It’s with deep sorrow that Biashara Sacco Society Ltd and Kaniarus’ family wish to announce the sudden death of Mr. David Maina Kaniaru (Brother Dave) which occurred on 21st May 2019 after short illness. He was a director and founder member of Biashara Sacco Society Ltd. He hails from Gaturuturu Village, Mahiga Location, Othaya Sub-county in Nyeri County.

Son of the late Jesee Kaniaru and the late Ruth Wanjiru. Husband of the late Jane Wanjiku and Anne Mwihaki. Father of Jesee Mwangi, Evan Wamumwe, the late Daniel Mathenge, Peter Githui, Susan Wanjiru, Priscah Wangechi and Jesee Mwangi Junior. He had many grandchildren. Brother of the late Wilson Wambugu, the late John Gikonyo, Titus Gitahi, the late Hiram Muchiri and Elijah Guama. Brother-in-law of Joseph Maina, Paul Bari, John Wanjohi, Moses Mwangi, Annah Nyambura, Jedidah Wambui and Elizabeth Muthoni. Son-in-law of Isaac Ngunjiri.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at Silent Hotel Othaya Town, his home at Gaturuturu and Leshau Gwa Kungu starting 5.00pm.

The cortege leaves Nyeri funeral home (Outspan) on Tuesday 28th May, 2019 at 8:00am thereafter, the funeral service will be held at his home in Nyahururu, Gwa-Kungu village, Nyakinyua area at 11:00am.

We loved you so much Brother Dave, but God loved you more. Rest in Peace.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the peaceful passing-on of Charles Nganga Gitome Chuma (Former Kenya Police Sergeant) on Sunday, 19th May 2019.

Son of the late Gerald Gitome and the later Phyllis Nyambarua Gitome. Loving husband of Esther Wanjugu Ng’ang’a. Loving father of Juliana Nyawira (Dubai), Phyllis Nyambura (Chichi of USA), Josephine Wangari, Jacob Njoroge (Gitome) and Rahab Wanjiru. A warm and wonderful grandfather of Keshia and Paul. Brother of Hortensia Mukami (Canada), GHK Gitome, Mburu Gitome (Seattle, USA), Josphine Wangari Kamau (Oregon USA), Janet Wambui Warari (Kenya Police), James Gitau, the late Geoffrey Wainaina, Margaret Wambui Kabuthia, Wangai Gitome (Seattle, USA), George Mungai and Mary Muthoni (Kenya Prisons).

The burial will be at his home on Thursday, 30th May 2019 at noon, in Nyandarua County, OlKalou, Passenga Sub-location, Silanga Plot 67 (Gwa Gitome).

Beloved wife of Prof. David Karungu Wang’ombe (Strathmore University). Mother of Joan Murugi Karungu and Rita Wairimu Karungu. She lived at Guango Estate Muchatha, Kiambu and comes from Kigongo Village, Gaturi Ward, Muranga.

Loving daughter of the Late Gerishon Kamau Mbogo and Deborah Wairimu Kamau. Daughter in Love to the Late Justus Wangombe Karungu and Charity Murugi Wangombe. Sister of Mary Wairimu Kamau and David Kamau, Elizabeth Wangui Mbiri (Twin Sister) and Josphat Mbiri, Magdalene Wangechi Muriithi and Francis Muriithi, Francis Mwangi Kamau, the Late Joseph Karungu and Eunice Karungu, Samson Kahiro and Florence Wambui Kahiro, Patrick Moturi, Martin Mwai and Caroline Mwai, Abigael Waruguru, James Kikuga, Stanley Gitau and Henry Kiragu.

Aunt to Dr Pauline Wairimu Mbiri, Regina Wariara Kamau, Bakitta Huini Mbiri, Lawrence Gecaga Muriithi, Sylvie Wairimu Mwangi, Lorraine Nyambura Muriithi, Deborah Wairimu Kamau, Michael Main& Muriithi, Deborah Wairimu Muriithi, and many more. Niece to Hannah Muturi, Prof Ngotho Kariuki, late Kaara Macharia, Rewel Ngahu, Jane Nyambura and many more. She was cousin of many.

The cortege will leave Montezuma funeral home, Mbagathi road, Nairobi on Thursday 30th May 2019 at 8.00am.

Funeral Church service will be held at Apostles of Jesus Catholic Shrine, Langata at 11.00am and thereafter the late Catherine Wanjiku Karungu will be laid to rest at Langata Cemetery, Nairobi.

Meetings are being held every day at All Saints Cathedral starting 5.30pm.

Wife of Mr. Sebastian Mbae (Materi Girls Center), daughter of the late Sebastian Bundi and Bierina Mukwaiti. Mother of Edwin Mbae, Liza Mbae, the late Mutwiri Mbae, Frida Mbae and Dora Mbae. Mother in law of the late Nzau Kalulu, Nancy Murimi and Mawira Mundi. Grandmother of Betty Murimi, Kathure Murimi, Mwenda Murimi, Keisha Alba, Sean Kenzo and Hailey Nkatha. Sister of Basil (Mbuni) Asunta, Rose, Igoki, Karirni, Gitonga, the late Micheni and Kawira. Sister in-law of the Mbogos.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Monday 3rd June, 2019 at 5.30 am for a funeral service to be presided over by Rt. Rev. Bishop Salesius Mugambi of the Catholic Diocese of Meru at Magundu Parish starting from 10.30am, and burial thereafter at Nkururu village, Mitheru location-Chuka.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Norwich Building from 5 pm – 8pm.

Son of the late Josiah Shaidi Kisoso and the late Rose Naisiae Kisoso. Beloved husband of Victoria Mutheu and Margaret Waithera. Father of Saruni, Leina, Nicholas, Happiness, Brian, Ian, Dorcas, Shaleen, lrene, Vivian and Junior Brother of Margaret Takona, Col. (Rtd.) Melton Kisoso and Susan Kisoso as well as the late Beadan Kisoso, Manasseh Kisoso, Elikana Kisoso, Joel Kisoso and Isack Kisoso. Uncle of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily from 4.00pm at the Kisoso’s Home in Oloolua, Ngong for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There will also be a funds-drive at the Kisoso’s on Sunday 26th May, 2019 at 2.00pm, to raise funds to offset the hospital bill.

Step-daughter of the late Mama Filkister Oyieke and the late Mama Susana Oyieke. Loving wife of Mzee Daniel Ogembo of Kojwach, Ringa. Devoted mother of Erick Onyango, Cephas Otieno, Lorna Onyango, Dr. Jane Achieng, the late John Oluoch, Lillian Akoth, Mary Ogembo-Oyugi, Kenneth Ouma, Ruth Agwanda, Roseline Atieno, Beatrice Adoyo, the late Davis Owuor and Patrick Okoch.
