It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Rachel Wangari Henry which occurred on 22 July 2020 after a short illness.

Beloved wife of the late Henry Thumbi Ngonjo. Mother to the late Nathan Mwangi, Deborah & Daniel Karanja, Simon & Rebecca Maina, the late Esther Wanjiku, Elizabeth & Harrison Macharia, Felister & Peter Maina, Joyce & Benson Mithuka, Elijah Karagu and James & Caroline Mwangi. She was daughter of the late Josphat Wamwara and the late Esther Wanjiku. Sister to the late Veronica Wanjiru, James Mwangi, Jecinta Njeri, Felister Wambui, Magdalene Wanjiru and Mary Wandiga. She was a grandmother, great grandmother and auntie to many.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Thika on Tuesday 28 July 2020 at 7:00 a.m. for a funeral service and burial at her farm in Mathare-ini illage, Githima sub-location, Murang’a County.

Son of the late Kiplangat Bongei and the late Maria Bongei. Brother of Leah Chemirocha (Bot Lesebet) Tony Bongei, Mathew Bongei, Esther Mitei, Joseph Bongei and Joel Bongei. Husband of Elizabeth Bongei, Father of Alex (Keringet Secondary), Lawrence, Florence (KEMRI/WRP), Fredrick, Lily (Judiciary), Ben (PAEM-Embu ) and Frida (Kenyatta University). Father-in-Law of Jackline Kirui, Jackline Rono (Masaita Primary Sch), Andrew Maluki Naivasha Sub-County Hospital) and Sarah Bosibori (Murindati Pry Sch). Grandfather of Alfred, Maxwell, Andy, Mahlon, Allan, Maliah and Andrea. Uncle of many nephews and nieces. He was friend to many.

Family, colleagues and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home Millimet Village, Keringet. A fundraiser will be held on Wednesday 22nd July 2020 at home and contribution can be channeled through Mpesa No. 0721460573.

The cortege leaves Molo Sub-County Hospital Mortuary on today Friday 24th July 2020 at 9:00am for a Church Service at his home.

He will be laid to rest on Saturday 25th July, 2020 starting at 11:00am at his home Millimet Village, Keringet Location, Nakuru County.

He is the dear husband to Mrs. Rhoda Wamaitha and the son of the Late Solomon Gathinjaga Ndungo and the late Grace Wangui Gathinjaga. Father to Maina Mburu, Wangui Mburu, Nyambura & Geoffrey Sige and Wanjiku & Isaac Karogo. Brother to the late Wallace Ndungo, late Marion Wanjiku Kariuki (Mama Gachago) and the late Apollo Mureithi. Son-in-law to the late Nathaniel Kanyi and the late Tabitha Nyamburua, brother-in-law to the late Lillian Mugane, the late Dedan Maina, Matthew Ndau, the Late Joel Njogu, Ngonyo Mwangi, Wangui Wanjohi and Wanja Kimani. Doting grandfather to Titus Mburu, Pendo & Kiplang’at Sige and Mwangi & Nyambura Karogo, uncle, cousin, great-grandfather and mentor to many.

Due to government regulations on burial gatherings, he will be laid to rest on Saturday 25th July 2020 at his home in Kibiko B – Ngong in a private ceremony.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Penina Vilika Wasilwa of Lake Basin Development Authority, who passed on after a short illness on 21st July 2020.

The late Penina joined the services of the authority on 1st October 1997 as a clerical officer and was later on re-designated to the position of supplies assistant on 1st December 2003. Penina was hard working and discharged her duties with diligence and utmost dedication.

Death has robbed the authority a dedicated and resourceful young lady with the potential to serve the Authority many years.

Penina will be laid to rest on Saturday 25th July, 2020 in Lugusi location, Lutacho Sub-location in Kakamega County.
