It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the demise of our beloved Daisy on February 26th, 2020.

She was Wife to Sameer Merali. Mother to Reyna and Rivaan. Daughter-in-Law to Zarin and Naushad Merali. Sister-in-Law to Yasmin and Amine Sondarjee. Granddaughter to late C.V. Kamani and late S. C. Kamani. Daughter to Priscilla and Deepak Kamani. Niece to Chitra and Rashmi, Sudha and Preeti. Sister to Mansi and Sahil, Bobby and Zeenia, Abhishek and Shweta, Shrenik, Saagar, Shaneel and Annouska. Aunt to Natasha, Navaya, Nuraya, Nazara and Ahiaan.

The Merali and Kamani families will be accepting condolences on Sunday, 15th March at Nairobi Jaffery Sports Club, Naushad Merali Drive, Lavington between 10.00am and 1.00pm.

Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.

We the Family of Mzee James Walter Dickson Osok Metho of Kisumu Karateng regret to announce his passing on at Victoria Hospital in Kisumu on Saturday 15th February 2020.

Mzee was a wonderful Husband, a loving Father, an amazing In Law to many families, loved and cherished Grandfather, kind Uncle and dear friend to many.

Daily meetings are going on at his home in Kisumu Karateng, Ong’iyo Village from Wednesday 19th February 2020 and at Public Service Club, Kisumu from 5pm.

Mzee’s final journey will begin at Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary, Kisumu at 11.00am on 5th March 2020 followed by a funeral mass at All Saints Cathedral ACK, Maseno Parish. The cortege will thereafter head to his home for an overnight vigil.

The Funeral Service will be held on 6th March 2020 beginning.at 10.00am and the final rites and burial ceremony at his home in Ong’iyo village, Kisumu Karateng, Kisumu West, Kisumu County.

Son of the Late Miningwo Kiyai and the Late Talaa Miningwo. Husband of Paulina Kobilo Chebii. Father of Mary Miningwo of Ngetios Hardware (Ravine, Marigat), Julia Keitany (Langata High), Simon Miningwo (Eastern Produce- Nandi Hills), Methusella Miningwo (Keringet S/C Hospital), Cynthia Miningwo (Tionybei Kabarnet) and June Miningwo (Mangu Health Centre Nakuru). Brother of the Late Chebet Miningwo, Johana Miningwo, Kobilo Chemisto, Kobilo Chepyegon and Albert Miningwo. Son-in-law of the Late Chesaina Chemon and the Late Shokwei Chesaina. Father-in-law of Obadiah, Dicoster, Jane, Andrew and Kenson. Grandfather of Assumpta, Billy, Caren, Laura, Kipchumba, Kiprop, Chelimo, Kemboi, Jemuge, Miningwo, Kibet, Chiri, Yegon, Kandie, Meshack, Kebut and Tamara Grace.

The cortege will leave MTRH Eldoret on Saturday 29/2/2020 at 7:30am. Burial and funeral service will begin at 10.00 am at his home in Keturwo, Baringo County.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of Hon. Cyrus Omondi Odhiambo — MCA Kahawa Wendani Ward, Ruiru, Kiambu County and a treasurer of World Parliamentary Scouts Union, and a former Scouts Commissioner/ Camp Manager Kenya Scout Association.

Son of the late George Odhiambo, and Mama Millicent Odhiambo. A loving husband of Jackline Mwongeli. A loving father of Lawrence Omondi, Millicent Omondi and Maryanne Omondi. A great brother to Felix Otieno Odhiambo (KDF), Stephen Odhiambo (IBM), John Paul Odhiambo (KDF) and Kevin Odhiambo (Business Man). Son-in-law of Michael Ndome and Rose Ndome. Brother in law to Agnes, Irene, Christine, John, Bernard and Francis. Cousin to Awour, Emma, Chrispine, Deborah, Andrew, Ruth, Adrian, Genevieve, Omondi, Apidi, Beryl, Lewis, Michael, Ela, Nelly and Margaret.

Up until his death, he served the people of Kahawa Wendani with dilligence and passion. He was a focused, charitable and development conscious leader who served his people and represented them fully in the county assembly. He served Kiambu County as the Chairperson of the Education Committee. He will be dearly missed for his unrelenting pursuit for justice, for his humor and his slogan that rang true — Unity in Diversity!

Family and friends are having daily prayers and meetings from 5:00pm at his home in Kahawa Wendani.

There will be requiem Mass on 4th March at St. Joseph Catholic Church Kahawa Sukari at 12noon and on Thursday 5th March 2020 at Ukwala Catholic Church at 12noon.

The cortege leaves Nairobi on Thursday 5th March bound for Siaya — Ukwala. His body will arrive at Kisumu International Airport on 5th March at 10:00AM.The funeral will take place on 6th March at his rural home Masat VilIllage, Ukwala, Siaya County.

The Catholic Diocese of Malindi would like to announce the sudden death of Rev. Fr. Robert Ribiro Maina of St. John the Baptist Parish, Watamu. The death occurred on Saturday evening, 22nd February 2020 through a tragic road accident.

He was born on 18th October 1974 and was ordained Priest on 17th March 2012. After his ordination, he served in many Capacities and Parishes within the Diocese among them St Francis of Assisi Parish – Baharini, St Joseph the worker Parish – Marafa as a Parish Priest, Motolese School as Principal, St. Anthony Cathedral and St. John the Baptist Parish Watamu where he served last before his demise. Fr. Robert was also the National Chairman of the Catholic Private Education Institutions Association – Kenya (CaPEIA).

Fr. Robert was beloved son of the late Hillary Maina Njuguna and Lydia Waithera Maina. He was brother to Lawrence Njuguna, George Ngan’ga (Allan), Raphael Guchu, Roseline Njeri, Sr. Josephine Wanjiku Maina, and the Late Dorcas Wairimu Maina. Uncle and cousin to many.

The cortege leaves Star Hospital in Malindi on Monday 2nd March 2020 at 11am to St. John the Baptist Parish – Watamu, followed by viewing of the body and thereafter Requiem Mass which will start at 2:00 p.m at the same venue. After Mass, the cortege will leave for St. Anthony Cathedral Malindi for night vigil starting at 6pm.

In the morning of Tuesday 3rd March 2020, the cortege leaves St. Anthony Cathedral Malindi at 9am with a procession via Malindi – Lamu road to Bishop Francis Baldacchino Primary School where the Funeral mass will be held starting at 10:00 a.m. Thereafter, burial will take place at Zawadi House (next to Bishop Francis Baldacchino Primary School/Pope Francis Rescue Centre Malindi).

Burial will take place on Saturday 7th FebruallY 2020 in Nyabera Village, Uyoma Kokwiri, Rariecia District at 10am.
