard Capital), Peter Murage, James Gichoyi, Esther Karimi, Esther Njoki, Winicate Wakio among others. Uncle and friend to many.

Relatives and friends are meeting at brother’s residence at Pipeline Nairobi (John Muriuki) and also at Kairungu Village in Gaturi South Sub location, Embu County.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta funeral home on Tuesday, 27th April 2021 for a burial service at Lang’ata Cemetry at 10.00am.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Rose Murugi Njeru on 19th April 2021 at Kenyatta National Hospital (Private Wing). The late Rose was working at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining, Nairobi.

She was daughter to Mr. & Mrs. Ezra and Aniceta Njeru. She was caring mother to Ivy Wakio (Catholic University) and Wayne Munene (Moi Forces Academy). She was sister to Jane (Nairobi Water Company) & Peter Mirara; Ann (Ministry of Transport) & Mugo Gatara; Nancy (St Teresa’s Girls H. School); Anthony (NCBA) & Lilian Muriithi; Augustine (Nairobi Water Bottlers) & Emma Nyaga; Martin (Britam) & Caroline Njagi; and, Dennis (KENTRADE) & Felista Gitonga.

She was a loving aunt to Davis & Eunice Patience & Anita Mirara, Steffie, Splendour & Precious Mugo; Karen, Stacy, Prudence & Jean Njiru; Ian & Sharlene Muriithi; Allan, Jim & Renee Nyaga; Patience, Steffie, Malka, Eliana & Elaine Njagi; and, Sharleen, Adrian & Albine Gitonga. She was a lovely niece and cousin to many. Rose was a fond grandmother to Keita, Taji, Liam, Krystale & Aimee.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Saturday 24th April 2021 for a funeral service at Kyeni Catholic Church, Runyenjes, Embu County. She will be laid to rest at her parents’ home at Gakwegori village.

Rose has fought the good fight she has finished the race; she has kept the faith. Glory to God!

Family and friends are meeting for prayers at her daughters (Jane Nyathiri) house, in Nairobi and also at her rural home in Karatina Mutathini Sub-location,Wakamata village.
