Cicilia Wangari Kariuki (Shosh)

Birth 1943 Rested — 29th June 2025

It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden on of out beloved Matriarch Cicilia Wangari Kariuki (Shosh) on 29th June 2025.

Daughter of the late Moses Karanja & the late Hanna Njeri Karania.

Loving wife of Bernard Karuiki Nganga and daughter in law of late James Nganga Ngaku and the  late Charity Ngendo.

Loving mother of Benard Nganga Kariuki, Charity Ngendo, Millicent Njeri Mucheneh, Rachel Njeri, Antony Ngaku Kariuki, the late Patrick Peter Ndungu Kariuki, Susan Muthoni and Damaris Njeri. She was a not her-in-law of Anne Wangari, John Mcternan, Charles Mucheneh Ragui, Ledala Kingara and Ruth Wainhur.

She was a grandmother of Bob & Raechel Kariuki, Cecelia Nganga, Philo Wambui, Cecelia and Tiffany & Ewan Brown, Ron & Brandon Mucheneh, Clinton,Joseph & Pauline Kingara, Cecilia, Ann, Ian & Rodgers Ngaku, Lawrence, Lori Evans & Lawren Kariuki, Collins & Caleb Muthoni, Rodney Njeri (Damco) amongst others. Great grandmother of Ryan, Ann Karin, Owen, Declan, Nova, Tyronne amongst others.

Sister of Peter- Ndungu (Mbage), the late Christoper Kamau, late Phelistar Muthoni, John Bosco Niuguna, Joseph Kuria, and James Njoroge.

Prayers and meetings are being held daily at her home in Ruthiru ini Village, Kihingo Sub-location, Riabat Location, Kiambu County.

The Cortege leaves Kenyatta University Referral Mortuary on Tuesday, 8th July 2025 at 9.30 a.m for funeral service at ACK St. Philips Kihingo, at 11.00 am. thereafter. the burial will take place at her home at Ruthwu-ini, Kiambu County.
