Loving husband of Irene Onono Kilaha and dotting dad of Sheilah Caritas Kilaha (USA), Christine Kilaha (USA), Clara Kilaha (Uganda), Patrick Ijaika (Nairobi) and Martin Amadiva (Nairobi). Grandpa of Adrian, Ivanna, Calvin and Jason. Father-in-law of J. Kapere, E. Apeu.O, D. Odhiambo and J.S. Daudi. Brother of the late F. Esiemenyi, late John Mudanya, L. Kahuga, the late Vincent Kaduka, late Mary ljai, George Amahaya, A. Nyando, M. Kibisu, L. Indago and D. Adisa. Brother-in-law of late Selly Muhonja, B. Ombunga, the late Ruth, Judy among others. Son-in-law of mzee Javan Ombunga and mama Repha Wetende of Butere. Uncle to many.

The cortege leaves Jumuia Friends Funeral Home – Kaimosi on Sunday, 21st June 2020, for the funeral and burial service on Monday 22nd June 2020 at his home in Mugangu village, Ivola Sub Location,Tambua location,Vihiga County. There shall be strict observance of the government’s Coved— 19 control measures and guidelines.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the Diocese of Embu announces the untimely demise of Rev. Fr. Lawrence Kinyua Njiru who has endured a long illness on 14th June 2020.

Son of Alfred Njeru and Eusebia Warue. Brother of Peter Kariuki (businessman Runyenjes), Edward Njue (teacher), Caroline Muthoni and Piera Wanja (Mini inn). He hails from Kathanjuri village, Kathanjuri Sub-location, Kyeni Central Location, Runyenjes Sub County of Embu County.

The cortege leaves St. Raphael Mortuary-Consolata Hospital Kyeni on Sunday 21st June for requiem mass at Kyeni Parish at 3.00pm.The funeral mass will be on Monday 22nd June 2020 at Ss. Peter & Paul Cathedral – Karurina at 10.00am and thereafter the interment at Clergy Graveside in the Cathedral Grounds.

Relatives and friends are meeting for prayers at the parents home home at Kathanjuri-Kyeni and our lady of Assumption Embu Parish.

Wife of the late Elder Leonard Gichuhi Njoroge. Daughter of the late Rowland Gicharu Muriu and the late Jackeline Wanjiku Gicharu. Sister of Miriam Wathoni Mathenge, Wambui Njenga, James Muriu, Sr. William Kaniaru, John Gitau, Jane Wangari, Grace Gathoni, Elikana Kuria, Jekeria Njeri and Evanson Kinuthia. Sister-in-law of Henry Mwai Njoroge. Beloved mother of Dr Davies Njoroge Gichuhi & Dr Nancy Wanjiru Njoroge (SA), Fred Gicharu Gichuhi & Ann Njeri Gicharu (UK), Andrew Kung’u Gichuhi (UK). Grandmother of Michelle Wairimu Njoroge, Amy Njeri Njoroge, Leo Gichuhi Gicharu, Mia Wairimu Gicharu and Nicole Wairimu Kung’u.

Viewing of the body will take place at the Lee Funeral Home on 23rd June 2020 from 08:30 am. The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home at 09:00 am for the funeral service at The Church of the Torch, Kikuyu at 10:00 am and burial thereafter. Strict adherence to all MoH and GoK directives relating to COVID- 19 will be observed. Live streaming of celebration will be made available.

It is with the humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of David Peter Thuo that occurred on 3rd June 2020. He was laid to rest on 10th June 2020 at the Lang’ata Cemetery.

Son of the late Major (Rtd) Stephen Njunji Thuo and the late Mrs Pauline Wanjiku Thuo. Beloved husband of Priscilla Wangui Muthoni and proud father of Patricia Wanjiku Thuo and Stephen Njunji Thuo. Loving brother of Emily Waithira, Sylvia Wambuku, Evelyn Wairimu and Michael Mbote. Brother-in-law to Geoffrey Ruheni, Allan Waweru and Grace Wanjiru. Uncle to Nick, Jennifer, Jessica,Azriel & Benaiah. Great-Uncle to Precious & Jason.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all who took time to mourn, condole and pray with us following Thuo’s sudden death. Your encouragement, phone calls and messages of condolences, prayers and reassurance gave us strength and comfort. We thank you all for your overwhelming generosity that enabled us to give our beloved Thuo a befitting send-off. We would like to thank Michael Mukwanjeru, Moses (Musa) Kariuki, Nancy and Wilson Kimani and the Lang’ata Police Station for their assistance to the family on the day of Thuo’s passing. Once the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, we shall hold a memorial service to enable all attend and pay their last respects to the late David Peter Thuo. We thank you all for your individual and corporate assistance, financial and material contributions, support and dedication to us following the very painful loss of our beloved Thuo. In acceptance of God’s will, that we regret to announce the passing away of our beloved David Keli Kiilu formerly of BAT Kenya, on Friday 12th June 2020.

He was son of the late Onesmus Kiilu Kivila and Beth Ngii Kiilu of Kilyungi Village, Mbooni West, Makueni County. Kiilu was the father of Onesmus Kiilu and Melvin Musila Keli USA. He was brother to the late Mrs Rose Mbinda and late Peter Kivila Kiilu, Obed Mutunga Kiilu, Charles Wambua Kiilu, Paul Muli Kiilu, Jane Kiilu, and Rahab Mbithe Kiilu.

He was an astute professional in Public Relations and Corporate and Regulatory Affairs and a Fellow of the Public Relations Society of Kenya. He was staunch advocate of free trade and the integration of the East African Community, a role he played with excellence while at BAT Kenya, Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) as Chairman of Trustees and Life Governors, Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and the East African Business Council (EABC). He played a significant role in mainstreaming of the Jua Kali sector (SMEs) in Government policy. He was a friend, colleague and mentor to many in the corporate world.

The family appreciates the message of condolences from his His Excellency, President Uhuru Kenyatta and the support of various government ministries and industry associations during his career. We appreciate friends and colleagues for supporting Kiilu and everyone who walked with him during his illness until the time he has rested.

Keli Kiilu will be laid to rest on 23rd June 2020 at his home in Maavuni, Kilyungi in Mbooni, Makueni County. The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home Nairobi on Tuesday at 7:00am for burial at his home. In acknowledgement of the current environment with restriction on movement and public gatherings, the last rites for Kiilu will be conducted at his home in Mbooni in the presence of family members. Son of the late Rotich Chesum and Kimoi Chesum. Loving husband of Christine Ayabei of Uswo Primary School; Father of Dr Victor Kibet of KDF, Vanice Jepchirchir (Australia), Vincent Kipkemboi of Telkom Kenya, Viola Jebor of Madison Insurance and Vivian Jebiwot of NCBA Bank; Father in-law of Michael, Winnie, Kibet and Lilian; Grandfather of Jason, Liam, Kina and Gyan; Brother of Christina, Salina and Luka Ayabei; Uncle and friend to many.

He was a Senior Customer Relations Assistant at KEMRI’s Centre for Public Health Research (CPHR) in Nairobi.

Loving husband of Mrs. Pamela Akinyi Owuor of Jamhuri Primary School, with whom they have four daughters, Patricia Achieng’ Owuor (Titan Academy), Pauline Atieno Owuor (Califonia USA), Annette Aluoch Owuor (PC Kinyanjui Technical Institute), Mary Lucy Sedah Owuor (JKUAT University) and a Son, Emmanuel Sirama Owuor (Aviation Television). He was an adorable grandfather of Christine Pendo Owuor and Ivan Sirama Owuor.

Son of Mzee Andericus Obonyo Oloo, Mama Maria Aoko Obonyo and Stepson of Mama Catherine Apondi and Gladys Awino. He was a brother of John, Thomas, David, Wilfred, Daniel, Michael, Patrick, Antony the late Fredrick, Elizabeth, Caroline, Anjeline, Florence and Benter, the late Akinyi, the late Doris and the late Joan.
