The family of the late Larry Ojuang’ Okumu, formerly of Kenya Power & Lighting Company, would like to announce his sudden demise on 14th April, 2021, after a short illness. He hailed from Lee Village, Sakwa Kamresi, Awendo, Migori County.

Son of the late Gabriel Okumu Ngige and Mama Teresia Okumu, Son-in-law of Anthony Onyango and Risper Onyango. Husband of Wilfrida Okumu. Father of Cynthia Okumu, Eugene Okumu, Don Okumu and Gabriel Okumu.

Brother of Everestus Okumu, the late Silas Okumu, Theodora Okumu, Fred Okumu, the late Dephina Okumu, Jack Okuniu, Benter Ouma, the late Beatrice Okumu, Tom Okumu, Bernard Okumu, Erick Okumu, Joyce Okumu, Sam Okumu, Florence Okumu, Paul Okumu, Alice Okumu, Stephen Okumu, and the late Andrew Okumu.

Brother-in-law of Charles Onyango, Carolyn Onyango, Eddah Onyango, Jenipher Onyango, Jacklyn Onyango, Catherine Onyango, Virginia Onyango, Philip Onyango, Rita Onyango, Beryl Onyango, Christopher Onyango, Paul Onyango, Catherine Onyango, Cecilia Onyango,V erah Onyango, Valerie Onyango, Austine Onyango and Laurine Onyango.

Friends and family are meeting at #95, Pioneer Estate Phase II off Outer Ring Road daily till 6.00pm.

A mass will be held at the Montezuma Monalisa Funeral home at 8:30 am on 22 April 2021. He will be laid to rest in Lee Village on 23 April 2021.

Isaac was the son of the late Benson Gichuld Ngayu and Margaret Waithiegeni. Brother to late Ngayu, late Mbaruku, Rahab Nyakwea, Samuel Wanderi and Leah Wanjiru. Zephalina was the daughter of the late David Kamuthu Muthoga and Phoebe Nyokabl. Sister to late Joseph Muthoga, Merlotti Wangeci, Charles Wambugu, Margaret Nyothaya, late George Kirethi, Mary Wambui, Rose Njeri and Stephen Kamunya.

Parents to Lucy Wamaitha & Jonathan Karkures, John & Pauline Waweru, Peter & Mary Kamuthu. Guardian’s to Jennifer Nyawira Wambugu. In-laws to late Oladaru & Monica of Kajiado, late Mr & Mrs Kimilu of Makuoni, late Jamleck Marubu & Beth Nyambura of Mugoiri Muranga.

The cortege leaves Outspan Hospital Mortuary, Nyeri on Wednesday, April 21st 2021 at 8.00am. The funeral service will be at PCEA Karuna-ini, Kimathi Location, Nyeri County same day at 11.00arn followed by burial in their home, at Karuna-ini Village.

It with great sadness that we announce the demise of John Mwangi Wandetto that occurred on 18th April 2021 at Mathari Consolata Hospital after a short illness. He was a former KBC Radio Technician, Journalist with the People Daily Newspaper and was recently working as a Contractor.

Son of the late Geoffrey Wandetto and late Charity Njeri Wandetto of Kangaita Village, Gaki Location Tetu Division Nyeri County. Loving husband of Agnes Wanjiru Mwangi (Deputy Principal – Gitwe Girls). Amazing father of Ivy Kinyanjui (PKF), Ian Wandetto (Multi-Media University) and Cynthia Wambui (Mt. Kenya University). Father-in-law to Patrick Kinyanjui. A wonderful grandfather to lvanna Kinyanjui.

Brother of the late Robert Nderi, Patrick Gitonga, Rose Nyambura, the late David Macheru, Nancy Wandetto (Nyewasco), Livingstone Mugo and James Wandetto. Brother-in-law of Richard Mahugu, Josphant Maina, Alice Nyakaria, Bernard Mute and Joyce Muturi. Son-in-law to Cyrus Muriithi and Virginia Muriithi.

He will be laid to rest at his Tambaya home, Mukurweini, Nyeri County on Thursday 22nd April 2021 starting from 10:00am.

Son-in-law to Geoffrey Gathungu and Veronica Wanjiru. Brother-in-law of Karue, Muriithi, Idah, Wanjugu and Wachira. Uncle and grandfather to many.

The cortege leaves Montezuma (Kabati) Mortuary at 8am on 23nd April 2021 for a burial service at home in Maki Estate, Thika.

Dr. Solomon Okumu Ndiao was the son of the late Erasto Migwambo and Pilista Muga. He was the Husband to Gladys Bonareri Okumu of Raila Educational Centre Nairobi.

Father to Fidel Okumu, Michael Okumu, Gemma Okumu and Petra Okumu.

Brother to Loyce Anyango, Norah Atieno, John Otieno, William Ndiao, Elly Ndiao, Jane Okello, Erick Ndiao and Damar Amollo.

There will be a requiem Mass at CUEA Main campus on Wednesday at 10.00am which will have restricted attendance according to MOH protocols but will be streamed on the University’s Facebook and Youtube accounts.

The Cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Thursday 22nd April 2021. The body will be laid to rest at his home in Kambui Village, Kakelo Location, Homabay County on Friday 23rd April 2021.

The cortege leaves Umash Mortuary, on Tuesday 20th April, 2021 at 8.00am, followed by burial on Wednesday 21st April, 2021, at his Home Tarakwa Farm.
