We announce the death of Javan Fred Ochieng’ on Monday 24th July 2017 after a short illness. Former employee of Standard Chartered Bank and National Bank of Kenya.

Son of the late Mw. Fanuel and Felgona Ogony of Madeya, Sidindi. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Auma Othieng’. Father of John Umara Ochieng, Eric Ochieng (DT Bank) and Grace and Sean Ochieng (both deceased). Son in-law of the late John & Rosa Umara of Gem Karariw. Brother of Romulus Opondo, Mary Atieno, Dr Owen Ogony (KNH), Dorothy Ogony (UoN), Jane Odima (Deceased), Jacob Onyango (MEDS), Julius Ogony (Palladium), Christabel Adhiambo (Min. Youth Affairs), Dinah Obonyo (NBI Tech Institute) and Donald Ogony. Nephew of Mz. George Okoth,Walter Odera, Steve Okota, Betha Adhola, Isaac Okun (Deceased), Roselida Adera (Deceased). Funeral arrangements are taking place daily at his Loresho South home, Mukabi Drive Hse No. 64. Fundraising will take place on Wednesday 2nd August 2017, 5pm at All Saints Cathedral (ASC), all are welcome. Funeral service will be on Thursday 3rd August 2017 at 2pm at ASC. Burial will be on Saturday 5th August at Madeya Village, North Gem, Siaya County.

Dear wife of Joseph Ochieng’ Adero. Loving mother of Teddy Okoth and Dominic Adero. Daughter of Dalmas Aluodo Hongo and the late Phoebe Aluodo of Awasi, Pawteng’ Village. Step daughter of the late Teresa Aluodo, Jane Aluodo, Joyce Aluodo and Lorna Aluodo. Daughter in-law of the late Mwalimu Dominic Adero Odep and the late Mama Leonida Abwao Adero. Much loved sister, sister-in-law, daughter, daughter-in-law, niece and auntie of many.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta National Hospital on Thursday, August 03, 2017. Burial will be on Saturday, August 05, 2017, Miwani Division, Kabar West Sub Location, Kasongo Market. There will be fundraising on Tuesday, August 01, 2017 at Garden Square, 5:00 pm.

We sadly announce the passing on of our dear mother Alice Adede Otieno, who was previously an inspector with Kenya Prisons (Nairobi). She succumbed after battling with a brief illness at The Nairobi West Hospital.

Daughter of Esther Otieno and the late Nelson Otieno. Daughter-in-law of the late Japheth Nyabera Ogara and the late Abigail Adhiambo Nyabera.Wife of Samuel Wasonga, mother of Genevieve Wasonga, Winston Wasonga and Clinton Wasonga. Sister of the late Hilda Awuor, the late George Omondi, Joyce Adhiambo, the late James Okoth, Walter Onyango and Mary Atieno. Sister-in-law of Paul, Alice, Margaret, Mercy, Lena, Christine (USA), Betty (USA), Beatrice Auma (Sweden), Pauline Agatha, Caro, Jerry and Isaac. Aunty of Paddy, Phillip,Victor, Eugene,Wycliffe, Diana, Milena, Carlton, Nelson, Gloria, Sydney, Barbara, Hilda, Winston Nyabera, Michelle, Winston Nyarangi, Madison, Jason (USA), Timon, Joab, Abigail, Jeff, Betty, Besma, Sonia, Abby, Michelle (USA), Felix and Jackline.

Friends and Family are currently meeting at the family home in Greenfields estate house number 2575. Main Harambee will be held on 2nd August 2017 at The Professional Center from 5pm.The cortege leaves Montezuma funeral home on Thursday 3rd August 12pm for a requiem funeral service at 2pm at ACK St. Stephens Cathedral Jogoo Road. The funeral will take place on Saturday 5th August at her home in Ramba Kanyamedha, Kisumu county.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely demise of our beloved Hezron Opiyo Odeyo. Hezron was a valued member of ICEA LION General Insurance. Hezron tragically passed away on the evening of 26th July 2017 as a result of road accident.

He was the son of the late Hezron Opiyo Iro and the late Esther Akoth Odeyo. Loving husband to Susan Atieno Opiyo of College of Human Resource Management, Nairobi. Beloved father to Leshanne Nissi and Aaron Mitch of Sunrise Children Garden School. Son in law to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ouko of Tamu Muhoroni. Brother to Mildred Warinda, the late Samuel Onyango, Alice Owala, Pamela Sidori, George Ochieng, the late Hellen Atieno, Joram Opiyo, Zipporah Adhiambo and Zephaniah Akelo.

He was a relative to Ong’or, Obaje, Osura, Chore, Raburu, Aguko, Oguwi, Omolo, Nyaoke Iro and Owaka Iro.

The cortege will leave Chiromo Mortuary on 3rd August 2017 for a prayer service at CITAM Valley Road at 11am. Hezron will be laid to rest on 5th August 2017 in East Songhor sub location, Muhoroni Constituency, Kisumu County.

Funeral arrangement meetings are taking place at ACK All Saints Cathedral daily starting at 5.30pm. The family will hold a harambee at ACK All Saints Cathedral today, Tuesday 1st August, 2017 at 5.00p.m. All are welcome.

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Dismus Ndaraya Kihara and his wife Mary Muthoni Ndaraya. They hailed from Gakira village, Kaharo Sublocation, Gikondi Location, Mukurwe-ini Sub-county, Nyeri County.

Dismus Ndaraya is a son of the late Kihara and the late Muthoni. Mary Muthoni is a daughter of the late Peter Kamau and the late Florence Wakiuru. Parents to Timothy Kihara and Jane Ngima, the late Rose Njoki, Florence Waikuru and Dickson Macharia, Peter Kamau and Susan Wanjiku, Ceasar Mugweru and Mercy Wangechi, Moses Githaiga and Teresa Murugi, Patrick Maina and Florence Ruguru, they had many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dismus Ndaraya is a brother of the late Ceasar Mugweru, the late John Maina Kihara and the late Wangu.

Mary Muthoni is a sister of the late Beatrice Wambui, Moses Githaiga, Felishina Wambura, Cecilia Wangui and Rosebell Wathanu.

Family and friends are meeting daily at their home Gakira village, Kaharo Sublocation, and at their daughter’s home in Skuta-Nyeri and Nairobi Norwich Union for prayers and funeral arrangements starting at 6.00pm.

The corteges will leave Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan) on Saturday 5/8/2017 at 8.00am for funeral service at Gakira Primary School grounds starting at 11.00am and burial thereafter at their home in Gakira village, Kaharo Sublocation, Gikondi.

Beloved husband of Tracy Ombajo and caring father of Shana Ombajo. Much adored son of Mr Otieno Ombajo and Mrs Winnie Ombajo, Mrs Susan Ombajo, the late Mary Ombajo and Mrs Herin Ombajo. Loving brother of Valerie, Jackee, Belinda and Jerome, Phoebe, Junior, Dorothy, Jael, Jane, Roy, Nancy, Brenda, Rose, Allan, Evans, Roilex and Bobby. Son-in-law of Jean Museng’ya. Brother-in-law to the late Farizona Shabram, Jacob Otieno, Dr. Loice Achieng, the late Moses Orwe, late Judith Nyala, Fred Ayiera, Moses Onyango, Noah Ajuoga, Isaac Onyonyi, George Rambo, Dorothy Kasuku, Liz Oduor, Josephat Ndlovu, Bukana Onuoha, Jerome Foehr. Nephew, cousin and uncle of the Opiyo’s, Odongo’s, Okoth’s, Odhiambo’s and the Owegi’s. Uncle, faithful friend and an inspiring mentor to many.

Among the many initiatives that Kevin founded and inspired are the Events Managers Association of Kenya and the Muscles Men’s Fellowship.

Kevin will be laid to rest on Saturday, 5th August 2017 in Maugo village, Ndere sub-location North Gem, Siaya County.

Daughter of the late Zacharia Ndirangu wa Kibue and the late Elizabeth Wanjiru wa Gitau of Githiga, Muranga. Sister to the late Kibue, Chege, Munene, Gitau, Kamau, Kaime, Jemima and VVanyagi. Survived by her sisters Mary and Rebecca. Loving wife of the late Peter Morris Gitonga. Devoted mother of Samuel Murima Gitonga. Mother-in-law to the late Rose Njeri Gitonga. Loving grandmother to Richard and Gathoni Gitonga,Andrew Gitonga and Ben and Hannah Mbai. Great grandmother to Mbai, Nyambura, Jennifer, Ivy, Helena, Sam, Anthony and Chloe. She was a much loved friend and mentor to many.

Family and friends are holding the final meeting and prayers today at 5pm at Samona Farm Kentmere, Tigoni. The cortege will depart from Nazareth Hospital at 11am for the church service at 12 noon at All Saints Church Kamonde Limuru, next to Limuru Girls’ School on Thursday 3rd August, 2017.The service will be followed by interment at Samona Farm Kentmere,Tigoni.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Huruma Estate, Njoro. The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home Nakuru on Thursday 03/08/2017at 8.00am for Funeral Service at Njoro Golf Club from 10.00 am. Burial follows thereafter at his farm in Piave Njoro.
