Mother in law to Mary (Kisii/ Kineni), Teresa (Kitale), late Mokua,Abuga (USA), Francis (Ngong), Rudia (Kenyenya), Hellena (Kenyenya), Moraa (Kineni), Ariisi (Joska), Bosibori (Kenyenya), Peninah (Msa) and Jane (Msa).

There will be a major fundraising today 1st Dec 2020 at Professional Centre from 5pm to meet the funeral costs.

The cortege will leave Umash funeral home on Thursday 3rd Dec 2020 for her home in Kenyenya village, Nyabisimba Sub location, Bonyamatuta location, Nyamira County. Burial will take place on Friday 4th Dec 2020.

A dear son of the late Mr. Michael Kerecha and Mrs. Paskaria Moraa, Onkoba, Mokano and Omwebu. A loving Husband of Mrs. Rachael Nyabiage Ratemo. Most adored father of the late Jackline, Innocent, Lorna, Paustine, Beatrice, Oscar & Irene, Doting Grandfather of Cornelius, Viciana, Ryan, Shailoh, Angelina, Zakia, Adah. Great-grandfather of Dida. Beloved brother of Joseph, Philip, Sabina, Salome, Franciscah, Shem, Francis, Andrew and Richard. An uncle of many. Cousin of Ratemo Ongeri, the late James Mokano and others. There will be a small service on Thursday 4.00pm and body viewing at the morgue before departing to Kisii. The cortege leaves KUTRRH, Nairobi on 3rd December, 2020. Mwalimu shall be laid to rest at his Kiogoro home, Kamagwa Village, Kisii County on Friday 4th December, 2020.

 It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of Simeon Manyim which occurred on 25th November 2020 at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH).

Simeon was from Kiropket-Kapsoen village, Kiminda sub-location, Kiminda location, Kapsabet Division in Nandi County. He was the son to the late Mr and Mrs Jemiah Soi and Ester Soi of Arap Maiwa. The late Simeon was the husband to Mary Chebet Manyim and loving father to Divinah Kemboi, Josphat Koech, the late Weldon Kipchirchir, Geoffrey Koech, Wesley Koech, Alfred Koech (Kenya Prison), Emmanuel Koech, Dennis Kipkemboi and Victor Koech. He was the father-in-law to Zeddy Koech, Evarlyne Koech and Nelley Koech.

He was the brother to Dinah Lagat, Joel Rop, Alice Kilach, Grace Korir, Annah Soi, Rachael Ng’etich, David Rop, Moses Rop, Johnstone Rop, Beatrice Bore and Bernard Rop. Son-in-law to the late Jonathan Sowe and Mrs Catherine Sowe. Brother-in-law to the late Joseph Lagat, the late Kilach, the late David Korir, Josphat Ng’etich and Solomo Bore. Grandfather to Collins Cheruiyot, Rayan Kiptanui, Abel Kipchuniba, Joan Chepchumba, Obed Kipchirchir, Cheryl Chepkemboi, Prudence, Dominic, Dennis, Dismus and Dickson.

The funeral service will take place on Tuesday 1st December 2020 at 1.00 p m. at their home in Nandi County followed by the burial thereafter.

The requiem mass will be held at Obwari on Friday 4th December 2020 at 11.00am and thereafter he will be laid to rest at his home.

Brother of Moraa, Nyanduko, Milkah, Mokeira, Rebecca, Magoma, Carren, Nyairo, Peter and Orucho, among others. Son-in-law of Mzee and the late Mama Onchwati. Brother-in-law, cousin and uncle to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily for burial arrangements at his Lang’ata Rubia residence and in Nyaikuro.

A memorial service will be held at CITAM, Valley Road on 08/12/2020 from 11.00am – 1.00pm.
