We regret to announce the passing on of Matriach Edith Wangari Ngatia, which occurred on Saturday 2nd November, 2019.

Beloved wife of the late Ngatia Gathenya. Mother of Wangui, John Maina, Beatrice Wanjiku, Joseph Wahome, Eunice Nyakeru, Eng. Symon Muita (KENHA), Catherine Nyaguthii and Wilberforce Ndungu. Mother-in-love of Agnes Ngima Maina, Paul Kagiri, Rev. Benson Wambari, Susan Wamuyu Muita (Kilimabogo Teachers College) and Winfred Ngima Ndungu. She leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Burial arrangement meetings will be taking place daily at her home Mutinju Village near Huho-ini Tea Buying Centre.

The cortege will leave Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan), at 9.00am on 8th November, 2019 for burial ceremony at Huhoini Primary School rounds next to Huhoini PCEA Church followed by burial at her home (Mutinju Village) in uhoini Location, Tetu West Sub-county, Nyeri County.

Brother of the late John Kavondo, the late Charles Kimuyu, Lydia Wayua, Stephen Ndolo, the late Eunice Mutindi and Henry Muthoka. Son-in-law of the late James Muli and Serah Muli. Grandfather of Mary Mutoni, Eric Kioko, Eric Mulei, John Baraka, Jameson Ndunda, Sammy Matuku, Sammy Muthini and Jimmy Nzioki. Great grandfather of Melicious Bahati. Uncle of Nimrod Mulei, Richard Mbole, Ndululu Mwendwa, Shadrack Ndeti, Lucy Kioko, Mutinda Muthoka among others.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home on Friday 8th November, 2019 at 8.00am for burial at his home Kikunuani village, Lita location, Machakos County.

He shall be laid to rest on Saturday 9th November 2019 at his home Sio Village Bungoma.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Saturday 9th November 2019 at 6am and prayers will be held on the grave side and burial ceremony will start at 11.00 am at his home in Mwingi.
